HealthRe: Any Cosmetic Dentist In Nigeria For Teeth whiten Smile? by madamL(f): 12:25pm On Feb 04, 2010
@abodundef

Call Ordontoville on 07055004466. The charges are a bit high but I am not rolling in money yet but can still afford the charges. He will demand for a reference since he doesn't expect you to cough out all the money at a go. You have to source for someone he knows who will vouch you won't skip with his money and then he will work on while you gradually find and pay all his money.

POVERTY AND IGNORANCE.

Poverty that makes a woman and or her husband incapable of giving her good food and conducive living environ.

Ignorance among women, their husbands and most deadly of all ignorance in medical personnel. I had a nightmarish experience long ago after my second baby. I developed a splitting headache a few minute after the baby was born and the nurses said it was normal. Luckily, I knew it was a symptom of post-partum eclampsia. They even refused to pick an intercom and summon the doctor saying I was making a fuss. Luckily, my husband was around and I got him to summon the doctors, who rushed in on hearing the word 'headache'. I still celebrate survival anyday the girl, who is 15 now, is celebrating her birthday. The deadly condition finishes up the victim in 10 minutes and the nurses had wasted like six minutes.

Let no woman go anywhere near a labour ward without another strong adult nearby.
PoliticsRe: Terror Watch List: Nigerian Lawmaker Deported From Amsterdam Schiphol by madamL(op): 5:04pm On Jan 22, 2010
It appears we are all agreed that the politicians put us on that list. It is good they are suffering it with us. More are bound to also see shame out there.
PoliticsTerror Watch List: Nigerian Lawmaker Deported From Amsterdam Schiphol by madamL(op): 9:57am On Jan 22, 2010
Terror Watch List: Nigerian Law maker deported.

A high-ranking Nigerian lawmaker, Tuggar Yusuf Maitama, this week became the first major casualty of Nigeria’s new inclusion by the United States among 14 nations allegedly with terrorist links.  Hon. Maitama, who represents Gamawa federal constituency of Bauchi State, is the Chairman of the Committee on Public Procurement in the House of Representatives. Mr. Maitama was traveling to New York on a KLM flight on Monday when the US Immigrations and Customs agents in Amsterdam pulled him aside and told him that he could not fly to the United States, having been found to have “terrorist tendencies”. His visa was immediately revoked and the lawmaker was deported to Nigeria. But Saharareporters quick search through US no-fly list and terrorism-related databases did not yield Maitama’s name.

It is not yet known if Maitama was coming to New York as part of an official delegation sent by the crumbling Yar’Adua regime to meet with UK and US officials over the inclusion of Nigeria in the terror watch list. The group, which includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ojo Maduekwe; the Senate Chairman on Foreign Relations, Jubril Aminu; his counterpart in the House of Representatives, Umar Bature, as well as the chairperson of the EFCC, Farida Waziri, made a stop-over in London yesterday, and is expected to arrive in New York later today. They are to be lodged at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel New York.

That means it will be an interesting visit, as they will be welcomed tomorrow morning by Nigerian protesters who are getting ready for a Save Nigeria Group "Enough Is Enough" rally at Nigeria House on the other side of the same block.

The cumbersome delegation is unlikely to meet with much success in the US. The US state department has already dispatched to Nigeria a delegation, led by US Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of Africa, Johnnie Carson.  It is expected to leave for a crucial three-day trip to meet with Goodluck Jonathan.

Mrs. Waziri's inclusion in the delegation is a surprise.  Owing to the poor work of the EFCC, she is highly unpopular with the US government, and the EFCC was singled out for criticism last year when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Nigeria.  In addition, Mrs. Waziri's first visit to the US a few months ago ended with her being heckled and chased out of an official function in New York by Nigerian demonstrators.  That encounter could be repeated tomorrow.

BusinessRe: Starting Pure Water Business by madamL(f): 4:23pm On Jan 16, 2010
Pls, pls, don't start the business with just the prices and shops for pure water machines. I have been in the biz for five years and I know you will get into deep trouble the way you are going. I suggest you meet and discuss with someone in the biz first before you make any move. The biz is lucrative but dicey and the tips will make the difference between success and failure. I am ready to help you free of charge rather than see you go through what happened to me before I started asking questions. My website is www.livcord.bloombiz.com. Email is livcord@yahoo.com. Take care.
CultureRe: Why Do We Spend So Much On Funerals? by madamL(f): 12:12pm On Jan 13, 2010
I guess it is a way of letting off sorrow. It does not make sense to me though. Two minutes after the body is in the earth, you catch the folks who were rolling on the ground 30 seconds back drinking stout and scrambling for food.

The last time I witnessed a funeral of a very young woman and how merrily people ate later, I decided I must guard my life well and not allow anything kill me prematurely so yeye people won't come and feast for nothing. It was a shame how the sorrow quickly evaporated. Maybe it is good in its own way.
HealthRe: How Can I Get Rid Of Cockroaches? by madamL(f): 12:04pm On Jan 13, 2010
Get someone to fumigate your house. I did it once and was free from roaches for a good eight months. That was pure bliss. Cleaning won't send them running away.
BusinessRe: Insult: MTN Locates West African Headquarters In Ghana by madamL(f): 3:15pm On Jan 12, 2010
I don't blame them. On a day some tax people of Lagos were harassing me for not paying enough (despite the fact that I paid exactly what I was billed) one of them boasted 'if you see what we did to Glo one day in this Lagos, you won't be making noise, you are too small to be talking loudly'. I realised then that we were somehow rendering the environment hostile to a lot of people.

They are in biz to make profit and with NEPA's misbehaviour and all the things going wrong, I don't blame anyone for running away.
BusinessRe: Pure Water Business by madamL(f): 5:51pm On Jan 10, 2010
Oluway,

You will need enough money to set up a factory building according to NAFDAC specifications, dig a borehole that is at least 150 feet deep (400T), buy a machine (one costs 300T), buy treatment plant (500T), do the needed plumbing work, buy at least one truck (MBenz 508 or 608 best at 900T), get a gen set of at least 25kva (500T for locally constructed or close to 1.5M for imported brand). You also need to register with NAFDAC. They will inspect factory, test water etc.

It takes a lot of money to set it up well. If you really mean to go into it, start by getting NAFDAC requirement. They don't compromise, they insist on doing it well, at least the ones I know. Every room in the building is supposed to flow in a pattern. Do not start building without consulting. The borehole must have a geological report that attests to its suitability before being accepted. You see, more care goes into ensuring purity of sachet water than people realise.

Do not take any step without ensuring it meets the specifications. There are a lot of other things you must know and ignorance of these kills most companies. Till you are ready to start.
