lawani:
The orisas are not God, there is only one God according to all Nigerian cultures. Olodumare, Chukwuabiama, Osanobua are some of the names. That you bow down to an orisa or to your parents do not make them god or God. Osun is an orisa and not God. Then orisas have incarnated several times, this accounts for Osun marrying Sango, Osoosi and etc. Those must be different incarnations. Ogun have incarnated severally as the Onire, Alara, Ajero, Gbenagbena, Ogun Badagry and etc. It was the Alara that was fond of dog meat, the Ajero liked palm wine and etc. Even Ewuare of Benin was seen as an Ogun incarnate. That is the explanation about Osun having many husbands.
Stop saying what you don't know. Yoruba don't have only one God. . Stop being shamed of polytheism because others want you to.

many Irunmoles(spirit forces) are expressed into Orisa using actual historical events .
This expressions are the Orisa that we relate with as Gods
Olodumare being the senior Irunmole and 401st has no humanised expression like many other Irunmoles but Olodumare is not the only God. .the supreme? Sure but I disagree with the term "only"?

Read the OP thoroughly, you will see that what idol worshipers in Mecca were doing to their idols is what muslims too are doing to their allahh.

Since both of them are doing the same thing, why was Muhammad warring against the idol worshipers?

I think what happened was that Muhammad wanted other idol worshipers to abandone their idols and embrace only one, allahh that belongs to his fathers.
Oga, what do u mean by idol worship?

Dear biafrans I support ur struggle 100% but my problem is ur approach. I would want to suggest the following procedures and i can assure u its going to work out successfully. if u can unite and follow the following steps then i can tell, welcome to the Republic of Biafra in advance.
STEP 1
withdraw all ur services from Nigeria and render the Nigerians as u are the backbone of the country
STEP 2
Withdraw your kinsmen who are public office holders e.g Ike Ekweremadu, deputy senate president, Peter Obi the D.G of S.E.C
STEP 3
Reject all the ministerial nomination from the so called Nigeria.
STEP 4
Endeavour to reject Federal Allocation. u re very industrious people u will be better off without it
STEP 5
Stop all form of importation through the Nigerian sea port so that Nigeria will crumble without ur Tax
STEP 6
Recall all your sons and daughters from all parts of Nigeria to relocate to home untill this fight is over then Nigeria can beg them to come back as expatriate
STEP 7
Lock up all ur shops in idumota, Alaba international, Kano main market, and every other market even in the remote villages accross the country.
STEP 8
Go beyond closing of the Niger bridge stop all Nigerians from buying or selling in Onitsha Main market or Ariaria market in Aba.
STEP 9
Make sure u make ur Visa very hard for Nigerians.
STEP 10
This fight can be achieved without Violence just like south Sudan. Finally, make sure u dont fight it with weapons.
Igbo kwenu!!! hee!
Are u sure igbos are ready for this? This is hard work and risky deal you suggesting here

Please read the post again. The story of Lamurudu as father of Oduduwa is taught in schools and was passed down with the Mecca story. I am not an Awo but I know the Awo are custodians of Ifa and hence history. Each lineage also are custodians of their own history. It was Oduduwa himself that dropped the name Nimrod and it is for the benefit of arrogant folks who may believe their forebears were fools. I said I believe Oduduwa was expelled by and would have known Mohammed himself. His arrival is 51 Kings ago in Ife and at an average of around 30 years per King, a 7th century arrival date fits. The 5th Awujale was reigning when Oduduwa arrived, so the Awujale obviously arrived before Islam if my assumption that Mohammedans drove out Oduduwa is right. Mohammedans wiped out the old Arab dynasties that would have been descended from Nimrod with the excuse that they were polytheists that will be why there are no Arab monarchs claiming descent from Nimrod. I believe I have fully addressed your points.

What you are saying is a sacriledge. You can't dismiss your own ancestors as fools or as crooks. Nimrod was well known as far as Europe. Please read up about him. In the middle East, he was the most iconic character, the old Abraham. Surely a pre Islamic Meccan Monarch may refer to him as an ancestor. The Oduduwa dropped the name as a signature. The way you yourself might say you are a son of Oduduwa to some Europeans. Not a direct father but an ancestor. He obviously mentioned the name because he foresaw that there will be an identity crisis in the future just as we have today. You see, I believe the first Alaafin to be a practising Muslim is the present one. No self respecting people adopts a foreign religion. Doing so is a sign of defeat on all fronts. Islam was known to the Yoruba as far back as the 9th century but it was held at arms length as a matter of national pride. There were always Muslims but a tiny minority and anyone looking to rise in the society would have had to drop the tag as did Alaafin Sango in the 15th century. Islam was never that important to influence narratives. The Yoruba were mainly Yoruba in everything up until the 20th century. Who were the people being influenced by Muslims? Afonja? Aole? Oyabi? Gaha? Ogunmola? All those people lived recently and the idea that they were compromised by Islam can not fly. Do you know that the Ogun character was the one that introduced circumcision that was common in Kemitic Egypt and popularised by the Jews? Ogun Onire was the one that started it. It is only here that you have an account of the origin of circumcision. The Egyptians built the pyramids and we do not know how. The ancestors of the Yoruba were living in cities and under complex organisation before Kemitic Egypt and it appears they spoke thesame language. So what those ancient empires were or what they achieved is something we may never know but to evaluate them according to what now represents them will be inadequate. For example in ten thousand years, the site of today's Lagos may feature a tiny fishing village carrying on some Lagos tradition. It will be wrong to think that village represents what Lagos was in the past. Epidemics can wipe off a civilization to remain a remnant of it and etc. Things are not always the way they appear. I believe Oduduwa was displaced from Mecca by Mohammed himself and that the Awujale arrived before Islam ie before Wadai became a caliphate. The idea that the Awo, a highly conservative institution relied on the Bible and the Quran to formulate stories is highly untenable. If you have any more positions please add them.
So all I posted there fell on deaf ears or is it blind eyes yes?
At least you should have tried to counter my efforts with something I can hold on to. .

Are there any records of an Arabian king claiming ancestry to Nimrod?
Also I think I've made it clear that no single man named "Nimrod" is proved to have ever existed.

Awujale and Oduduwa couldn't have been around when islam was established by Mohammed around the 7th century
No Awo will ever say Lamurudu is the father of Oduduwa.

My dear "oba" is a yoruba word for king. It has bn used since time immemorial and has its origins in ife. Yorubas use oba mostly as a verb and sometimes as a noun. We have individual titles for our obas because we have a strong oriki culture. The obas titles have their orikis. DO NOT REWRITE YORUBA HISTORY!!!! Google is a friend. And pls i do not care who d heck told u ur pack of lies because they are offended by d yorubas version of bini history. We have our receipts - we have ancient orikis, proverbs, dt have bn passed down from generations, and passed down in other yoruba enclaves not in nigeria as well.

You are clearly ignorant of Edo-Yoruba history. Just because Yorubas popularly use 'oba' does not mean it is of Yoruba origin. 'oba' is a bini word and not a Yoruba word. I know this sounds surprising to you to learn this but the word originates from the binis, not Yorubas. True bini people know this. I'm going to invite NigerMan, a proud Eshan man, to school you on this.

I don't know what you mean by 'olu' being a Yoruba word. You have to give the meaning of that word you're referencing. 'olu' as a word exists in several african languages and means different things. In Igbo, 'olu' could mean 'neck', 'voice' or 'riverine people living close to the river/sea'.

Do not think you know it all. You have to keep an open mind to learning things that you don't know or correcting impressions that you thought were probably right before.

Even though those words you claim are Yoruba, I believe they're Bini.
Moreover, Bini and Yoruba lingos based on my observation show an almost 75-85% correspondence.
Igbo is the only lingo of the YEAI family thats totally different from the others.
There are some similar words between Yoruba and other Southern Nigerians aren't present in Bini.
All the YEAI languages share equal portion of similarities, in my opinion
