Politics / Re: Lagos State Closes Ladipo Market For Environmental Offences by maintenant: 9:50am On Sep 29, 2023
ecolime:
Ladipo market is a huge mess. The whole place is just too filthy.

I hope they don't tribalize this thread.
It is not about tribalizing anything...

Lagos is just a cash cow for the all the governors to toy with without proferring a lasting solution to the problems bedevilling the city.

Go to Calabar and see gigantic waste disposal troughs strategically placed at designated places.

The waste disposal trucks come at night to evacuate the troughs and the city is kept clean.

What happened to adopting a similar strategy and setting up a refuse levy collection task force which would be tasked with making collections and locking the shops of defaulters?

What we are seeing in Ladipo is that anytime that the state government feels that they are not getting the requisite political patronage from the traders in the market, the next you will hear is the summary closure of the market.

Someday people will leave Lagos and these elements who play politics with almost everything would then know better...

We want labor party on the ballot so that what happened in the presidential election will happen again.

Labor party is a threath to the PDP.

APC is just the real winner in all of this.

Read between lines.
You stay in Ikole Ekiti and be typing trash on spomething you have no idea on...

Where is the law that says that the opposition must contest in one party to win elections?

This is how you evil APC and your supporters reason: You work from the answer back to the question.

All we are asking for is a disinterested electoral umpire that will ensure that all partirs enjoy a level-playing field so that votes count and the process reasonably devoid of fraud and manipulations.

If the election in Imo State is free and fair, Uzodinma stands no chance and he knows it...

If there is any prayer that we should make, it is for God to remove those who usurped power and restore the rightful leaders that will take Nigeria to the next level.

God can never be the author of confusion.

Stop using envy and frustration to betray your emotions. Owerri is a slum and a glorified village. There’s nothing happening in Owerri except commercial sex hawking. Imo indigenes cannot even live in Owerri because it is a village, they are running to Onitsha, Enugu and PH for greener pasture. Useless fellow go and ask your leaders to develop imo state instead of always coming here with your frustration l. You should be sober because imo is a failed state.

Does this kind of madness still exist?

It is total insanity to believe that your brilliance can only shine when you put your brother's down.

In traditional/ancient Igbo society and culture, you should either be banished or sold into slavery...

Politics / Re: HURIWA Slams Tinubu Over ‘Lopsided’ Appointments by maintenant: 1:28pm On Sep 18, 2023
LegendHero:
HURIWA the IPOB terrorists organization should go and die.

Tinubu is the president of the federal republic and he will appoint people based on their qualities. If the Nigerian constitution want all position to be shared equally among the 250 tribes, it would have said so and Tinubu will uphold that.

If I will blame Tinubu, I will only blame him for not appointing more from the minority tribes because no one speak for them in this country. It is always Yoruba, Ibo, and Hausa/Fulani that people try to look for.

Peter Obi people should go and seek appointment from him since he is their president. Why are they doing long throat to Tinubu?
As silly and senseless as you sound, would you maintain this same position if an Igboman becomes president in the future and adopt this style?

We look at you people and feel sorry for you because your narrow-mindedness and base instincts make it difficult for you to see beyond your nose.

You are creating problems for your incoming generations: The precedence has been set and we will raise it three notches further when we get our turn.

Politics / Re: 2023: Atiku, Peter Obi Gave Victory As Donation To Tinubu – Soyinka by maintenant: 10:48am On Sep 18, 2023
Senility has certainly set in.

Nigeria practises multi-party democracy so how does the fact that Atiku and Obi chose to run under separate tickets translate to the impossibility of either of them winning the election. Is it that Prof Soyinka is ignorant or that he has allowed ethnocentric considerations to deaden his ability to escape the stultifications of narrowmindedness? Is it that he has not seen where one of the opposition candidates trumped the ruling party candidate in an election?

This is complete senselessness and it is so unfortunate it is coming from a person of Soyinka's staure.

This probably compromised man has not made any statement to condemn the banditry committed by INEC in manipulating an electoral process to favour a predetermined end. If the election was conducted in a free and fair manner with Tinubu emerging victorious, nobody would have seriously contested the outcome...

What all these utterances mean is that there was no presidential election but a charade to deceive people. It is not like we were not aware of likely issues that could emanate from the integrity of the electoral process.
INEC was never under compulsion to promise the electronic transmission of results to significantly eliminate doubts on the outcome That INEC chose to game the process is something that every person of good conscience should condemn.

One thing is certain: The last election and the aftermath have exposed the beast in a lot of people. From the pseudo-intellectuals to the cashvitists, then to the ethnic champions masquerading as moralists and then to the bigots donning the facade of humanism.

This kind of talk is for those who have not visited Aba multiple times.

Those who have passed Osisioma, front of Aba North LGA Secretariat, the Aba-PHC road where half the road was turned into a waste site and the general state of insecurity will argue otherwise.

Aba needs Abia state to have a good governor that will make things better and help turn the place into what the eldorado the residents want to see. Hopefully, Otti will do well, he has had a long time to prepare for the job ahead.

No. Excuses
You really should be doing more than this...

The location of the Osisioma you claimed to have visited is in such a way like a person talking and dismissing Ibadan because he happened to have jumped into a vehicle, then drove from Lagos through Sagamu.

He afterwards proceeded from Sagamu and tangentially passed through the periphery of Ibadan onto the road leading to Ife before negotiating their way to Akure through Owena...

The dude jumps up in a discourse to claim to have visited Ibadan even when he passed through less than one-hundredth part of the city...

I don't remember expressing such nonsense to you, learn how to read, comprehend and follow simple Internet discussion.

Btw, your worldview is your own personal opinion, not mine so what relevance is that to the discussion?

When you feel insecure and have low self-esteem, you get paranoid, you get defensive, you base everything and your daily worries on victim mentality.

Talking about fairness, what more fairness do you need after the FG bought N660 Billion worth of vehicles from Innoson and even mandated FG agencies to only buy Innoson, what else do you need?

What about the other car manufacturers that did not get that kind of money, attention, and federal mandate to only buy from them?

Shouldn't the other manufacturers be the ones shouting unfairness?

How hard is it for you people to make even the smallest sense?

I refused to be pushed to condescend to your level of uncouthness and base predilections...

You need to get an auspicious semblance of engagement other than being inexorably fixated on anything Igbo...

The tragedy of your situation dwells on the fact that you have chosen to keep punching the air around someone who is hardly nonplussed about your very provenance...

Your deceptive and dubious essay doesn't rhyme with the dragging, backlash, and abuse Enugu and Abia state governors received for not buying Innoson.

The thing is, you people are too duplicitous, deceptive and illogical, you move and shift your goalpost just to dodge accountability, Igbo people all over social media are trashing both governors for not buying innoson, but you are here talking your own rubbish that igbo people don't care.

You need to keep quiet nd sit down somewhere with your rubbish.

Even sef, what FG are you talking about?

Buhari bought more Innoson than all your governors combined many times over, Innoson himself always praise the FG for supporting him and it has nothing to do with deceptive and lying jokers like you.

What is your point?

This fixation of yours is beginning to look like a complex...

Nobody is telling you that Igbos are all angels all the time but rather it is all about the basic principles that define the Igbo worldview...

While promote fairness and abhor injustice, you guys find fulfilment in doing the opposite...

So what exactly is your point?
