You are the one saying your area is subjugated by the binis, my post is not referring to any such thing.

I simply made reference to your erroneous impression the coastline had nobody there.
You are always saying nonsense like this one here again. simply answer my question

People relocated inwards sometimes due to security concerns vis a vis incessant slave raiding by the portuguese and their native local agents.

So its incorrect to say somewhere was without settlers.
Pls mention the group of people with any form of organized national identity at the coastline (bight of Bini) who were subjugated by the Binis

Hypocrisy is someone have two different opinion.
Just like your friend MrSanity who hate gay but has a topic about him having threeesome with lesbians.

That's Hypocrisy!!!

Homosexuality is not a new thing in Africa but as far as I know we have always kicked against it.

Polygamy is however allowed, there are rules to polygamy that when instituted by a real Man capable of keeping a family, there would be peace and understanding

Lagos is Yorubaland. Enough of this nonsense from my fellow Igbos. If Nigeria was to divide, Lagos would go to the Yorubas so why bother in claiming a land that is not our own?

We have Enugu, Aba, Onitsha, Umuahia, Owerri and other cities in the East that can all be great because of Igbo ingenuity.
Very good. .. tell them let them hear

They did house to house count, or some random Yoruba people there sat down and concocted rubbish figures to massage the ego's of their kinsmen?

Never in the history of Nigeria has Yorubas been more populous than Ndiigbo, not in the past, and certainly not in the present.

Thanks.
When I first saw you debunk the op I thought you did well cus Hausas are still more than yoruba
But this here. ..claiming yoruba are not more than iigbo is pure ignorance
Politics › Re: We Regret Voting Buhari – South West Leaders by macof(m): 3:11pm On Jun 29, 2015
Fake news. What stupid SW leaders? Where are the names?
What's in not having a yoruba in top positions? What did yoruba get during GEJ's time? Not one federal project
At least there's Osinbajo and a Yoruba/Fulani Saraki

What's most important is what they have to offer not their positions

the bini empire did reach the present benin republic, and through migration went as far as togo and ghana.
Well, The areas were coastline areas without settlers. The coastline colonies were just used for ease of sea transportation and trade from Kumasi to Bini city
Oyo was the one that held the mainlands inhabited by the Fon of Dahomey up till the Ewe along the Volta river of Ghana

When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites.

They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country!

But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria.

Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT!
You jobless lot keep saying oil from igboland. There's oil in Yorubaland as well and most of the nation's oil is from the Niger Delta

Illiterate fools like you always evade this fact

I really wonder when people say 30 days in Atlanta is a "over hyped" movie.

Truth be told, the kind people to enjoy that movie are those who once stayed in Warri (probably living in other parts of the world now).

The movie brings back so much memories (the slangs, the acts, the busy body and a host of others).

That movie is GOOD.

Same fate falls on the shoulder of "October 1"....another perfectly played script.

Congrats to Ayo.
October 1 remains one of naija's best

But not that Lagos originated from the British.

Just that you are indirectly trying to portray that the Yoruba originated from Edo using names as the basis for that. And yes, the Edo has ruled Lagos before. That's a different thing.
Wats all this? Is it not the Lagos I know and grew up in?
Edo descendants are present among the Awori (these lineages have become Awori themselves) doesn't mean Edo ruled lagos

some yorubas actually hold that he came down from the sky as a God with 401 dieties.
Actually you are mixing things. .. this Oduduwa is not same as the oduduwa that became king
The king came with 400 people not dieties

The oduduwa that came from heaven came to set the formation of the world, brought existence to this part of the universe. ....this bit is cosmology not history

401 deities are what we worship in Yorubaland but it has nothing to do with the Olufe's coming

I am not saying that African religion is bad... No I am a free thinker but what is bad is the act of killing human to make sacrifice that's all

I am an igbo man and we have term for God and its chukwu so if you do the normal thing in any religion is OK

I will not condemn any religion cos its only God that knows true worshippers
That was back when human sacrifice was not immoral or do they still do that in your village?
We can't keep using our modern morality to judge the activities of old...to them it was not that bad

No spiritual cult or religion is free from human sacrifice

When one basks in a particular theory for too long, he begins to believe it is the all and all truth. Have you ever bothered to ask yourself when the Ife civilization even began to exist and equally relate it to the beginning of man? Have you ever thought to deal with numbers?

It takes half-truth to be passed around and around until it begins to sound like the truth to everyone. The Ife folklore is one that leaves so much to be desired. Over the years, it has been packaged and passed down from generation to generation that it has begun to sound as truth to the gullible. Did you even know that Ife came into existence during the 12th (1101 to 1200) century? Did you know that the world had long existed before then? Did you know that the earth was way populated and that millions of human beings were already existing in Europe, Africa, Asia etc.? Did you know that other civilizations had long existed before Ife even did? Did you know that the black moors of North Africa crossed into Europe in the 6th century (year 711) during which civilization was taken to Europe? Did you know that the Egyptian civilization existed in Egypt way back to as early as 3000BC, that is 4200 years before Ife came into existence? Did you know that the Nri civilization is older than Ife and came into existence at about the 9th century, or 300 years before Ife did?

Ife folklore would want to have you believe that they are the cradle of civilization and how humanity started when some man fell from the sky, yet the world has been long in existence before they came into existence. Furthermore, science has proven that no man is able to fall from the sky, thus punching the Ife folklore to an extent. How can a full-grown man supposedly fall from the sky? Where is he falling from? Who pushed him down? Why wasn't the Ife folklore able to give answers to these questions the same time the man falling from the sky folklore was formulated? We have come to the age of reasoning whereby certain questions need to be asked. You don't just swallow certain things hook line and sinker just because you were told.
Rants of an ignorant fellow. Did you not see where the man said the old Ife was at another location and this one is only a successor?
OH and Ife is not 12 century. .it had 90kings before Oduduwa
