Johnnoo: The Gospel of Jesus Christ has reach there but the people have rejected the word of God!!!
No the people rejected the word of Jewish and Roman men not the word of God.
The true word of God is not written in books but in our hearts so stop ur rubbish Jewish shiit licking

mickyarams: Comments like this only highlights the sheer ignorance and inability of most Nigerians to engage in a grown up discussion without bringing meaningless comparison into it. So because bokoharam are causing chaos in our country, you silly tw@t think it's okay for other religions yo put restrictions on our lives, and you wonder why Africa is in its sorry state. Other continents are sending men to the moon, coming up with new technological innovations that amazes everyone, my own people are dancing around in masquerades and threatening their fellow citizens.
Maybe if you spend this much time attacking churches and mosques for wasting our time you could be taken seriously.

Japan with all it's home grown technological advancement is very much attached to it's ancestral cultures so is China.
So you have no case

haibe: of course I will give ceasar wat belongs to him because this myopic practice hasn't been scrapped. The president is the head of Nigeria, and therefore has the power to make positive changes. Practices like this poses a threat to the life of citizens that reside in this areas and therefore should be made a criminal offence since everyone has a right to life. This is where the boko haram bombings is different since its obviously criminal offence but this oro bulshit is seen as normal.

Why should the death of one man restrict the movement of thousands of people who have important things to do? why should it lead to the death of people or cause unnecessary fear? Nigeria shouldn't be this backward in this 21st century; rituals of this nature should be made a criminal offence. If they want to appoint another oba, they will do the same practice of oro again and use the lives of innocent people as sacrifice, why should things like this be supported? What if it happens that one of our relatives are killed for the sake of an oba? or because boko haram is killing, it then justifies killings by other sects?

Well let everyone practice what they believe but without interfering with the law of the nation by taking lives or causing unnecessary restrictions to citizens. Do you know how many people would lose their jobs because they reside in ikorodu? Argh! !!
The ikorodu people aren't complaining. It's their right to practice their culture.
If you don't like it pls pls pls return to ur village

haibe: your reasoning is extremely low. What kind of culture is it that restricts movements of innocent individuals or pose a threat to kill or use them as sacrifice? in this 21st century? Shouldn't we be wiser than all this now? It's people like you that will never make positive changes when in authority even though it's clear some pratices should be scrapped
It is the Yoruba culture, if you don't like it go back to ur culture-less village

Afrocatalyst: Oga, this is Lagos. Forget that culture you're talking about. Go to your village and practise that!
I understand the importance of culture but not at the expense of those who don't belong with you!
Yes this is Lagos - ikorodu is a home town to many lagosians. They are in their village already, it's you who should go to your village and leave them alone

You don't belong here, respect the culture of the place you find yourself, if you don't like it run to ur village

mazaje: He wants to eat his cake and have it. . .Joshthefist doesn't want to accept that his religion condemns people of other religions to hell just for being a part of their religion and not his, he says doing bad thing is what takes people to hell , when asked if muslims, hindus, ATR, taoist etc that do believe in god and also do a lot of good will go to heaven he says Jesus is the only way to heaven. . how confused can one be?. . .The bible has already made it clear he that does not believe in the message of the cross is condemned already so i don't know what he is on about. . . His conscience pricks him about it being a foolish standard and reason to throw people in hell for all eternity but some how he tries to dance round it because he is emotionally attached to his beliefs. . .I keep on saying it these guys are only emotionally attached to their beliefs not because it makes sense to them but because they are so emotionally attached to it, that's why they keep throwing all excuses and explanations even when it doesn't make any sense to them. . .
This is just wat it is

This is quite IMPRESSIVE!
Truly impressive.
You noticed that the article implied that the iron work is better than that of Europe.

It's a pity the Tanzanian people have refused to build up on this an make a Mark in iron casting

Oh! Africa how we have fallen since we forgot the Great works of our brilliant ancestors

What is medicine?

Can you measure faith.? Or can you measure medicine?

Abeg answer directly no begin speak in parables..
What Christians don't know is that they don't have faith.rather Hope.
Hope is their motivator, no single Christian on earth have I seen wit faith, although they profess it yet it is not there.

Naima00: just because that was the original religion does not mean it is better off for us. People evolve over time and often leave their original ways for a better way. It is not always the best to stick to old ways whether that be religion or culture/tradition but rather to assess all that is around you, leave what is not good and often take what is good for you. If you are stubborn and stick to your old ways then you will keep yourself backwards
So in the next 200yrs or so your descendants are free to denounce Islam, ur language, ur fashion, ur family name etc with the excuse that "it is old and backward"

Its mandatory that after the death of an Oba, his community observe a period of morning, some rituals are even done.
It's only the right thing to do so yes there would be restriction of movement

Christianity Etc › Re: Horrible! Woman Shot To Death Fornot Wearing Hijab In Somalia by macof(m): 1:59pm On Aug 05, 2014
Naima00: I beg to differ. There are many acts of evil that are carried out senselessly outside of Islam and Christianity also on a daily basis. Don't judge a religion by the followers of a religion judge the religion itself. This woman was not killed by Islam but an individual. We have to judge his actions for what they are, he has not done something that is part of the religion islam therefore no matter how much he says it is for islam , Islam is free from his evil.
Ok this isn't really my point as bad people are everywhere.
But don't you think Somalia would be better of with its original Worship system in the Name of Waaq?
This is afterall the Somali way, the way of ur own ancestors
