Nigeria is facing it at the North East, North West, North Central, Southern part kidnapping and killing........ How long of these sad news, we're deliberating recession/tax inflation, restructuring but the worst news of killing surface....... Other, some developed country couldn't help us cos they did not help creating the problem and couldn't offer Solutions, but I believe in God, I believe in Nigeria, I believe Nigerian and I believe we can stand against our challenges, against insecurity, nepotism, lawlessness, hypocrisy, tribalism, religious of deception and fight same course, same good objectives/aim, we have large human resources who are ready to lay their very life for the nation but still we never have enough security men, and enemies are rejoicing..... I pray one day Government and big organization won't be paying terrorist to not come near them, intimidation and fear of terrorist expand deir territory and the ruins ........its not to late For Nigeria to be in charge of the National affairs, but far too late when citizens absolutely lost trust in leaders, unity, and resort to self defense... #NigeriaWillBeGreat@gain

obembet: The Kano state government dethroned Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll on Monday over disrespect to the office of the governor and other government agencies. Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll, who was named the new emir of Kano in June 2014, spent 5 years, 6 months and 26 days on the throne.
Before his appointment as the emir, Sanusi ll served as the central bank governor. He raised accusations of high-level fraud and corruption within the Nigeria’s petroleum industry, alleging that $20bn (£12bn) in oil revenue was missing.
The governor of the state has been at loggerhead with Emir Sanusi II, leading to the creation of additional four new emirates in the state and several probes by both the state lawmakers and Kano anti-graft commission.
Below is a timeline of the crisis Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll has been involved in:
February 20th, 2014: Sanusi Lamido Sanusi got suspended as the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria after his fraud claim, by the then President Goodluck Jonathan.
February 25th, 2014: Sanusi sued Former President Goodluck Jonathan over his removal as head of the CBN.
June 9th, 2014: Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll was named the new emir of Kano after the demise of his predecessor, Al-Haji Ado Bayero who ruled since 1963.
June 10th 2014: Security operatives allegedly ordered by Former President Goodluck Jonathan, sealed off the Emir’s palace which forced Malam Muhammadu Sanusi ll, to remain in the government house in ‘President Naseer Lodge’ to receive all the personalities that trooped to congratulate him.
If he has been suspended by president and dethroned my governor then Mr sanusi need extra wisdom not to be arrested my local government chairman, or been judge by village head
what goes around comes around, u joined people to brought down Jonathan $20billion missed, after u suspension u covered yourself with turbans claimed emir sorry dey northern brother in ur next generation avoid hypocrisy....... Do what u preach......
“And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, who, when disaster strikes them, say, ‘Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.’ Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.” (Q. 2:155-157).
Here again, we see the theme of patience come up. This set of verses highlights this life is only a temporary realm, and it is supposed to contain difficulty. The true, everlasting peace is with God in the afterlife for those who spent their lives following His commands. This verse becomes especially relevant at the time of a person’s death. When hearing of someone’s passing, a Muslim responds with quoting the above verse by saying, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”
O You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of satan. He is an outright enemy to you.” (Holy Quran: 2, 208 “You cannot guide those you would like to but God guides those He wills. He has best knowledge of the guided.” (Holy Quran 28: 56)

So I'm an aspiring medical student. I've been at home since 2016 till date. I wrote JAMB 4 Times. The first score was 196, second was 203, third was 210 and I worked harder and got 218 this year.
Yes it is not enough because I'm an average student hoping to study pharmacy in university of Uyo but I got my first admission from Obong University Uyo to study biochemistry and I agreed but honestly I hate the course. It has no relationship with what I want to do.
Now I'm scared of never getting to study what I really want.
Is there anyway I can study pharmacy because I can't do transfer and change my course?
Jerryembassy91: A 50-year-old man has been jailed for life for raping a 19-month-old baby girl who required corrective surgery for the injuries she sustained.
Mzingisi James Ntshontshi was jailed for life this week by Port Elizabeth high court judge Irma Schoeman for the rape on August 12, 2018.
The judge described his actions as “abhorrent, wicked and perverse” and said the ordeal had devastating consequences for the toddler.
According to testimony led during the trial, the child's mother, who worked at a bakery in St Francis Bay, had left her in the care of a woman who shared a house with in Ntshontshi. The female carer, in turn, left the child with the accused, when she went to buy alcohol at about 7am at a nearby shebeen.
Before she could return, the child was found half-clothed, bloody and bruised in the bushes about 100m away from the house by members of the community at about 4pm that day.
Humansdorp hospital's Dr. LM Mabaso, who examined the toddler, told the court that due to the severity of the injuries, she had immediately consulted with a specialist at Dora Nginza Hospital and the little girl had been rushed to Port Elizabeth for corrective surgery.
A medical report filed before sentencing described the enduring physical and psychological problems affecting the child. Her rapist was also ordered to pay for her corrective surgery from behind prison bars.
The worried mother of the child who sent her daughter away to live with family members after the incident told the court of her guilt.
“After it happened I saw her once because I separated myself from her ... when I look at her or when (a relative) sends me a picture of her, then I have the image of when she was raped,” the mother said.
No doubt death penalty, this offence is bigger than hate speech, but if the judge wish to tamper Justice with mercy, the man should pay a fine to the parent of the baby #5m and then sent to life imprisonment with hard labour

fergie1989: A magistrate court in Kano has remanded a student of Bayero University Kano over a Facebook post criticising a state lawmaker.
Yahuza Tijjani, a second-year student in the Department of Science and Technology Education, has been held since September 30 after he was arrested by the police in Madobi Local Government Area, his brother, Murtala Tijjani, told us Mr Tijjani said his younger brother spent seven days at the Police ‘Zone 1’ regional headquarters in Kano and the state criminal investigation department before he was sent to jail by the magistrate.
The lawmaker, Kabiru Is’mail, and the Tijjanis are natives of Madobi Local Government Area. A group loyal to the lawmaker had earlier attacked the student, Mr Tijjani, on Facebook, the brother said.
“We are more concerned that the student may be expelled from the university for missing the whole semester examination while being in jail,” he said. “We fear that he would continue being in jail as we have exhausted seeing all the personalities we know yet we cannot secure his released.”
In the Facebook post seen by PREMIUM TIMES, Mr Tijjani, in an apparent reference to the lawmaker who he did not mention by name, said in Hausa, “You know he’s not well educated, as a result of which he doesn’t know how to calculate figures. He said 1230, he later said 1500 and at the ended saying 2000.”
In another post, Mr Tijjani said, “I pray to God almighty that the election petition tribunal [will] declare the election of state’s assembly member representing Madobi as inconclusive”.
The Court
The brother also narrated how Mr Tijjani was denied bail and sent to jail on day one after he was charged with defamation of character before the magistrate, Aminu Gabari of Court 72 in Noman’s Land in Fagge local government area.
He said a week later the judge granted Mr Tijjani bail on strict conditions they were unable to meet.
“Whenever the judge slated time for the case, he wouldn’t come, this makes us suspicious that the judiciary, the last hope for Mr Tijjani has been compromised,” he said.
“The last time we saw the judge he told us that the case has been transferred to the office of the state’s chief judge; there’s nothing he can do about it. We rushed to the Ministry of Justice to see the chief judge; we were denied access to him.”
When contacted, the lawmaker representing Madobi state constituency, Kabiru Isma’il, told us Tuesday that the student offended him through the Facebook post and he reported the matter to the authorities. He said no human would allow the offender to walk free without taking appropriate measures.
“I was offended, instead of taking the law into my hand, I decided to invite the police because I don’t have the power to arrest,” Mr Isma’il said.

A medical doctor observing his mandatory one-year national service at a Nigerian Airforce base in Lagos has taken to micro-blogging platform, Twitter to describe how he was assaulted by three men of the Nigerian Airforce.
The doctor, who claimed that one of the men, called Idris, had harrased him a couple of times previously, said all he did was try to buy food at the Officers Mess after working all weekend long, so he could eat and rest.
According to him, Idris had sworn that he would make his life a living hell from the first day he reported at his post, and has continued his targeted harassment in spite of being reported to the authorities on several occasions.
It took the intervention of a superior ranked officer before Idris and his gang, who were mostly on mufti, stopped beating the doctor according to his account. He's currently being treated by his colleagues at the barracks clinic.
