I dont think you need to go through such stress.
Just download forms from different registrars, fill them and tick many 'viable' coys on it before taking to the bank for submission.
You dont have to have a single unit at the point of e-registration......my understanding of how it works, I may be wrong though.
"i hate dealing with customer service especially as a retail investor".....I found out from my own experience that any time you sell a stock, a new account number is opened for you even if you use the same clearing house, also I found out to my own suprise that in most financial houses like banks, insurance, even stockbrokers that I am not the only one having the same combination of names, so the finance houses are usually right when they tell me that the onus is on me to keep proving that I am the person i claim to be, So in order not to keep repeating the registration process I never sell all my holdings, I just top up or empty down...... I also buy tasere unit of stocks i have eyes on and do all necessary paper work on them anticipating dividend even if i might not buy a substancial amount..... I used 20units to mean a baseline as there are some stocks that buying only 20 units will make you incur charges greater than the amount......... Ever since I followed this simple rule I receive my alert as everyone receives theirs on payment date ......

Pls house, I need clarification. I am yet to submit my e-dividend form to my bank for the Zenith bank dividend payment and won't be chanced to do so till Wednesday next week.

Hope it won't be too late for me by then for the registrars to process the form? Thanks.
ONE WAY TO GET AROUND THIS IS TO GET 20 UNITS OF ALL VIABLE COMPANIES ON NSE AND DO THE PAPER WORK SUCH THAT EARNINGS SEASON LIKE THIS YOU CAN QUICKLY SELL AFTER QUALIFYING FOR DIVIDEND AND USE THE CASH TO CHASE OTHER HOT STOCKS

Please I need advice and guidance because it's my first time. I have #10,000 and I want to invest it before this month runs out...Please ur help will seriously be appreciated as I am new to this. A total newbie.
please help
Let me start from Here, You would want to invest and see your investment yield like say 100,000,000.....This is possible but you have 2 wicked and vicious enemies against you, they are Time and rate of return while waiting.....I once read a book that adviced for one to take all investment like farming grains as most investment mimics farming practices....If all you have is a grain of corn it is possible to fill a silo from a grain of corn but the minimum you would have to wait is 50 years(time) and that is if all the conditions necessary for the farming of corn(rate of return) is perfect for that 50 year time, so for starters you farm your grains one season at a time.......Therefore, If all you have is a grain of corn, you would do all that is necessary to keep the corn alive, you will watch over it day and night, you would look for the best possible soil to plant it, You would pick every bug that wants to make a nice meal of your growing plant.........With this analogy, stocks can only be an option to you if you have got time on your side and are not expecting a fantastic rate of return.................
The lure to stocks occurs when stocks are marketed as if current shareholders were the original owners of the firm....

Who takes over from the retiring CBN governor?
Our Country is not known for extolling competence into high positions........ Of all the names mentioned how i wish they could all go through a gruelling competence test before taking this positions..... I can only voice my say from interviews granted this personalities on national tv stations,,, but I wish Bismack Rewane can be given a chance, He talks like *Stone Cold Steve Austin * when discussing finance, He criticizes using a hammer to kill mosquitos especially when discussing National Finance....... Anyway CBN Governorship is not by our votes

wouldnt it be nice to know how the new transcorp Ikoyi hotel might add to the top and bottom line especially of transcop hotel as it has been spun of transcorp plc, the new hotel is gearing up to open to guest in about 18 months time (in one "annual reports" time),,,,,My main concern is that it is coming up against good breeds in the game............within 5sq miles around it, there is southern sun, ikoyi hotel, la meridian, federal palace, black diamond hotel, oriental hotel to mention a few....... and to mention the new hotel will be smaller than transcorp hilton abuja by 1/2.....The hotel is already on hiltons map and I am sure all 350 rooms will be occupied every night for 365 days a year...

He can't replicate it in other African countries because he wouldn't get the same advantages over there. His effective tax rate in Nigeria is less than 1 percent over the last ten years. Nigerians pay twice the global price of cement. Foreign governments would not allow such exploitation in their countries.
Hmmmmmm, I want to disagree o!!!!, I have a feeling that it is just a matter of time, currently he has the power to crush any start up cement company in sub-saharan africa especially if they are not being runned by trusted names in the game like heidelberg and larfarge.....but how far into the future I keep asking

This article on Medium makes the same point about Dangote Cement and taxes

https://medium.com/@doubleeph/alhaji-putin-s-republic-a07381caec18

Apparently, some people don't know there is a difference between tax provisioned in the financial statements and the actual tax paid at the end of the day. Dangote Cement's use and abuse of 3 pioneer tax relief has made the company pay an effective tax rate of less than a percent over the last decade
My brother, lets try not to blow hot on ourselves, we are all looking for ways to make this money especially through nse..........The fact that Dangote cement is making so much money should not elate so much wrong emotions which ever way he makes it, we should be looking for ways to key into the flow and get our own double portion as retail investors.............

Small boy make I skool u in Dangote scam

Na biggest scam of Africa ooo

If not for government full support this your so called Dangote group it cannot survive this recession.

If not for government to buy at special rates from Dangote, give huge tax breaks for making one ordinary road, no pressure from authorities that your dang group go collapse face first

Oyinbo ppl know dis na that’s y dem no dey smell that stock...

If you no believe me look at Wapco wey make cement better past Dangote ...no government contract nothin for them oo.

All those other Africa countries u dey mention do u tink them be crazy to come buy mumu cement from dang when wapco get cement better past your cement at cheaper price.

We dey inside one chance now

Buy you bag of cement before dem to raise price inside your local government
95% of sales of cement in Nigeria and sub saharan africa is the 50kg bag cement, which directly is sold to me and you, govt hardly purchase cement. I know you must build or might have built a house ,therefore, Dangote cement will consume a substantial part of the savings of 170 milllion Nigerian Citizenry, he has gotten govt support to do this in Nigeria, i am looking forward for him to replicate it somewhere else in africa.......

His model is already down and best known to him, but do you think he can replicate it in just 2 african countries, the metrics for running his cement operations is public knowledge and very few african governments are ready to invest 100million dollars in the building and operation of a factory talk less of capital intensive operations like cement plants that can gulp up to 1 billion dollars in 3 years.....So granting him tax relief for some time for me is a no brainer after all most presidents run to europe and china begging for foreign investors to come to their land
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by maishai: 10:51pm On Mar 02, 2019
ALL Dangote Pan African Operations are still in loss mode.........Their operations seem to me to be like Normal companies that make losses for a while before breaking even and making profits as compared to their Nigerian operations that immediately start making profit on the commissioning of the plant... How long can this go on, It looks to me like they are not making significant sales unlike their Nigerian operations,,,If Dangote can pull it off and start making Good sales in just 2 foreign countries, I believe he can pay a dividend of #40 in 5 years time......... Do you see this likely happening

From all indication, Buhari is going back for his second term, except otherwise. God knows all and knows why he allowed some certain things.

Any moment between today and tomorrow, the announcement of the winner will take place and the bull will keep on driving NSE to northern pole.
Zenith, Oando, Jberger, Eterna, UBA, e.t.c comes to mind. The presidency of Buhari will favour these stocks

While we are waiting for presidential result tomorrow, let's remember that Buhari has vowed not to congratulate anyone except himself.

What do you think is the meaning of this..........?

To me,Buhari will handover power to the military who will run an interim Govt and conduct a fresh election. Both Buhari and Atiku will not be the party candidiates again.

Pls let Nigerians pray this dream will not come to pass o though malaria is worrying me now..
Nothing will happen, Buhari will do his 8 years on point, the mistake was made 4 years ago to conduct a free and fair election,No ruling party will ever try that again in the history of Africa........ Let us pray that economic indices will favor Nigeria so as not to bear the brunt of our rulers choices.........btw there is no difference between buhari and Atiku they are both power drunk

Thank you Sir,from the statement that read 50k per ordinary share what does that mean?
50k is the base or original price of the stock...........According to the company, a 50k stock earned you a dividend of 30k.......Dont forget you obtained your stock from the secondary market(NSE), so you definitely bought your stock @ a higher price, Someone other than the company(UCAP) sold you the stock.

Elumelu through reduced his holding in transcorp by about 200,000,000 unit between 2017 and 2018, I guess to augument dividend 2017 dividend which just amount to a paltry 20million....... My guess is that he must have sold @ a market high price of #2 to give him #400 million cool cash.......at all at all he sold @ #1 in 2018 and dat gives him #200 million............... cetere paribus Transcorp price can never go below #1 again as this will give Elumelu the opportunity to eat his cake and have it
