Ihuomadinihu: Truth be told some tribes in Sub-saharan Africa claim to come from the North. It's easy to term it reverse migration....
Am not familiar with origin of Ekoid tribes but they claim they migrated to Nigeria from Egypt. It's important to let people search for their origins without undue pressure from an opposing school of thought.
Ekoid?? a people found in cross river area??
Wat "Egypt" do they have in their culture? Language? Or oral history?

EMILO2STAY: more than 500 yrs of living in the bush should have produced some speciation traits in these people if evolution is true. The sentineles people of andaman island india have been isolated from civilzation for about 60,000 years but still show no signs of evolution.

as for the eve matter, we have the europeans, chineess. whom most of them are products of interbreeding living among us today. So ur statement is not true.
A population in isolation from others over a long period like 500 yrs tend to have gotten different in factors like phycology, culture(food, cloths or lack of it), language, immunity to certain diseases, prone to other diseases all this evolutionary changes to adapt to their new environment, this creates a different identity known as clans or tribes although this isn't exactly biological but socio-scientific

However 500yrs is not enough to create an identity of "specie", 500 isn't even enough to create an identity of Ethnic group
So when we talk Macro evolution be reasonable enough to not expect such in 500yrs

can u proof the bold?
1. The period they have been away from other people
2. That they have undergone no changes
If u can't I take it that you are lying

MrAnony1: No it isn't so. a person who believes in the sacrifice of Christ but who still continues in unrepentant sin afterwards will go to hell for his/her sin. Again this clearly demonstrates that it is sin that brings condemnation.

I think I have made the distinction very clear now. If you feel that it is not sin (immoral actions) that condemns a person, then please carry on with your belief just know that it isn't what Christianity teaches at all.

For God does not show favoritism. All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts sometimes accusing them and at other times even defending them.) This will take place on the day when God judges people’s secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares. - Romans 2:11-16
You are making absolutely no sense with all this ur contradictions
Just choose 1

1. Jesus is the gateway to the Christian afterlife, moral or not, belief in Jesus is all that matters
2. Morality is all that matters, not belief
3. Both, believe in the myths of Jesus and remain moral at all times

majorgr: If u culd research deeply, at the end of everything in the deep sea, God sent an angel to remove Pharoah from the see so he culd finally get to see His miraculous power and wonder at it. Pharoah at the end of everything believed God and worshipped Him. That's why the Bible said for unto this purpose you hav been risen to see d miraculous power of God. Yes he was jst an instrument whom God used to show forth His wonders, but at the end of it all, God had mercy on him and delivered him from death.
No pharaoh ever worshipped a foreign God, not even the Ptolemaic dynasty
The,most that happened was syncretism like wat the Nubian pharaohs did when they ruled Egypt

The Jews set foot in Babylon, Persia, Philistia, Phoenicia etc why didn't they claim the places since Yahweh has supposedly given them at the moment they set foot in it? grin

And btw ur post doesn't answer my question...I asked where in the Bible did Hebrews have the lands Yahweh promised

this land is from Sinai peninsula (modern Egypt) to Halabiye in eastern Syria

omonuan: You are wrong too. In the south south, the Igbo are the number one group. Forget the propaganda. Igbo is the only tribe native to all the Niger delta states and are dominant in Rivers and Delta states. Starting from Igbanke, Inyele, Ekpon in Edo state to the nine Anioma Local government areas in Delta to Ndoni, Ahoada, Ogba and Ikwerre people in Rivers, the Igbo predominate. I am a Niger Delta Igbo and proud of it!

The Efik/Ibibio/Anang/oron may be next before the Ijaws who have some how succeeded in making people think the Niger Delta is synonymous with Ijaw.
wats thishuh Igbo aren't dominant in delta or rivers.

pazienza: Who gives a dead rat about the stupid articles you read? The fact on ground remains that the Andoni is a distinct group, with a language close to what is obtainable in Akwa ibom, with few Igbo words and little or no Ijaw words. Andonis are no Ijaws. *grins*

On the Opobo issue, there are "hundreds" of thread about that here, look for one of them, and knock yourself out.
Thanks.
what fact?? While I've never heard Andoni language, You the only person saying this here, why should I take your word for it?

omonuan: The dominant language in Opobo and parts of Bonny is Igbo not Ijaw. When a conference to form the Union Igbo was held, Bonny people were invited but Asaba people were not. Bonny Igbo dialect is part of the Union Igbo. Andoni does have a few Igbo words just like Urhobo/Isoko.

All the southern tribes are kind of related. Even Okrika and Kalabari borrowed a lot of Igbo words.
True, all southern tribes are related..the more reason for some similar words

Not according to every article I've read about Andoni, they have, absolutely nothing to do with Igbo as far as I know.
They are ijaw.

although the OP is just trying to force things that don't apply, I see he considers the Bible not so literal.

Science never professed there's no power that created and sustains the universe, Infact it keeps showing there is.

The conflicts between religion and science is that the religious mind never questions his religion, believing in these religious tales as they come without any proof or logic

You don't identify a name with religion but the culture the name is known

And since when has the belief in a creator force aka supreme being become strictly Christianhuh

ibnquasale: Obviously, science is not only compatible with spirituality; it is a profound source of spirituality and the notion that science and spirituality are somehow mutually exclusive does a disservice to both.

People should just understand that GOD is the creator of all, including science!
When you say God if you are thinking of the God of a particular religion then you are greatly mistaken.

Oluwaseun, modupe are Yoruba names, anybody of Yoruba speaking parents can have these name regardless your religion.

God is a personification, a symbolic concept that represents different aspect of our reality, this is what ancient spiritualities did before Abrahamic religions hijacked it and now you have people talking of God as if that God actually exists the way it is represented

Religion's problem is that it forces you to believe in it's dogmas hence it's adherents don't see the symbolism

If I only spend an hour trying to learn phrases from Bantu regions, I would see a lot of Yoruba-Bantu links.
There are links between all sub-Saharan Africans, stretching towards the Sahel and Nile valley
But than doesn't mean we must bring up ridiculous propagandas to attach to other ethnic groups by force.

TonySpike: Sir, the truth is that some people will not buy the idea of your research on this forum. This is very obvious and you don't have to go to and fro with them. The person you responded to, if I remember very well, resisted these ideas of Igbo interactions with Bantus in ancient times on another old thread. The truth is that most parts of Africa, except the Egyptian/Sudan/Ethiopia axis, were mostly uninhabited about 3000 years ago. People came from somewhere, interacted and migrated as they travelled inward Africa. This has led to substantial and dramatic changes in African languages, even though some similarities still exist. Religion and some cultural practices, however, did change as much as the languages over these years. Hence, these clues are still present. I personally know that Africa got populated from three major genetic pools: Nilotes, Ethiopian and Khoisans. So, it is very valid to say that population migration was a norm in classical Africa.
What evidence do u have that people came into sub-saharan Africa from Ethiopia/Sudan/Egypt??

Every single human migration theory (that isn't based on Jewish scriptures) that is held as a fact speaks of an Out of Africa migration, not into Africa migration

I admit sub-Saharan Africa has relations with Egypt/Sudan..like..
DNA of the early dynastic kings of Egypt match with sub-Saharan Africans, West Africans especially.
The sub-Saharan cultures are seen in the early times of the nile valley eg. Divine kingship, burying a slave with the king to assist in the journey to the afterlife, keeping the king's body parts preserved(you should know Ife, Bini, itsekiri are known for this, especially with the head) etc
cognitive words

But west Africa has been inhabited for 11,000 years at least(going by available evidence) which is long before any northern African land

every logic points Sub-Saharan Africa as the origin of black population of northern Africa, blacks didn't go South they went North
