As we go into elections, lets start pointing out companies especially financial onstitutions that have political inclinations so that we can guard our investment as retail investors, the likes of tunde ayeni(skye bank), alex otti(diamond bank) will be a constant reminder.......Currently, i hear there are urchins in the insurance sectors vieing for senetorial seats.....House pls expose them now |
veecovee:The urge to take profit on wema is high o! any inside3 info on closed period meeting |

onegentleguy:Yeah right,,,,,I sha know that Root cause analysis is a joke when performed by blacks as evidenced in all places i have worked....l really thank God that the vice president life was not at stake.......Going forward the vice president should please keep patronising Caverton.......I know they will surely get the Helecopters OEM to ascertain the true cause and prevent future occurence |
onegentleguy:Im in wema o!!!!!! The urge to lock in dat profit is too high.......I will probably do it after earnings announcement, I just pray wema makes investors smile if not we are just riding paper profit |
arduino:ARE U SURE WEMA is not out there manipulating their share price, cos if they break investors heart this year by not paying dividend its one way traffic to 50k again |
PETERiCHY:Your best bet is your PVC this election........If you have it, Pls go out and vote on that day,no matter what happens defend your vote....................But I know majority of Nigerians especially southerners will never venture outside the safety of their homes on election day especially if there is sporadic shooting...........funny enough you never put in INEC numbers to report to...... |
whats cooking @ wema guys, any hope they will pay dividend thus year even if it is 1k |
any news on wapco, they should be through with their rights issue by now |
dipoolowoo:Nigerians and our Chop alone mentality, You are the majority shareholder of a company and you are still selling assets to your self, who is deceiving who.......Mr otedola should just come out plain and tell us what he is up to |
vinlyreeks:e ya...,.wrong thread,,,,,,,We are talking how to make our first Billion here that in Naira currency.....one million naira is currently Agbas Newspaper allowance and Peterichy data allowanceHOW DID YOU MAKE YOUR FIRST MILLION? |
Teeonly:This company hardly reports losses o!, the ceo said they have lost their biggest customer, who could that be, and the way he sounded in the chairmans report he is polarised on the outcome of the election, should it go the way they want i might consider them though this stock is xtremely illequid |

OBAGADAFFI:The moment we start seeing and valuing humans as humans we will move forward as a nation, the accident could have involved anybody but the vp was unfortunate to be the one involved this time. ,.. But I still insist that if this issue leads to a revoke of license then no Nigerian company can become great in aviation.......We learn as humans from errors like this |
OBAGADAFFI:It will be a great diservice to d nation if their liecenses are revoked, how can we learn to run big businesses if we crucify them......uk with all technolgy and man power lost 2 aircraft recently..... |
Chibuking81:If I hear, na u go fight the war |

STOjo:#5 million is their minimum opening fee, so the small boys run away |
Mcy56:My brother the devil is in the detail and to perfect strategies to counter little things that might look so trivial e.g. 3 years ago dangsugar declared dividend, i sold all my holdings 3 months after books were closed, no dividend was paid I now have dangsugar which i rebought a year after on enquiry, names might appear the same but anytime u sell all holdings and rebuy ur account number changes, i did not submit ediv form early enough for the old acct no so thats pending.....................That money is hanging somewhere in the financial system earning juicy interest for someone and to retrieve it would be a herculian task.......... |
THOUGH no broker or even nse is yet to offer real time online trading, the charges by the different brokerage houses are still fair in Nigeria compared to other regions.. |
Mcy56:There are disadvantages too especially if you are a dividend hunter....The disadvantage is you will forfeit dividend and bonus that may accrue to you if it were a well to do stock.........I still have some unclaimed dividend and bonus but cant access them because I did not do paper work involved during trading frenzy.....So you see you cant eat your cake and have it, Most stocks traded on NSE by volume are dividend stocks |
A little deviation....... The masses are usually led to forget fundamentals, thats why the black Nation is where it is today,Europe and the Caucasian race became what It is today because the environment there forced them to make things work, If things dont work People die in their droves, rewind back to the middle ages, U will see that a community that does not gather wheat in summer and make bread or sauerkraut will surely die off in winter, the environment forced them to always prepare for winter, The system works in the Europe because Things dont work mass extinction might be staring a people in the face............. Now coming down to Africa,,, especially sub saharan Africa, the fundamentals is different, U see food is so plentiful you can move around the forest or savannah andd find enough to eat, you actually dont need to store anything as this is a waste of time, the biggest problems in Africa is escaping Preditors, from Lions to pythons to Aligators, there is something waiting to make meal out of the African man, the best Solution that came up to ensure survival was Kinship, It is near imposible to survive generation after generation in wild africa as a solitary human. The environment mainly selected for competence in Europe while the environment in Africa selected for Kinship.......... Everybody is just flaring emotions up and down.......How many people can say that If his desired candidate wins that there will be better education for his kids.....How many people are assured that affordable housing is assured come next 4 years Mr Peterichy , Chibuking, Jonathan, Jonadulll et al.........How many of you is sure of paying lesser school fees for your children or house rent come next dispensation......We all know that what goes up can never come down in Africa, So I ask you guys again, can the price of rice ever come down again to #5000.... Abeg make we no abuse ourselves on this thread, we are grown men........Election has never been about us the masses |
Hayyee2002:I think this is New year resolution bull.....It is fueled by retail investors who have just been paid salary and want to cash in on cheap stocks....It will loose steam by next week tuesday |
After the general elections, the next thing on the financial community mind is the next CBN governor....House abeg o.....Update us on the rumor,,,,If na Wigwe go succeed emefiele make i PUt my kife savings for access merger |
currentprice:Where at thou all this while |
aremso:Jim Ovia about to collect #9 billion for 2018, aside all contract and runs he does for zenith bank.......THERE IS GOD O!!!!!! |
Chibuking81:Oando is a stock i want to buy purely in anticipation of bull season.......never for investment purposes....How can a company especially a Nigerian company lock up #400 billion out of #1 trillion (>25%) as intangible assets that never translated to patent , copy rights or trade secret against competitors.......OANDO will definitely make me rich this year, Im buying around election trading days and will sell when i smell the first bull season |
austinkenneth:Africa is a developing continent, with a huge need for infrastructural development (every tom dick and harry is thinking and talking of building something)....Cement happens to be the sole material used for binding in construction, but the nature of cement is such that It is extemely expensive to transport especially by road and the equipement to produce it is also prohibitly expensive......enter chinese technology, the chinese have crashed the procurement of a fully integrated cement plant from about $3 billion to $600 million.......(Dangote was the first to key into this, he now has has about 10 lines in his Nigeria Operations, the opportunity to key into dangote for me is gone).....................CCNN is gathering momentum to take off and Larfarge is on the mark.........You can easily break even in 3 years operating this chinese plants compared to others............High quality Limestone the chief raw material in cement is mainly concentrated in Nigeria along the west african coast, other countries with comparable grade have seen Dangote site production unit in this countries........So the future is CEMENT EXPORT to neighbouring Countries,,,,,,,,,All cement plant locations in Nigeria are situated in Good enough places to supply neighouring countries, also unlike Rice, frozen foods & Vegetable oil, Cement can never be smuggled into country profitably.............I wait to see how this 3 companies will interplay.......Dangote has consistently paid more than #6 dividend the past 5 years.........I will wait for fullyear report from wapco,,,,,Let me see If they are really ready for business or want to continue the mago mago of paying dividend as debt servicing to Parent company...... |
