This thread reminds me of Ekiti Igbomina Parapo. The group was formed to counter the aggressions from the Ibadan warriors and the Nupes.

That is why in a state like Kwara where you have the two subethnic groups fast becoming one. Example: Senator Simeon Ajibola - PDP Governorship candidate in the state.
yeah! Ekiti did collaborate with her neighbors a lot.

Lol,am not on nairaland to please anyone. I saw you defensive and spiteful responses to her claming she knows nothing about yoruba. I mentioned it was a familiar habit of yours, where you free to garivant on non yoruba issues which you know nothing about. And the moment someone talks about your culture, she or he is labelled a dunce. Just like you sleep on Igbo threads, let Igbos also sleep on this one without calling them ignorant.
Igbo is world history, yes! But i far as i know you've only been a troll on igbo threads, contributing more confusion than solution.
pls we have aaddressed this... move on if you have something else to say rather than going in circles

the person you are defending already admitted her ignorance and lack of interest on yoruba matters. .. whereas I have much interest in Igbo matters
as to me being a troll,I can only say you don't know far enough

You are no authority on Igbo history, think twice before jumping all over igbo threads with your baseless judgements and disapproval on what does not concern you or your history. That's all. Like i said, hebrew stuff is for another thread. Nevertheless, hebrew or no hebrew, censor your comments if you have to contribute to stuffs that are not related to you. I have seen you force some ignorant opinions on Igbos, don't understand why you should become defensive when others do the same on your history?
And who are you to dismiss ugbo-igbo oral history so abruptly without academic back ups? There is always a dash of truth in everything,it's left for you to seek for truth without adding your tribal sentiments.
did I ever tell you anything like igbo came from here or there to suggest me claiming an authority, it's you claiming an authority on Igbo and yoruba. .I asked simply for proof of your claims if you can't then you have nothing to say
Igbo history is part of world History, everybody can ask questions and contribute, if you were not aware be so now
you were the one that brought up hebrews here, the person you were even quoting showed little interest in what you were talking about

grin grin grin pls don't insult yourself with the bold again
I should be asking you to provide academic backup for such claims
but that would be a waste of time, as the very Ugbo people are known today as the Ilaje
I'd like to see you prove that the Ilaje aren't the Ugbos bt the Igbo of SE Nigeria are

Hebrew or eurasian whatever is for another thread. Why would an adult like me be afraid of facing you directly? Lol.
It's absurd how you go running your mouth abi fingers on numerous igbo threads writing what you have no idea about. Yet when an Igbo contributes a word on Yoruba threads, you come out with your long fangs, claiming they know nothing about Yoruba.
Just learn to respect people's thread especially when it's connected to their oral tales. Just like you have dismissed Igbo-ugbo-yoruba tales,it would be better if you stick to your history and solve its mystery. Igbos will equally solve theirs,as technology and genetics advances.
Oh I have full idea what am writing about, it's very simple really. .you're trying to propagate a claim, I want to learn I ask for proof you have none you flare up you act like your fellow igbos haven't kicked your hebrew claim right out in your face
Oh so now hebrew origin is recorded in Igbo oral tales? this is new

why should anybody say things like Ugbo are igbo or Ijebu-Igbo are Igbo or Egba are igbo and you expect me not to correct such shameful blunder. ..again your comparison doesn't relate with me

why don't you face me directly? ever since I asked for proof to ur ridiculous claims you've been hating on me grin is such proof of the name of the geneticis that discovered Euriasian gene in Yoruba so hard to furnish? btw you keep saying I know nothing of the Igbo Apparently I know better than you - who claims Hebrew origin of the Igbo without evidence or any sort of compelling proof just wishful thinking

It is sensible to see the context of my original post and deduce that in the phrase "It must have been controlled by a prime-mover, and for me that's God", God is being used as a proper noun to name supreme deity that was a prime mover or creator.

The next question might then be "Who is this God you speak of?" (Then I'll tell you other things to help you identify this being) or "What is your religion / worldview?" (Which macof knew very well but he was clearly being mischievous), rather than the obtuse "Which God?" (Followed by allegations of delusion when their logic fails), because God as used in that context has only one meaning: creator.

Whatever worldview supports the idea of God as used there is secondary; in my usage God meant "creator". Surely that's clear to any objective mind.
Yet to a Christian this "God" is Jehova father of Jesus who is also himself
to a Muslim this "God" is very different

so when you uuse the word "god" try to make it clear by which of the numerous Gods is the prime mover
Allah? Jehova? Brahman? they are so many
you don't have to force the word into a proper noun. . its nt
try takin nouns like Allah, Jehova, Olodumare as proper nouns

Oh now I'm "little one" because we don't agree? I see your brand of condescension is gradually surfacing.

God is NOT a title when it is used as a proper noun. macof is a proper noun. InesQor is a proper noun. Nairaland is a proper noun. Nigeria is a proper noun. Read more about proper nouns here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proper_noun

A more appropriate question you could have been asking in this context of a proper noun is "Who is God?" and not "Which God"? undecided
lmao gringrin you are a little one because you don't understand this basic logic. .. anyway you are free to let your pastor decree what God is
doesn't stop a Muslim from having a different God

Okay, there are so many... what? So many God?

Edit: I didn't say "my God" or "my god" or "a god" or "god". I said "God", and it's a proper noun that has one meaning.
Just like saying "I was talking to macof" and you ask me "Which one?" as if macof isn't a proper noun in the Nairaland context.
Oh! little one you don't understand a thing

God is nt a name lik macof.. its a title
macof can be given a title by his people, goosebaba given the same title by his people and we both bare the same title
say the title is "Eze"
macof is Eze (the only Eze to his people)
goosyb is Eze to his own people too

now is there only one Eze?

ROSSIKE:
Hahaha.... Kai... My people. ''Pharaoh'' is not the name of anyone who ever existed. ''Pharaoh'' was a title given to a king of Egypt, just like ''Oba'' is a title for a Yoruba king. Egypt had hundreds of Pharaohs in a long line of dynastic, monarchical kingship spanning thousands of years. Each Pharaoh had a name, eg Pharaoh Akhenaton, Pharaoh Tutunkhamun, Pharaoh Rameses, Khufu, Thutmose, Sneferu, Djekafre Isesi, Menkaure, Neferefre, Bakare etc etc (Note the African names - Egypt was a black African empire for thousands of years prior to foreign invasions). The bible to my knowledge doesn't actually mention any Pharaoh by name, simply saying ''the Pharaoh'' did this or said that.. So saying ''King Pharaoh'' did this or that is an admission of comical illiteracy regarding what one is talking about.
I've been looking into the account of the plagues of egypt recently and I realized most actually happened but over a long time - many generations but probably somehow the jews heard of this and decided to bank on it by putting their God into the equation

To clarify, evolution does not claim there's a need for a designer. Neither does it claim there is no need for one.

What I do know is that it acknowledges that evolution works in a way such that it "betters" the product. To me, that can't be a random process. It must have been controlled by a prime-mover, and for me that's God.
Which God?
