thank you jayjaygirl. my two sisters have undergone the surgery but are not too happy about it. one who did it soon after marriage is yet to conceive seven years after and the other went for it while still a spinster. As for opening someone up twice, perish the thought!!!Let us know about the medication you ordered. God's blessings. |
@Jayjaygirl. I need to know, did the heavy periods stop after the fibroid surgery? If it stopped, did it return with the re-growing of the fibroid? How was your overall well being after the surgery? Marked improvement? Do you recommend surgery to another sister who is having heavy periods due to fibroid and who is through with childbearing? Was it a very scary experience, I mean the surgery? |
How can the parents be reached by interested Nigerians? |

You order a mould if you want to customise your bottles. Moulds can be made locally but some people prefer to import. It involves conceptualising what you want, getting it drawn and made to high precision scales. The makers then work with that. Well made moulds last, bad ones spoil in no time or produce sub-standard bottles. Big PET blowing companies can help one get a mould. Prices vary. Just keep like 160K To 200K @Agarifoods. Not been to meeting for long since my zone has not called any for a very long time |
Hi all, I hope the new entrants are working round the clock to finish with NAFDAC and be able to start and hit the market before October. The end of the fasting starting on Monday signals the kick off of 'season'. It is a good time to start so that you dont have problems getting customers. Then, people do not bother about brands, all they want is water and that is good news for a beginner who is ready. |
Ajuju nkea enweghi isi na odu. |
Coeryson, thanks and are you a dermatologist? Read up the condition in Wikipaedia. Didnt know it has a name. No one has been able to say anything meaningful to all enquiries over the years. Thanks again. |
why are you still worrying when the doctor said there is no problem? I have seen many babies born while the mothers had fibroid. It is not a big deal |
you are not alone. there is a simple solution: bath with only warm water. In case you use cold water do not wipe your body dry vigourously with towel. Gently pat your body dry and you will not have any itching. It is a troublesome, unexplainable condition but after doctors did not have much to say, people experimented and came up with ths solution. By the way it often runs in families and is worse during the rainy season. Soaps of any type will not help, even Izal or Dettol and I am sure you must have tried all these. |
Hi everyone. Where did you all go to? We need more discussions here. Where are nylon rolls producers, makers of packing bags, shrink wrappers and bottles? Join the discussion; we ned to hear from you in this biz, abi Oga Kabarka? |
My people, what do they drink and smoke in Cameroun? What type of palm wine talk is this? Where are those millitants and kidnappers? Let them loose around there pls. |
@delphia. I read your post. I felt like crying along with you. This is just to say you must greet each new day with a song. I said a prayer for you and will continue doing that. God is awesome. I am a testimony in this area. I wasn't supposed to have kids but I got three. I only learnt my case was supposed to be hopeless the day I went for a scan and other tests in preparation for picking a suitable birth control method. The doctor quietly told me how many things were out of place and I screamed. She laughed and said, 'I thought you came here for birth control'. Doctors will all die of hunger if all people were like me so I never got to know all that were wrong until it was over. The only hint was that the kids were over-spaced and not because I wanted it that way ; it was during the last one when I went into premature labour that a scan showed the baby was competing for space with fibroid. Cheer up and I don't quite get that bit about his relations slapping you. Hmmmmmmm. I am lost for words but that is more than any gorl ought to take. God's grace. |
@DOW. I do allow people to train and get to look around and ask questions and all that. No problems provided you keep to the rules since water factories are regulated premises. @gEE10 I hope you went to receive directives from NAFDAC before you started building. They don't just accept any structure, there's a pattern. Pls see them if you have not done so. I am so happy at the new crop of people showing interest in this biz. It is a good sign when well educated, focused and articulate people are getting interested in any sector. I forsee good things for us all. By the way, does anyone here know any bottling line that has a conveyor system and works well? All my friends are weeping over what they were made to buy and some spent millions on theirs. I also will like to be shown where it is being used. |
my sister Hindsight, what vehicle you start with depends on where you intend to sell. The small Fords are mainly for selling around your locality and can only carry 250 bags max. If you plan to extend your market to distances up to twenty kilometres then there is need to carry more at a time. I was using LTs at first and then each will run three trips to a far distance and sell only 750 bags during all the three trips but with my MBs, three trips will mean 1200 bags minimum per truck. It saves diesel and no one wants to be constantly out on the road so if you can haul a lot with fewer trips why not? There are some truck brands that have some very troublesome parts notably ball joint. With such trucks, you will be at LASTM.A office every time since the truck will be stuck on a spot if the ball joint pulls. You also must ensure that the van has flat springs, do not accept anything with spiral springs for carrying water. MBs are rugged and can always get themselves back. With good customisation it has a good clearance from the ground. Just decide where you want to sell and how many you want to sell in a day and get advice from a good mechanic. Seek out a producer near you and go do attachment. it will save you millions, believe me I am speaking from very bitter experience. Be very very careful with what vans you buy, that can make or mar everything. |
Kabarka, I will hang around and chip in my bit once in a while. You are doing a great job. @wonderb. No problems, it is good you are not planning to jump in like I did. It cost me millions, at least the money my mechanic used to build a 4-bedroom flat, before I sought for knowledge with all my strength. You can check out my website www.livcord.bloombiz.com. My email address is livcord@yahoo.com. |
Kabarka, good job!!! The business is lucrative but that is if and when you get a few things right. I have gone through the thread and I fear that there is a lot to learn and I hope new entrants to the biz will exercise enough patience to learn before starting. It is possible to toil and sell a lot of bags in a month and still not make any profit. It happened to me when I started off and I wished I had seen anyone to advise me. It is good that producers are becoming more open minded now. I tried to visit a factory near me then and the owner was very angry and accused me of espionage of all crimes. I decided later when my biz started doing well never to hide information from beginners. A few tips: Look for high-yielding nylon. I will never accept anything below 23 bags per kilo. I also insist on being given credit facilities and have vowed never to violate trust in area of payment. Check over-loading by sales staff. My biz was almost wiped out once by over-loading. One big van was over-loaded by 154 bags the day God helped me catch the thieving team. Learn a lot about your vans and their parts. When I started, my mechanic rushed a four-bedroom house in less than six months due to my ignorance. I forced myself to learn and my woes ended then. Know your route very well and get police, FRSC, VIO friends on the route or your boys will steal all your money claiming they used it to settle the road traffic kings. Do not over-trust any staff. Have an arrangement that ensures your vans and machines are repaired fast so you won't keep customers waiting. Buy durable truck brands. For long hauls. mercedes benz products are good. Do watch fuel use and have a good idea how many litres you really need. Ikotun to Island for instance can take 15 litres with a mercedes benz 608 carrying about 450 bags. You work out details or your boys will start excess diesel sales biz. Let your trucks leave early. Mine all leave before 5am so as to beat hold up and all manner of traffic officials. Now, I operate more at night and have customers who pay in money to my account and get supplied at night. Breakdowns are low at night since everywhere is cool and there are no hold ups. The list is long but whoever wants to venture must do some training in another factory. It is very important. |
Lord prepare to receive thy dear old daughter for I will not stop eating dried fish. |
I hope the beating was really carried out well? Pardon me people but I have issues with LASTMA. Only few people wake up and plan for their vehicles to spoil and block the road. Again, why harrass someone who is sweating and running around visibly trying to get a bad truck off the road? I have seen cases where you will hire boys to push off the bad truck and while they are at it LASTMA van will block them and tow the van. I thought they are supposed to help get the van off the road or at best punish impunity. Once more I feel good about that beating. My personal view people. |
I hope all of us that are rushing land around Lekki, Ajah and such areas are seeing this |
Bros macfarland, Na wa for you!!!! I must say those days were somehow. How on earth did any of us gals enjoy reading such trash and actually smiling while reading them idiotic lines? Any modern girl of even eleven won't go beyond the first line. |
I read this thread regularly and I believe it was brave of Arlington to have started it and given women a chance to speak out on this nagging issue of delay in conceiving. Very glad that God has rewarded her for this effort. Pls God keep her in your hands. Amen. I wish others same thing. This is from a sister who has seen miracles in this particular area, pls put all trust in God. Honest doctors will tell you they still cannot fully fathom out much about conception and birth. |
I am an impatient creature. One woman tried nonsense for just a few months on our property and she fled . We hired some rough boys who scattered part of the house. She called police and got nw husband arrested but he was out in under two hours. She was not too sure we might not do worse than scatterering the house and took fright. In under a month she was gone. Same woman got another house nearby tried same bad tricks and new landlord reported to baale who have her notice. When that expired said ruler sent some toughs from palace to evict her. It takes hell to build a house why must someone stay there and insult me? Call it jungle style but I remember de sacrifice that went into building that particular property. |
Friends, I have also started running fifty miles every day as part of my exercise routine. Nonsense!!!!!!! |
Doc, thanks for offering to give free advise here. I hope the first response did not discourage you. People need you. |

Yes, what are you guys laughing about ??. They give at least four free textbooks including English language and Mathematics in Lagos schools. The schools are equally good with qualified teachers. Try visiting some of them.If poster means private schools, the cost ranges from #3000 per term for the one near my house to one million naira a year for Atlantic Hall and ADRAO. |
Call the number. I have never asked for whitening of teeth and so have no idea of cost. The people there are very amiable. They will answer your questions politely and give you whatever info you need over the phone. I CAN SAY THEY ARE GOOD. The Oga there did an intricate procedure for me some ten years back and I have not had cause to complain. My kids and Oga also do routine stuff there. The headman there is called Dr Emeka. You can ask to be given his number so you speak direct to him but anyone there can hold a decent conversation on the services. |
