1shortblackboy: glorious to who ? Is the child's life not different from d parents life ? Will d child find it glorious wen he grows up? Shouldn't the child be allowed to grow up and decide whether he wants his face scarred or not ?
What's your problem with it? Are u the child? Or do ur family hold any reason to pass markings on your children??

if not you only being a complete busy body because it has absolutely nothing to do with you. If you want to be an infant advocate you should preach against infant baptism, circumcision, enrolment in school, naming etc since these are all done without the child's decision.

Btw all you making it a Yoruba thing are so foolish. It's of cultural importance All over Northern and central Nigeria, many African tribes practice this too
even Japanese have face markings

your ignorance and hatred for Yoruba is so annoying
These markings are important to those who give their children, it's religious, cultural, historical and even used to treat infants from certain disease.

naijaspeak: May the soul of the late traditional ruler of Ikorodu, rest in peace, in Jesus name, Amen.

Why are there too many traditional ruler in Lagos? I have observe that areas in lagos like, Ikeja, Ikorodu, Mushin, Surulere, Badagri etc all have their own tradition ruler not forgeting the oba of lagos.

In some parts of Nigeria, the culture is different.
Ikr. So many Obas in Lagos
In fact so many in Yorubaland, so unnecessary

And how does this affect you in ur Igbo enclave? Markings are glorious and important to those who give their children.

The reasonable ones know Hell and heaven don't exist but if am to choose it would be heaven.

I can always dethrone Jehovah after learning the ways Lucifer failed and improve my strategy
Christianity Etc › Re: Africans Will Make Heaven More Than The Whiltes. by macof(m): 10:42am On Aug 05, 2014
Joshthefirst: religion has nothing to do with salvation. And salvation is by faith. I never said not doing sin is the way to heaven. You are already full of sin. You're already guilty, even if you don't sin anymore for the rest of your life, which is frankly impossible, you're condemned already because of the sins you've already commited. Good does not wipe away bad. No amount of good water will cleanse a bad fountain.

Your only hope is trust in Christ's salvation, as he has borne your punishment and redeemed you. Christ is not common to any particular religion or the source of any religion for pete's sake. He's the saviour of all. Through him you can change your nature(the source of the fountain), and become a new man.

But if you reject him, you reject salvation, and the only hope of man.

Accept him today.
grin see this confused one.

"christ is the only way, you must accept Christ as your lord and saviour to gain salvation
Yet christianity has nothing to do with salvation" grin

He tries so hard to force his Jesus on people that he makes a total fool of himself

Naima00: I did not lie about anything, simply asked you a question. Live and let live was my whole point. As a Somali who chooses to believe in Allah I didn't appreciate your comment. I know what is best for me and that is that.
No you don't know wat is best for you, this is just a woman.killed for being free by Islam, many unjust acts done in the name of Allah for lies.
The religion of the ancestors is best for anyone not just you or Somalis but the entire Africa.

Islam and christianity are evil
Christianity Etc › Re: Africans Will Make Heaven More Than The Whiltes. by macof(m): 10:34am On Aug 05, 2014
frank317: how can you say their choice is bad when they believe in it. they dont hurt anyone doing it neither do they go around preaching that its right to do evil. the only reason you call their choice bad is because they dont preach or accept Jesus.
like christianity, islam preaches against fornication and sin generally. how then can you say they are bad because they dong believe in Jesus? why dont you believe that Mohammed is the messenger of God? How do you feel when they say your own choice is bad?
Exactly! It is hatred.
Josh and Anony like many other Christians are only filled with hatred for people who don't share their delusions
Christianity Etc › Re: Africans Will Make Heaven More Than The Whiltes. by macof(m): 10:32am On Aug 05, 2014
Joshthefirst: sorry. Hell is for sinners. Religious/irreligious alike. So you're going to hell. Unless you embrace the solution to sin: Jesus Christ.

Until then, you're hell bound. Evil must be punished. The wages of sin is death.

I'm not trying to scare you. I'm only trying to educate you and give you the real picture of the situation you are in. For you are blind. smiley
grin grin the real picture you say? The picture you have seen or merely read about in a judio-roman book

striktlymi: Almost all of them. I know for certain that he is not Obatala. Olorun or one of his other manifestations would have been more appropriate. He is known by very many names in diverse cultures all in accordance with their perception of him.

Whether He is called, Yahweh, Olorun, Allah, 'The Unknown God' etc it matters not really because all still refers to the same reality responsible for existence.
I don't know who gave you rights to put Yahweh in the same category as Olorun
You not even Yoruba so pls refrain from using Yoruba gods to push ur Christian propaganda.
You know absolutely nothing about Yoruba spirituality so jst shut up

anonymous6: True, I feel the Muslim religion particularly has a more "Eye for a Eye" mentality more then Christianity. Lets Thank God culture doesn't revolve over those rules
True! All around the world we can see muslims are much more aggressive...fully devoted ones at that

Again it is only Africa that people frown at their own culture because a foreign religion dictates to do so
Why won't North Africa loose its "Africanness" when Islam is the first order of the day

otipoju: I spent my NYSC year in Kano- it is what I saw with my own eyes at a football viewing center in the village of Minjibir during a CAF champions leauge match between a North African Club and a Nigerian Clubside.

When I noticed that I was the odd one out. I just kept quiet.

I am not denying anybody the right to support whoever, and I am not judging anybody, - I just stated my conclusion based on my primary observation.

For better emphasis, why would a group of people not be pertubed about the bombings of their countrymen but be gravely worried to the extent of peacefully protesting on the streets in support of a people far away in Gaza.

Let's not look for what is not missing... The ties of Religion is the unifying factor.
anonymous6: well I don't know cause I never heard of this of what Otipoju had mentioned but I have noticed that in some black african counties who are predominantly Muslim, tend to favor their religion over their culture, look at Sudan, Mali, Chad and Niger
I feel this is as a result of the mind controlling power of religion and the fear that comes with it.
culture certainly has no "disobey and suffer" conditions so it has less mental grip on people

[NLT] James 1:17 Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.

Did u just say North Africa is more advanced?? Wat rubbish angry that useless desert region undecided

The only thing pure African and black about North Africa was Nubia and some parts of Egypt, now Egypt and Sudan like other North African countries are nothing but Arab shiit holes.
I pity for the few remaining true black Africans in body and consciousness

Gombs: Well some folks say God did... but did He?
the bible recorded that all God created was good, everything He did was good. Who then created the devil?

Lucifer created the devil out of himself. just as God created every human being good, but He cant be responsible for how some folks turn out, eg He is NOT responsible for the Suicide bombers, Killers, thieves etc.
He's not responsible for killers and terrorist but is God responsible for the good citizen, the righteous pastor, the life saver and public hero?
Christianity Etc › Re: Who Created The Devil? by macof(m): 4:36pm On Aug 04, 2014
striktlymi: Everything in existence has its being in God whether directly or indirectly. Without God there will be nothing like good or bad deeds. If God does not exist, evil cannot exist. This is not saying that God is responsible for evil.

The ability to do wrong is a direct consequence of freewill. Without freewill, no one can do wrong. Freewill is good in itself and as such God did right to have granted us the freedom to choose but that freedom begets evil.
Lol ur god isn't responsible for evil ehn?? But he is responsible for good grin grin

Culture › Re: Did West Africans Develop Cast Iron In Pre-colonial Times? by macof(m): 3:37pm On Aug 04, 2014
emenik08: My TAKE ON THE TOPIC.
The possibity that west african had been producing cast iron is there bt mainly for agricultural n sculptural purposes. I think d idea of guns came after the europeans taught us about gun powder.
Reason is that anybody that can melt iron ore n purify it a bit will definitely be able to get to cast iron. The word 'cast iron' is just iron that can be easily cast into moulds. This is because of its fluidity (ability to flow into d intricacies of d mould). Cast iron contains largest quantity of carbon in any known alloy of iron which is why it flows easily compared to other alloys like steel. Carbon easily enters iron through the fuels(charcoal, coke etc) used in melting the iron ore.
Iron ore>pig iron>cast iron>steel
the 'greater than sign' signifies futher purification.

Lastly anybdy using bare hands to handle a temperature of 1000-1200degrees celcius(handling temp for wrought iron) must be using juju or be an iron man.
I doubt Africans gained knowledge of gun powder from Europeans, Maybe Arabs but not Europeans.
Btw The fon people in West Africa are said to have had women soldiers wielding weapons with gun power long before European contact

What else do these bullies and cowards who only come out to operate under the cover of darkness use it for?

Thats what the literature i read had to say about black magic, with them wondering how black people harness this shit'e with no regards for karma. So if witches are good to you, it is because you are one of them so y'all are closing ranks.
wrong! God the creator(Olodumare) is everything and he can't use himself aimlessly and stupidly like the fictional abomination called Jehovah

The dark energy is pure energy, the strongest of all forms in the known universe...it's responsible for all matter. This is what Yoruba call oduduwa that you ignorantly called "effigy"

Paganism huh, hmmm, in summary y'all believe in a cold and aloof Eledumare who does not relate to common human beings like you, but instead utilise 401 orishas to act as intermediary and you people are blood thirsty savages, always spilling blood. And according to Folykaze, the reason you exist is to worship money shocked What a sad, empty, unfulfiling life.
More dumb talk by someone running her mouth since.

Paganism is simply the default way of life of a people. it's culture, traditions, language and spirituality all revolving around the people.
