NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT /MSCI POSITION - FOR 28 DECEMBER 2018

MSCI Nigeria is still saying, why change a good team!!!. No movement in the portfolio yet after the last one of 18 December 2018.

28 December 2018 was a fairly panicky day in the market. All share index back to the old trading range area with 30,542.86 acting as support. I expect the trading range to still hold for the last trading day of the year.Price action for the daily and weekly charts are as shown below.

For Monday 31 December 2018, expected High is 31,529.44 low at 30787.95

Wishing everybody, happy New Year in advance and a prosperous 2019.

From next year, I will start talking about companies that are likely to be takeover/merger candidates. They are many companies that will fall in this category and will be a worthwhile research. Especially when they are trading at a very low point that our maximum loss is within 15% to 20% range. For this I will be posting more in our twitter handle.

Caution: This is for information purpose only. Data used are assumed to be correct. However, you may want to verify the data from an appropriate source. Also, Institutions can afford to suffer big losses without going burst compared with an individual, you cannot follow them blindly (you need to at least have some knowledge/your own plan).
N:B

1. Due to the fact so many new people are coming to this forum and may not know this use of following the “big monies that move markets”, I will be indicating why/how to use the information. This will be a permanent future of my post to reduce some comments which may prevent the people that understand the system from confusion by people who have not followed how this started. My comment for today for anybody who doubts the efficacy of following the fund is to look at my recent recommendations for the past 2 months.

2. The fund will still hold some equity, the terms of service states this. Thus no matter the condition of the market, it will not liquidate to Zero, unless the fund is exiting from the particular Country involved. This is an equity fund investing in the Nigeria market. The date displayed may not be the actual date of purchase/sale of equity (this is legal and allowable under the regulations guiding funds operations in general).

3. You cannot bear losses like the fund. The pocket of the fund is too deep. Therefore, as an individual you are not suppose to be in the market during the stock market crash. Before or during the crash, reduce your holding.

4. If you are seeing this type of data on MSCI Nigeria for the first time. You may need to verify the figures. Go to my previous posts (https://www.nairaland.com/yok/posts), you will see the various sources where the data can be verified. Get us at twitter https://twitter.com/AnalysisTarget

what stops Femi from using forte oil as a vehicle for his refining and marketing, is that not the same business mission......Common shareholders keep suffering in the hands of Nigerian billonaires, Microsoft, Apple and even major iocs keep looking for new ways of making money and @ the end of the day all shareholders smile to the bank not nigerian billonaires, they jump ship and take everything when they have new cash cows( see what Tony has done with UBA,Transcorp and co)........ Nothing remains in forte oil for ordinary shareholder

I am always weary when international companies want to sell of assets, none of them sell off their cash cows, for shell to willingly dispose of an oil bloc that other foreign international companies are not jostling to bid on sends a signal that its probably an asset in distress....Oando comes to mind, when they wanted to acquire the much celebrated conoco philip asset, we thought we were heading to the next level, but hind sight now tell us that oando was duped in broad day light

Is WAPCO share price protesting against the planned rights issue?
Abeg, do what the shareholders are not ready to do.
May our paths cross below the great blue sea... grin
Thank God for this forum, i had to go back and crunch numbers wapco has over 200billion as debt and are coming 2nd time for 82billion right issue.... Money that a whole UACN cannot gather in a year as revenue.......This is not a company for investors, I was blinded previously by their hugh revenue....even after getting their 82billion they will still need life line.......My question to my bosses is how come they arrived @ this point for a company that holds so much promise and what are they promising the would be investor(most probably a politician) that will give them 82billion.. it is on record that Dangote cement Obajana plant (just one line) gave birth to all his other cement plant operations both in and out of Nigeria, now Larfarge that keeps paying technical service fee to France cannot give value to share holders
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by maishai: 1:45pm On Dec 04, 2018
Pa elewummi should give me his analysis of wapco, first right issue was over subscibed @ #44, the foreign investor went as far as buying up retail investors rights that were not taken, now another rights issue, most probably to be oversubscibed and the lead foreign investor will acquire all retail investors rights............I just wished I knew the game they are playing, something big is cooking up @ wapco

NIGERIA STOCK MARKET GENERAL COMMENT EXPECTED HIGH AND LOW TRADING RANGE FOR 28 NOVEMBER 2018

The bear has taken over for this week with the second day for the week ending up in the red.

But, just observed that MSCI Nigeria entered the market yesterday. Is this a sign that the stocks are oversold? Let us keep watching how the rest of the week will play out. Zenith,Unilever and FBN seem to be the 1st equities in their shopping list. Confirmed from https://www.globalxfunds.com/funds/nge/. There is the probability that morning star may still be showing Monday figures, therefore you can see the movements.

For Wednesday 21 October 2018 expected High is 31,718.98 low at 31,501.38

In view of the fact that some additional information on our postings will now be added, you can check our twitter handle “Target Technical Analysis”.

I don't like insult, as well I don't like insulting people, please next time choose a better word, you can communicate your message without using offensive words.

I never fool any person here, or intended to fool any. When I use the word like bear and bonanza, I don't just mention them without stating the factors that will cause it.

There are many factors I sighted, with election been the dominating factor among the various factors. Have you ask why the increase in Tbill? When the demand become low, government will increase the price to attract more demand, and when the demands become high the price will reduce.

Election has a great role to play; it makes foreign investors to bailed out from the market, due to fear of unknown, once after election with all things been equal you will see them returning one by one.

Banks at this stage will restrict the rate of loan giving to their customers, due to fear of any possible change of government, which at this point, the expectation is very high. Everyone are at alert, even contractors and business men reduces the level of their financial exposure to government, they prefer pay before service now, and pay at point of delivery.

Remember, I still maintain that many factors will be responsible for the bonanza period with election been the chief factor.

Many things has change from the time I started announcement of bonanza period till this period, ASI was close to 40,000, today ASI is 32,000 and still heading Southward.

Buying times two of the unit with the same amount as some few months ago will give one, times two of dividend from the same company come March 2019. cool
