Royruky:My point exactly. I'm guessing they got carried away by the hype and priced the phone way too highly, forgetting that chinco na chinco even if e carry snapdragon 920.. at least, samsung phones guarantee resale value. |
Royruky:The price proves prohibitive bro. Imagine having to spend almost 150k on the pro version--same amount as I had budgeted for two pieces. I'd much rather go for the S6. |
Niece piece! Not just the Igbos, we should preach tolerance and the benefits of coexistence to all, regardless of tribe and religion. Unfortunately, threads as these never make front page. Lalasticlala ooo, abeg food don dey cold tey tey for here. |

Mods, food is ready, biko. Lalasticlala, mynd44, obinoscopy. |
This pretty much echoes the sentiment of Most Buharists.

Thanks, OP for making me see this from a different perspective. And if the union bodies did embark on strike without consulting with the workers, then, it's safe to think that there are interests they are trying to protect--which of course, isn't national! Anything for a better structure! |

This government has a reputation for making unsubstantiated claims. They allege something today, the next moment it's refuted. It spells a dent on their image and makes a mockery of the system. |
Power generation in this country be like pendulum. It swings up and down quite easily. ![]() |
Psalm18:Thanks, sir. Couldn't review before posting. |
The way things are going, one might wake up one morning to discover that they've been locked indoor, with their rights taken, citing a successful sale of country. .Truth is, Mr president sometimes does things haphazardly. No clear template as to what direction(s) you intend going, then, without recourse to law or due consultations with stakeholders, you unbundle what's been bundled for years and expect those affected to not react? That's akin to stealing their rights, man. It's a government job, public purse runs the business... not some private enterprise! Much as the unbundling seems good from where I'm standing, government policy should be consistent with a defined roadmap, and if at any point there's need for restructuring, due process be followed. |
cckris:They may have been defeated, but like a dying python falling anything it can reach, they'll want to take as many people as possible along. May God guide our soldiers and officers! |
Comedy central! . Reminds me of my early days in the uni when dad had to first approve of any withdrawal before I could proceed. When you come off as inept, naive and reckless, you inadvertently set yourself up for monitoring. Pesin wey no gree sabi road needs directing na, shey? |
joseph1832:Did you really mean that or were only being sarcastic? |
If this were some bashing thread, it'd have long been frontage news. @ lalasticlala, mynd44, obinoscopy. |
ycat: ![]() You did raise one valid point, albeit in the wrong tone fraught with bad mannerism. The rest was sheer balderdash. Obviously, there wasn't any mention or expression of regrets over the mile 12 incident. But that's not to say that most people on here approve of, condone or encourage any such acts of irresponsibility. People are what/who they are, I've seen good, bad and ugly people among most tribes I've come across, should I then classify everyone else in a category owing to the activities of a misguided few? You came on here, not to seek understanding, but to throw diatribes and tantrums like some spoilt kid. You were too eager to criticise much so that you couldn't even read the thread for what it is. It's a shame, really! |
ycat:Really? You're super unbelievable! That was lame, but it's a free world. In your next life, please, seek understanding and discernment, it seems like you're skew-sighted! |
Mods, please do justice to this thread. @ seun, lalasticlala, mydn44, obinoscopy |
. More of such news! The battle shall be won! These beasts have taken way too many lives. When caught, they should be thrown to those hungry Lions in the Jos zoo. |
ItsMeAboki:You're derailing the thread. It costs you nothing to reason before you post. Bad thing is, you seem soundly educated, yet, look how unthoughtful your comment was. Intolerance is why the north is as it is today. Please try putting humanity first before any subscriptions or allegiance to regions and persons. |
Lalasticlala, seun, mynd44, obinoscopy... this thread is deserving of front page. Thanks! |
State: Plateau, North Central, Nigeria. State of Residence: Anambra (Awka). Having stayed in the east for a while now, it's safe to say that there's a misrepresentation of the Igbo image online, especially here on nairaland. Contrary to what most people think, a vast majority of Igbos are friendly and worry only about how to better their lots. They are not as hateful & begrudging, and bear no ill will towards anyone. They are adventurous, hardworking, and persevering. The Yorubas for me, are excellence personified. You could count up to 5 rights about them before you find a fault. The Hausas are nice, accommodating, friendly, helpful and hospitable. NB: there's nothing I'd like more than for us all to preach tolerance to everyone. The volatility of the North is what drives investors away, especially religious intolerance. We are our own problem. Education is key. The potentials are there, no doubt, but we ought to rewrite our history, redefine our paths and seek better alternatives than resort to any vice at all. |
The doom and gloom merchants who denigrate their own country would not like this. Fire on, naija! May we get it right someday! |
Clerverly:If you see the condition of the Onitsha-Enugu express road eh, you'll weep! I ply the road twice each fortnight and tend to wonder why discerning humans could lie even to themselves, all in a bid to defend a man who has long accepted defeat. |
This can't be true. But should he be harbouring the thoughts, someone should please inform him it's a terrible idea and will be the "wrongest" move he ever made in his entire career. In this age and time, prosperity is driven by technology and commerce. All hands must be on deck to nurture our own experts, pioneers and innovators. What better way to start than by making education even more attractive? India is making headway and achieving giant strides in telecommunications, health, technology, and a vast other sectors, wonder why Nigeria cannot achieve or attempt to replicate same template. We have all the resources required to succeed, just put the structures in place. |
. When it concerns men and marriage, money isn't even a means to an end, much less an end in itself. Psychology proved that when people are unable to have the one thing that they so much desire, they'll talk it down in order to make it seem worthless. Men don use this one do badminton finish! Oya come and buy it, shey na toy? ![]() |
We don't want the same for Nigeria! |
If nothing, we should be thankful that those people were kicked out of government just in time to salvage whatever was left of the economy. Imagine that GEJ and cohorts are still running at this period of dwindling oil revenue. Nigeria would have... well, it's better not imagined! |
GodpunishBuhari:Hatred for a man who isn't even aware of your existence can only consume you. Free your mind from hate! |
Youngzedd:Alright bro. Thanks a lot for your input. I saw that you're following the device as well. Please kindly inform a brother when it hits the market. |
KuliMart:Can you alert me when you have it in store? I need the Mi 5 pro. Saw somewhere that it goes for between 25000-30000 Indian rupees. That should cost 87,000 naira at an exchange rate of 1 rupee = 2.90 naira. I will be needing two. Thanks! |
