Very tragic and inhumane, even animals are better off.

O.p you're intentionally trying to bash Christianity. this isn't a Christian thing so you didnt need to involve Christianity here. Abrahamic laws are dead and gone. Name one christian country in which this has happened?? huh?

you brought up a story of Mohammad and how he commanded that two adulterers be stoned to death but failed to relate it with the story of JESUS and the adulterous woman. Christianity doesn't support killing. the bible says THOU SHALL NOT KILL, there were no conditions attached to this.
Its in your bible. . Whether you choose to practice it or not. As long as you profess the same God of the jews to be your god

So conditions? Yet David was a killer, so was Moses who issued that law

The news looks so fake.
This isn't the only case. For as long as Arabs have existed, they punish the victims for the rape on grounds of inciting Sexual desire or something, not raising a loud enough alarm, not having a male guardian with you. ..even the hebrews did same ... sometimes they force the victim to marry the rapist, cus no other man would marry her and the rapist feels like her savior.

This is the wicked people you fools follow as ur masters? People who have no regard for their mothers, sisters and daughters? And fools like you would be agitating for such nonsensical sharia law

Until people come to understand that most likely Eden was another planet n which God planted a garden in and placed Adam inside the garden of planet Eden, they will always make they mistake of putting evolution apart from creation.

Until they realize that Adam(a new spiritual genetic experiment) was expelled from planet Eden and placed on earth when he fell and that earth already had some humans who were mere products of evolution when Adam was forced to live on earth.

That we basically had two groups of pple on earth; children of Adam and children of the earth(evolution) and that over time the two germ lines mixed but the Adamic germline (through Noah) survived the flood while that of the children of evolution were wiped out.

Culture › Re: Honorifics In Igbo? by macof(m): 12:47am On Nov 05, 2015
Crayola1:
Examples in Japanese:

Honorifics used only as suffixes

-san
The most common honorific, and the one most familiar to non-Japanese. Roughly equivalent to most everyday English honorifics, it is generally employed with someone of the same social station as yourself, but can be used any time you need to be generically polite. This is commonly translated and most closely related to the English "Mr." or "Ms." However, it's often dropped entirely in translations, since it's used in contexts where any honorific at all would seem excessively formal in English. (Example: high school students addressing each other with "Mr." or "Ms." would come across as overly formal)
-han
Kansai-ben version of -san. Not used very much if the vowel sound of the last character ends with "i" , "u" or "n".
-sama
A term of great respect, one step higher than -san. In fantasy or historical contexts, it's generally translated as lord/lady or a similar term, but since modern English really has no honorific expressing such extreme deference, Mr. or Ms. usually has to do. In situations where there isn't a massive gap in social status between the speaker and the person being addressed, the use of -sama can border on grovelling. However, it has some standard uses: it's a flattering way for a business.company to address its customers and clients; it's used when addressing letters to friends; and a young woman may playfully use it for a guy she has a massive crush on.

Honorifics also used as regular/standalone words

-senpai/-sempai
Usually translated as "upperclassman" in stories set in high school or college, but it more precisely means "mentor" or "senior", depending on context; it is also used in workplaces, clubs, organizations etc. for employees/members with seniority in relevance to the speaker. Due to differences between romanization systems, it can be spelled in Western languages as either "senpai" {Kunrei} or "sempai" {Hepburn}. (Both spellings are technically correct; the former is a closer transliteration of the Japanese spelling, but the latter better reflects the actual pronunciation.) Senpai/sempai can be attached to the end of someone's name or be used on its own.
-kouhai
The inverse of -senpai/-sempai, meaning someone of a lower class year or lower seniority than the speaker. It's not strictly speaking an honorific since it's not normally attached to a name, and it's considered rude to use to a person's face.
-sensei
Literally means "one who has come before". Usually heard in English referring to martial arts masters. Also applies to doctors, teachers, and masters of any profession or art. It is also standard for professional writers who are classed as teachers. In short, the rule of thumb runs thus: doctors, teachers, lawyers, writers and scientists who got their doctorates are called "sensei" automatically; with the others it's debatable. In recent years this has become an all-purpose suck-up word, and is now more often used sarcastically than as a genuinely respectful term. This has brought complaints of Dude, Where's My Respect? from real masters and artists. Those who routinely read the liner notes of manga will notice that this is still used as a term of respect for - and between - prominent manga artists (e.g. "Akamatsu-sensei" for Ken Akamatsu).

He did not mistake anything in my opinion. There were several states when Oduduwa arrived. Some were so established that they did not take a new prince from the new dynasty in Ife, some retreated into the hills and established new identities named after ancient empires. This is more common in Ondo and Ekiti. Ijebu and Owu married princesses from Ife. Patrilineally, the Awujale should be taken as descended from an ancient Sudanese royal family in Wadai just as the story is passed down.
How exactly does sudan fit into all this? make me understand that

btw Nobody retreated from Oduduwa except the Ilaje(this is even disputed as some consider the event to have begun much after Oduduwa's reign), and no yoruba settlement is known to be named after any Empire

also the Awujale is known all over Yorubaland to be a son of Oduduwa

lawani:
According to Yoruba account, all human beings emanated from the first spot on Earth where land rose above the waters and started to expand. That spot is called Ife or Ufe meaning expansion. That spot might be anywhere in the world for all we know. There probably have been very many Ifes. What the Awujale meant is that his dynasty did not emanate from the present Ife in Osun state established by the Meccan, Oduduwa and this is right. Ijebu Eredo was a contemporary if not greater than the Ife in Osun state. Owu is another dynasty that did not emanate from the new Ife but they both formed alliance. The long and short of it is that Ijebu which is a center for Ifa studies can not claim to not be from Ife but they can claim to have an identity that predates Oduduwa who arrived recently. The Oyo, Benin, Ijesha and etc can not make any such claim. However all human beings according to Yoruba thought are descended from the series of ancient Ifes that declined.
"That Ife could be anywhere in the world". .. Interesting

Awujale really missed a big point. .He must have mistaken the "Owodaiye" in Ife Owodaiye for Waddai. But "Ife Owodaiye" isn't peculiar to the Ijebu. All yoruba relate with that

I'm still not understanding why the absence of 'MKP-' and similar formations in Yoruba makes it the original language. We have already demonstrated that this is a very widespread and ancient feature in Bantu and some Eastern Nigerian Languages (Igbo, Ibibio, etc). Why would the absence of this ancient feature in Yoruba make it the original language? It doesn't make philological sense.

In fact, from the point of view of phonetic complexity, I can make the argument that Igbo is a more ancient language than Yoruba. Linguists know that ancient languages have a greater deal of phonetic complexity than 'younger' languages which often show signs of having been simplified.
In one of your previous posts u were talking about the absence of "kp" in yoruba. Well, "kp" exists as "P" in writing. Anyone that reads yoruba knows that you pronounce "p" as "Kp".

But I do agree that Igbo is older than the mainstream yoruba dialect.... western yoruba dialects are also considered less complex than the eastern, probably cus of the greater exposure to the Oyo dialect

Give him another local DOP and see if Kunle is worth all the praises his kinsmen showers on him. Kunle should thank Peace Anyiam Osigwe for giving him the platform of AMAA as a pedestal to limelight. Trust me, if Kunle walks the street of Onitsha, Aba, Enugu or any where outside yoruba land, not even one person will recognise him as a celebrity. Hmm, hmmm, hmmmmm, i don't even know what to say, because i'm fed up with everything. I feel so powerless, frustrated and forsaken everytime i wake up in the morning, my life is stagnant, no progress whatsoever despite my strive, effort to make it in life.

When i couldn't secure a job after service for two years, i swallowed my pride and turned myself to a printing apprentice at the age of thirty, but getting a space and works has been so difficult after graduating from this few months ago.

I've visited some pastors and alfas and they all asked me to bring some money for deliverance and freedom from satanic bondage, because they would have to invite some prayer warriors as they can't do it alone, the least they asked me is 14k and the highest is 75k, where on earth do they expect me to get that kind of money, and this sometimes, makes me ask myself whether true men of God still exist in this country.

Although, someone told me to go to Ori-Oke Baba Abiye in Ede, Osun State, but i'm so tired of visiting all these so called pastors and alfas (God forgive me).

I do see some signs in my life which makes me believe that i really need deliverance for me to have a breakthrough in my life. If you know any true man/woman of God, pls help me i beg, as the year is gradually coming to an end, and may God bless you as you do so, thanks a lot.

Christianity is NOT white culture or at least was not always. The whites also had their "pagan"/ traditional religions before Christianity was adopted some 1,700 years ago.
It is a religion from the Middle East, same as Islam that also recognises Jesus as Prophet Isa, not so huh

When we are able to SEPARATE our culture from its obnoxious religious overtones, we should make better progress by opening up our minds to seek more knowledge and enable our culture to be appreciate more by ourselves and others.
You are NOT bright. If you knew the history of ur religion you will realize that Europe traditions are very much involved in christianity. From the crucifix, to virgin mother belief, to hell, trinity etc
Even in the middle-east christianity isn't taken seriously or makes any sense to them.
