Romance / Re: The Type Of Men I Don't Want (personal Opinion) by madjune(m): 4:55am On Dec 03, 2023
SweetBuns:
They say that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder", but honestly speaking there are certain calibres of men I will never go near no matter how hard they try.

To get straight to the point,

1. Short men
Oh my God.... I don't just know what to say about these sort of men. If I'm taller than you as a girl, then sorry but I can never see you as my second piece. You'll always be like a younger brother to me. No hard feelings.
Short men also have this irritating attitude whenever they see girls around, as if they're trying to compensate for their low height. And some even go to the gym and gets muscles.... But it just makes them look shorter like a 5 litre jerry can and irritating
Also, why in the world would I pick a short guy over a tall guy? I literally feel so protected and safe when I'm with a guy that is wayyyy taller than me (I'm 5'2 so my height is kinda average)... So ofc I'd want a tall man and not a mini man.
Imagine hugging a man and he's hugging your waist cause he's short ugh.
I wanna stand on my toes whenever I kiss him and strain my neck just to look at his face. No more no less.
Tall men also stand out more, they're far more attractive and I also want taller sons and daughters.
Who should the short guys date then? I dunno... But not me.
The bar starts at 6'0, but If you're like 6'2 or 6'3... I want your babiesss

2. Bald men
The only age where I think baldness is acceptable as a man for me is if he's like in his 50s or 60s. But if you're in your 20s-30s and you're already going bald.... It just irritates me low-key in a inexplicable way... Like why will a young guy have a hairline that receeds all the way to the middle or back of your head? Where did all your hair go? Gross
I also read somewhere that early balding is genetically inherited so that means my children too will suffer the same fate? God forbid.
My man ought to have a head full of hair well into his 60s, then we start talking about hair loss.

3. "Oju yo Bo" people
I didn't know the English term for this so I had to Google it. It's a Yoruba term for people whose eyes pop out of their sockets like that of a wall gecko. This is also something I don't like in my man.... I want his eyes to be like that of Henry Cahill... Neatly tucked inside and having small slit like opening.

Addition: so I just googled it and it's called prey eyes. I prefer the hunter one since it gives my man a piercing gaze and I just wanna hug him immediately.

4. Eyebrows
A man MUST have thick eyebrows. If you don't, I can't take you seriously

5. Men with bad posture

6. Men who supports man U grin

That last one was a joke but I'm dead serious about the rest. And I'm sure other girls will agree to some up there too.

One can't ever completely cure ignorance, but at least, one can shine a light.
I respect the OP's reservations until she mentioned "baldness"
Well, baldness might be sexy to some and a turn off for some, too. But, it doesn't run through the man's line.
It is always carried by the Mom whose father was bald.
In other words, men are recessive carriers.

And, it could manifest in the man at any age, starting from 20s.
Mine started in my mid twenties. I loved it, because since then, I've never been to any barbing salon to pay for a haircut.
And, I don't think I look far from sexy.
You can look me up and tell me.

Politics / Re: Fayemi To Speak At UN Climate Change Conference In Dubai by madjune(m): 6:58pm On Nov 30, 2023
panpan:

I have been wondering about the federal government's interest in climate change.
So it is all about money.
Nations are expected to comply with climate change orders, for which they will be given a token from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The World Bank and the IMF are just agents of the west that were created to control other nations.

It's all about money, bro.

And the Nigerian govt knows a lot of its citizens are sleeping.
The developed nations are mandated to pay $100bn annually to developing nations affected by climate change.
It's called Climate finance. You can read it up.
That's what's going on now. That's Tinubu's hustle.
Politics / Re: Fayemi To Speak At UN Climate Change Conference In Dubai by madjune(m): 3:47pm On Nov 30, 2023
In case some of you don't know because most of you don't follow world news properly, there's something called "Loss and damage" funding in United Nations parlance...or in other words, climate finance.

It's the money that would be paid to developing nations who contributed the least %s to global pollution, which is causing this climate change and its problems.

This money should be like $100bn paid annually through the World bank and IMF, to individual recepient countries of which Nigeria is among.

That's why Tinubu has hustled to be there and folks like Fayemi is there to make a good case for Nigeria.

The question Nigerians should be asking is, what will happen to the money when it's paid?
Of cos, it will be paid annually. Na cash out for these greedy mthrfkrs.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Teaching Is The Worst Job In Nigeria by madjune(m): 10:45pm On Nov 25, 2023
Teaching isn't a bad profession.

As it's the case with things that are wrong with Nigeria, that's a pointer to poor leadership, institutional breakdown and poor management of our resources.
In a structured economy, resources would be well managed to compensate teachers duly.
Nigeria is rich. Maybe not now, but, Nigeria has had its good share of oil wealth through the years.

What became of it? Everything is politicized and channeled towards political brigandage.

Show me other countries where teachers earn peanuts and I will show you it's African leadership or a directionless one.

It's all a function of leadership.

Do a legit paper and go. If you have a reliable agent, you can travel and make it even if it takes a little time. You can go over there and acquire a skill to boost yourself. I have a similar plan with you . Don't go with your family now and don't worry about wife's infidelity, any woman that wants to cheat will cheat even under your nose.
1. Make sure you use a reliable agent
2. You need to do a serious spiritual work, especially through prayer to clear your way spiritually so that forces of darkeness won't frustrate your plans.
3. Be positive and strong, life is about risk. Take it and make it

I like your spirit. Life is a risk. Who no go no go know.

I actually feel for this man. Wish I can help.
If you're reading this, if you ever make it out to US, reach out; I can provide a place for you till you get on your feet.

Sports / Re: Francis Ngannou Reflects On His Fight With Tyson Fury: "I Won But... (Video) by madjune(m): 6:43pm On Oct 30, 2023
Francis proved a point by knocking Fury down but he also showed the world things he didn't know about boxing.

I could blame it on his coaches. I've always had my doubts about Dewey Cooper who was his coach.
That dude is too surface. He won't tell his fighters the tricks of the game till its late.
He might even tell it cos he doesn't see it.

Now, Francis, after you knocked Fury down, what did you do?

You were supposed to step up and make sure you match Fury's landing shots or even score more than him.
That would have won you the match.

Instead, Francis became docile. Clay footed. Taking more shots from Fury and landing little or nothing.

Fury knew he can't knock Francis down so he worked more and landing more shots for the rest of the rounds and that's what gave him the win.

Besides that, body language counts. Judges look out for fatigue.
By round 4, Francis wants panting and breathing through his mouth. That was a No No.
And his dunny coach wouldn't tell him to man up.

These are things he needs to get in order if he wants that belt.

Everyone dreads public speaking to some extent.

Cool down.

The first mistake you made was made in your mind.

You started off well and few mins into it, you panicked and your hormones took over. Fear.

Thing is, you could have done very well.
You were too scared to believe in yourself doing it well.

So, you failed in your mind already.
And, that's because you called it a big deal.

To speak well infront of a crowd, never call it a big deal.
Start off calmly, calmly...at some point, you will find your rhythm. From there, nature takes over.
Never try to speak fast or to try to sound like some other person.
Nature will give you your rhythm.

You didn't even complain that you've a stutter or some speech impediment. No.
You're really good to go. Next time, make sure you kill it.
You surely can.

I don't blame you.

I only blame the half baked education you received.
Poor sense of history or research will only lead to distorted deduction of issues.

When China's population ballooned through the 80s and 90s and the government initiated the one child policy to curb its economic fallout, didn't they provide social aid programs for its citizens?

Go and read. Then you can come out and claim authority.

Why do all these responses seem so very disconnected from reality? undecided

When in the last 63 years has the Nigerian government ever not failed the people of Nigeria? The Government has almost always failed the people yet that didn't stop the people from breeding like rats and causing the population to balloon to over 215 million that it is today, a situation that is not sustainable given that in the same period of time Nigeria has spent a lot of its vast resources away while the people did other things. So why resort to blaming the government at this point when the Government has almost always been a cracked pot since its beginning? undecided

Stop the blame game and do the work.

Place your focus on why the government doesn't have social aid programs for the poor.

That's something. Let's start from there.
All over the world, the poor still make babies.

Making babies doesn't mean the government shouldn't play its role.

They're two different issues.

■ You dey read at all? The changes are for the betterment of the country not just the section of the country that is poor. It is left to the poor to choose whether rise or die at this point. Nigeria cannot and should not keep lagging all for the sake of the poor. The poor need to step up. undecided

2. Well, if people continue to live as they did before now... multiplying like rats, and living foolishly--- of course suffering will remain their lot. However, if people decide to finally cut coats according to their size --- commonsense --- then their is hope. I am not against the poor but the country was not built only for them and the poor need to help themselves at this point. undecided

You sound so narrow minded and self centered at the same time.
I don't encourage indolence on the poor's part but, you failed to call out the government in its failing.

The state is a social contract entered into by the government and the governed.

The government owes the people in some measure(s)

That's why in developed countries, you will see the government and its people oriented programs aimed to serve as cushions or support system in dark times.

With all the Nigerian oil earnings through ages, can you ask yourself; what aid does it proffer to the poor?

In terms of education, Healthcare or small businesses?

Virtual none.

So, the poor should go and lift themselves out of poverty? With no support?

Can you find yourself deep in a gully, with no ladder and someone tells you to lift yourself out of its depth?

How would you feel in that scenario?

The bolded is not true. Biggie fits into the narrative more than Tupac. Just two albums and he had all the fame. Biggie got introduced to the game, got a ounce and fuccking blew up. Forget long talk, Biggie remains the king of hip hop. Tupac was good though. His best tracks to me are baby don't cry and shorty wanna be a thug.

Forget about blowing up.

Biggie made dance beats with little or no philosophical depth.

Pac brought intellectualism to rap. He made Politicians think.

I will post a more apt reply. Later. At work now.

Tupac single handedly shaped the face and sound of hip hop in the 90s.

He was a one man riot squad, unparalleled.

His shortcomings were- He didn't know when to pick a fight and when to squash a fight.

He made enemies almost anywhere he went, through his actions or things said.
Dude overtalked and over bragged. That was hip hop fashion though but, a smart dude would've picked his words.
Lastly, he was dangerously overconfident.

Imagine going out and driving around with no bullet vests after beating up a thug?

C'mon.
