platinumnk:LMBO!!! Can you imagine! Beefing us well-meaning ladies for taking the time to show our heartfelt admiration for Nairaland's Finest . These admirable young men have wowed us with their looks, personality and respect for the ladies here on NL. Gentlemen like those already mentioned ( some more than once), eg ravenzord, StephenP, doyin13, J4real, jay bee, Zionking, jac-da hunk-quan . . . And more to come as they emerge.@ finemocha and plantinimk, that's it girls, kick 'em to the curb . Make we see road see better person. ROTFLMAO!!!! |
J4real:That's better ! |
sweetpie23:Now all he has to do is "show" to collect his award, lol. Talk about MIA. But I still want me some jaquan-C . |
Pixies?? Hmm, I think I'm off to bed. Una bye bye. |
ibkaye:eh?? Oya, proof it. |
ibkaye:Ol' girl where you from bring these ones come?? Are they even members? Lol. Some pple just like to go against the grain. SmH. |
finemocha:Well he's been getting votes from both genders, which is something. So what's the verdict, ladies . |
finemocha:Babe, you know what's up . One glimpse of jaquan a day, keeps the doctor away .Zionking, StephenP, J4real & co. are tapping, too. Ain't we lucky. Lol. |
Lol @ the applause .gif. Heard the black guy was interviewed, and confessed he was a bit drunk. That he doesn't normally act like that. Yeah right. Though the old man is a wayward sha. He went to jail for drug pushing when he was younger - and he's still using. That's prolly where he gets his superhuman strength from, LMBO. |
SeXyBoNE:Because pple put so much stock in having 5,324 "friends" in their profile and think they have achieved something . Or is it the virtual relationships they make with people they might never even meet?? Only in some cases are their real-life friends involved. The rest is just make-believe. At least on NL there is some semblance of reality .Not to talk of how some molesters, rapists and killers use facebook to meet, "groom" and lure innocent girls into their traps. Perverts. |
eddiebomba:Are you quite done?? "Obviously more enlightened people?" Since when?? Look the impact we make even without really trying. They can't shoot a decent movie without making some passing comment about Nigeria. It must be catching. Why should we care if Congo or North Korea is mentioned? Would they care in our case?? |
Sam Milla:Come now bro, I said case rested!! (a lawyer would understand, Mr. Internet guru )But ok, ok, I'll pretend I get your point, just so we can agree to disagree. |
Thor:Lol. And upon this I rest my case .The topic should have read, Nairaland or Facebook - Which One is More Important to YOU?? |
Sam Milla: Sam Milla:Just what is your stand? That they shouldn't be compared, or that "it depends"?? Sam Milla:Speak in English please. What exactly are you on about?? Sam Milla:Yes, yes . And that makes me feel so scholastically deprived . |
Ujujoan:Hey chill out, gurl . The truth is, fat isn't healthy, whether it sits well on a person or not!! I'm not saying all fat, overweight people should commit suicide or hate themselves. But a small change in diet and lifestyle can go a long way. |
arkinses:Lol @ the Simpsons' barb. I guess no publicity is bad publicity. So maybe, in fact, we are happy we're being mentioned/talked about at all. It makes us feel relevant. If that's our only contribution to Hollywood, then so be it . |
Ujujoan: maedan:Like I said, it's an impression that most guys have about us. I never said it was a "statistic" or a factual figure. The poster has this impression, perhaps due to the handful or so he's seen/known. I for one know obesity, or at least, big-bellied, flabby-armed chicks, is a commom phenomenon. It's time for a change . |
People are being unfair in their comparisons between the two. Sam Milla, I mean, come on - Sam Milla:As we speak, this site has about 1,400 users online at a given time. A quarter of those are actually registered, frequent members. So I guess it's safe to say that NL is lively in its own right. Facebook is a social site, Nairaland is a society. Most of the time . |
Ridiculous yes but it will soon achieve "hot topic" status with 25 replies or more. And yes, I'm helping .This Avatar sef I need to go and see it. But I hate the Pocahontas-foreigner-falling-for-indigene theme. |
Poster I think you are right. Only a few have a fitness awareness or even care what they put into their bodies. They simply console themselves that good clothes and make up can cover a multitude of sins. It's high time we girls change this impression that 90% of our gender has flabby stomach and arms and stretchmarked skin. |
They should stop disrespecting us o . Anyway it's more glamourous to mention Nigeria than, say, Ghana or Sierra Leone. Or even RSA. We be popping . |
I disagree with you. Storm with its widescreen like iphone gives you an unlimited access. Fairly used ones could be stressful; I am still enjoying mine anyway.
Yep, the BB Storm series boasts a great big screen. But the more popular BBs are the Bold and Curve. I guess the Storm was meant to be an improvement on the smaller screens of the other BBs. What's the use of a smartphone if the screen is not much bigger than your everyday mobile? Maybe I'm just biased cos of what the iPhone 3Gs has to offer. |
And romantic, active guys are supposed to fall for this?? They aren't that stupid. |
Lol. Maybe, maybe not. That's actually a song I wrote, but decided to post it as a poem. Who knows, it might be that I'm getting a bit bored with this forum anyways . |
lasgidi4rv:Hmm where do I start? From its yeye little screen to the slow way it loads and then the qwerty keyboard is a mess - I've used the Palm smartphone before so I know how a proper qwerty keyboard feels. My husband uses a blackberry and I hate it!! It's stressful to use, and I'm good with gadgets so don't think that's it. it's just an annoying phone but I dare not tell him that . |
RSA:Are you through?? Do you have any more pearls of wisdom to share with us?? |
afam4eva:Gbam and double GBAM!! |
denzel2009:LOL @ "it does what it says on the box". That's not always a good thing y'know . |
Just when the flame dies Just as the dew dries On the leaves you'll know it's time to say goodbye Unbind the tie Don't ask me why I must leave you Please dry your eyes I can't tell you lies I must go But take pleasure In this treasure I give you O I wish I could stay And yet I know Sure as the winds blow. . . I must go. |
Weird. But good. Deep stuff! |
lasgidi4rv:Yeah, the flip one is cool. That's a BB I could buy . But seriously, whether you use all the features or not, does the phone deliver? In a majority of ways I think the BB doesn't. |
Kx:LOL. Nigerian men of God don suffer!! So that's the next thing to say eh, that Nigerian Churches/men of God are greedy/money-crazy?? I don't want to name any names, but please go to the United States and see how they are running things. Ok, I will mention names. T.D. Jakes produces books, audio and video CDs, podcasts, programmes. Dude, you pay for everything. Try asking T.D. Jakes to start giving one of his bestselling literature out free. You'll get the reply you deserve . (I love TDJ by the way).So you see, we got this materialistic view from outside. It's not a Nigerian thing. You need to understand: things cost money. Salvation is not a thing. The Grace of God is not a "thing". So can we please stop the comparisons right here and now. Peace . |
