Politics / Re: Lagos State Closes Ladipo Market For Environmental Offences by maintenant: 9:50am On Sep 29, 2023 |
ecolime:It is not about tribalizing anything... Lagos is just a cash cow for the all the governors to toy with without proferring a lasting solution to the problems bedevilling the city. Go to Calabar and see gigantic waste disposal troughs strategically placed at designated places. The waste disposal trucks come at night to evacuate the troughs and the city is kept clean. What happened to adopting a similar strategy and setting up a refuse levy collection task force which would be tasked with making collections and locking the shops of defaulters? What we are seeing in Ladipo is that anytime that the state government feels that they are not getting the requisite political patronage from the traders in the market, the next you will hear is the summary closure of the market. Someday people will leave Lagos and these elements who play politics with almost everything would then know better... |

Obaofaba:You stay in Ikole Ekiti and be typing trash on spomething you have no idea on... Where is the law that says that the opposition must contest in one party to win elections? This is how you evil APC and your supporters reason: You work from the answer back to the question. All we are asking for is a disinterested electoral umpire that will ensure that all partirs enjoy a level-playing field so that votes count and the process reasonably devoid of fraud and manipulations. If the election in Imo State is free and fair, Uzodinma stands no chance and he knows it... 1 Like |

If there is any prayer that we should make, it is for God to remove those who usurped power and restore the rightful leaders that will take Nigeria to the next level. God can never be the author of confusion. |

FOXDOSSIER:Does this kind of madness still exist? It is total insanity to believe that your brilliance can only shine when you put your brother's down. LegendHero:As silly and senseless as you sound, would you maintain this same position if an Igboman becomes president in the future and adopt this style? We look at you people and feel sorry for you because your narrow-mindedness and base instincts make it difficult for you to see beyond your nose. You are creating problems for your incoming generations: The precedence has been set and we will raise it three notches further when we get our turn. 2 Likes |
Politics / Re: 2023: Atiku, Peter Obi Gave Victory As Donation To Tinubu – Soyinka by maintenant: 10:48am On Sep 18, 2023 |
Senility has certainly set in. Nigeria practises multi-party democracy so how does the fact that Atiku and Obi chose to run under separate tickets translate to the impossibility of either of them winning the election. Is it that Prof Soyinka is ignorant or that he has allowed ethnocentric considerations to deaden his ability to escape the stultifications of narrowmindedness? Is it that he has not seen where one of the opposition candidates trumped the ruling party candidate in an election? This is complete senselessness and it is so unfortunate it is coming from a person of Soyinka's staure. This probably compromised man has not made any statement to condemn the banditry committed by INEC in manipulating an electoral process to favour a predetermined end. If the election was conducted in a free and fair manner with Tinubu emerging victorious, nobody would have seriously contested the outcome... What all these utterances mean is that there was no presidential election but a charade to deceive people. It is not like we were not aware of likely issues that could emanate from the integrity of the electoral process. INEC was never under compulsion to promise the electronic transmission of results to significantly eliminate doubts on the outcome That INEC chose to game the process is something that every person of good conscience should condemn. One thing is certain: The last election and the aftermath have exposed the beast in a lot of people. From the pseudo-intellectuals to the cashvitists, then to the ethnic champions masquerading as moralists and then to the bigots donning the facade of humanism. |

Mynd44:You really should be doing more than this... The location of the Osisioma you claimed to have visited is in such a way like a person talking and dismissing Ibadan because he happened to have jumped into a vehicle, then drove from Lagos through Sagamu. He afterwards proceeded from Sagamu and tangentially passed through the periphery of Ibadan onto the road leading to Ife before negotiating their way to Akure through Owena... The dude jumps up in a discourse to claim to have visited Ibadan even when he passed through less than one-hundredth part of the city... 2 Likes |

Gamesmart:Oga you deceiving yourself... There is a reason coaches like Guardiola are coveted all over the world. If your team hits the post 3 times and trail an opponent you largely outplayed 2-4 on shots on target, then something is wrong. Talent most times is hardly enough... This is a match Nigeria had no business losing... We cannot make the upgrade if we continue this loser's habit of saying that "at least we tried"... Morroco got to the semi-final of the men's World cup despite having no previous experience of going beyond the round of 16...
