hotmomma:Lol. Honestly, I don't know how I cope. My husband has complained tire say na so so sleep I dey sleep during the weekend, I just don't mind him. I cannot come and die. I go work work from Monday till Friday. I will now be working again on Saturday and Sunday. Impossible ![]() One thing I have learnt is "Do what you can and leave the rest." Do not overwork yourself. This morning, I when my alarm went off, I snoozed it and eventually woke up 45 mins later. I still had to pump and get myself ready, get the baby ready, drop the baby off and drive one hour to work. I just pumped and got ready, grabbed the sleeping baby like that and dropped him off at the sitter still in his pajamas. Make she dey deal with am like that. Once you start work, try and do things the night before. Pack the baby's bottle, bag and your bag and paraphernalia together. You can even place them in the car too. Saves you time the next morning. Then try and sleep early, cos if you don't, you will be exhausted and that will slow you down the next morning. And will also make you sluggish at work as well. I don't eat breakfast so no need to make breakfast. Get into a routine and with time it will be second nature to you. |
Lmao. Is she related to you? Abi why are you crying more than the bereaved?! You honestly think she is going to read this? Lmao. Nawa. You really have a lot of time on your hands. Carry another person matter for head like gala and leave your own matters pending. You go balance ![]() |
nefertitiram:And I also aired mine. Who is we? We ...Americans. Did you vote? Cos I was curious about how you knew Americans wanted him. Trump's your guy, congratulations. I hope you get to lodge in that penthouse and I certainly hope he makes America great again by stopping birth tourism altogether. I bet we can both agree on that. Lol ![]() |
nefertitiram:Nope. We don't want and we didn't vote for him. He actually lost the popular vote and is sitting in the White House due to the intricacies of the electoral college system and Russia (maybe) It's all propaganda until someone or a loved one is affected. It's visa holders and Muslims now, next it might be anchor babies, green card holders and even Africans. #JustSaying |
beejay112:With the immigration issues going on in America right now, commuting insurance fraud is the last thing that should be on my mind. You told them self pay at the POE and I believe you had money to pay for your childbirth b fore you left Nigeria. Don't let a few thousand dollars bar you from future entrance into this country. Not worth the stress. |
Chirolechick:Then unquote her post too. She already modified her post, but it's still visible cos you quoted her! |
sugah:Sugah, long time babe. How have you been? I thought I was the only one that still has a four month old that poops at least twice a day even though I know it's normal for them not to poop everyday while on breastmilk. My baby is a master "grunter" (is that even a word? ) and he started when he was around 3 weeks. I was concerned about it before but now it doesn't bother me anymore. Sometimes he goes days without grunting. Sometimes he grunts nonstop like a Hog. I don leave him to do as he wants ![]() |
Chanbaby:The choice of clothing and diapers depends on your preference and also budget. Also your baby's sensitivity to different diapers. I got a lot of different brands from my baby shower and luckily my baby has not reacted to any one. Let me try and categorize them according to price range for you. DIAPERS Less Expensive: Huggies Snug and Dry, Pampers Baby Dry, Luvs, Parent's Choice (Walmart Brand), Up and Up (Target Brand), Kirkland Supreme (Cosco Brand) More Expensive: Pampers Swaddlers, Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive, Huggies Little Snugglers Most Expensive: Seventh Generation, Pampers Premium Care, Honest, Huggies Pure and Natural. |
Nobody chased Onegai and nobody attacked her. She has better things to concentrate on this year, because Hello!!! This thread is not paying her bills or putting food on her table. She has the right to do whatever pleases her. Onegai, Happy New Year Hun, I hope this year favors you and your loved ones. Drop by from time to time, ya hear |
envynot:Why don't you post with your regular moniker instead of hiding behind an alt account? It reeks of cowardice and fear. Post with your regular moniker or forever shut the hell up and stop stirring trouble where there is none, coward!! |
Chanbaby:Yes, there is the convertible carseats that can be used from birth up until 4 or 6 years (not sure). The choice pretty much depends on your choice, preference and pretty much your wallet. I chose the infant seat because I want ease of access. I didn't wanna have to disturb my baby by taking him out of the seat while asleep after a car ride. It is easier for me to just remove the seat from its base and carry or snap into a stroller. But that will be impossible with a convertible carseat. Also, infants are supposed to ride in a carseat facing backwards until they're 2 years old in the State of California and I'm not sure how a convertible carseat will work out rear facing, I didn't even wanna try (I'm sure its gonna be uber awkward)so I went for the infant seat. The problem there is that I will have to buy a convertible seat when he's 2 years old and probably a booster seat when he is around 5 or 6 and that really sucks cos of the finances involved. But hey, safety is key. Hope that helps. |
feddy27:Sis, actually no. She can use both an infant seat or convertible car seat to take her newborn home. The nurses are only required to check if she indeed has a car seat, the car seat meets the weight expectations of the baby and the seat is correctly installed. |
nicoleswizzi:Sent ma'am. I could only find the 15% off one though. I will look for the second one when I wake up in the morning. I'm not entirely sure, but I think you can use the coupon at either Carter's or Oshkosh B'gosh. You can check them out. |
nicoleswizzi:If you need coupons for extra 25% off Carter's stuff, let me know. I have one or two lying around the house and I don't think I'll use it. |
jazzyjazz:You're right. Ergobaby is very very strong. I don't have any fears when using it because it is very sturdy and holds baby well.... I can use my hands for other things while using it. I'm sure it's the exchange rate that affected the prices of everything and made it all so expensive. |
Sixx:Maybe because they feel the material is too flimsy to hold baby well without falling or the carrier's design made the weight of the baby rest solely on the carrier's shoulder and not evenly distributed as it should be. That's why its essential to check out the straps and buckles of the carrier before buying. Ergobaby 360, and one thing I like about it is the it's very study. The straps are rock solid and the buckles are very good too. But I didn't find it on Jumia or Konga. Carriers are very efficient for me. Especially when I need to do stuff or go to places that require my hands free and I can't push the stroller various carriers are discussed here: http://www.babygearlab.com/Best-Baby-Carrier |
#ThingsIMissAsAMom 1. SLEEP!!! This boy always manage to interrupt my sleep at least once overnight. I've never been able to binge sleep like I used to do 2. Making new hairstyles all the time. I bought a very expensive Malaysian weave over Thanksgiving break and up until this moment, I have not made it to the stylist to get it installed. The braids I have on ehn, e don tey ![]() 3. Picking up and just going. I used to be able to to just pick up and go with hubby before but now I can't. I can pack a carryon and it'll fit my stuff. Now, reverse is the case. We will all be flying out of town next week and thinking of all the stuff Im gonna pack and carry for him just gives me headache and anxiety. How do I navigate an airport with a three month old? How much stuff do I even carry for him? 4. Making up my face! God knows I'm a makeup junkie. I like to beat my face But ever since he came around, I've not been able to do that. I don't even know where most of my makeup are. They're scattered between each bathroom, the bedroom and my car. 5. Shopping for myself. I used to enjoy shopping for myself but now, all I seem to do is buy stuff for him and neglect myself. 6. Going to Naija parties and staying till 2am. Lord knows that's when does Naija parties are lit! But now, I don get oga, we leave my 9pm or earlier if the spirit leads my boss to start crying out of tiredeness. 7. Staying for ages in the shower. I have kind of solved this issue sha. I take him into the shower with me, and thankfully he LOVES water! He will just cuddle and sleep while the shower sprays over him. But it's not fun anymore after 10mins of holding a 15lbs baby in the shower ![]() 8. I miss waking up to go to work by 6:30am and still make it on time. If I wake up by 6:30am now, na 10am I go get to work ![]() |
sugah:Chaiii. My sister no vex oo. Ayam sorry. I actually got a text from T-mobile telling me my 30mins was over and I was like "what are these ones saying?" Cos I have unlimited local talk and texts. I did not know I was consuming your airtime. No vex ![]() |
Bisoye82:Aunty Bisoye, abeg no vex for me Women are indeed the salt of the world. We endure so much and still some men will abuse the women in their lives. God bless us all. |
Sugah, I seee you online. What happened to your phone m? I tried calling back and it was telling me plenty stories in English. ![]() |
so make dem ban me join? What I do? Make I jejely resume sleep, morning go soon come. ![]() |
iomoge, When I saw the post last night, me sef shock. Talmbout, you're insane, your head is not correct and all sorts cos the woman admitted to beating her 6 month old. I no wan wahala that was why I didn't reply last night. Plus I was tired and sleepy. Like they say, if you have nothing good to say, don say anything. Me sef get choice words for the mama wey dey beat her pikin, but there are ways to tell her what she's doing is bad than the way she said it. Helovesme is not feeding the poster, neither is she her younger sis or maid. Have some respect dude! Criticize her but don't belittle her. Frustration can lead even the best mom to do bad things. Let her know what she did was bad without sounding like you're her lord and personal savior. Gosh. And if we talk now, she'll say she lives in an advanced country kinikan kinikan. Me sef dey live for advanced country. Stop using Child Protective Services to scare people. Shebi you have to prove to CPS that someone is abusing her child, or you think you can just go there and tell them mama something is abusing her child and they will just go and arrest her? Oshisko. Abegi! Talmbout tracing IP and shit. Lmao. No be the same CPS?? they have enough wahala than to deploy FBI to search for one random woman on NL. And I don't condone beating children in any way. MummyGwen please for God's sake, stop beating that child. It's not right and you should never let your anger and frustrations to make you do such things. I'm begging you. If she will take breastmilk. Give her that and keep coaxing her to eat little by little. With time she will adjust. Me sef that has been living her since, I no dey gree try new food, I'll rather stick with my Nigerian cuisine not to talk of a 6month old baby that's still exploring. Pele |

mydeporch:I had/have the same problem of inverted nipplés. I used nipplé shields at first and I've got both the Medela and the Lansinoh ones but I prefer the Medela ones because they're so soft(silicon) and almost skin like. I searched Konga for you, but they only have the Avent and Tommee Tippee ones. Maybe you should give it a try. After a while the nipplés will be out a little bit and try getting him/her to latch without. I have started weaning mine off the shield, sometimes I succeed in getting him to latch without, sometimes I don't. Its a gradual process. |
iomoge2:I know right? |
zaynie:Me sef, I'm not understanding what could have caused that thing oo. Dem pour am hot water for stomach abi na 7 children she born? If I knew her, I'll just advise plastic surgery, but I don't even know if that one will help sef. Women dey try! |
zimunachimdi:I swear. Na for midnight I see the pic. I shouted when I see am. |
Liftedhands:Good morning sis! So nice to hear from you! I guess I need to show this pic to someone then. She's about to have three baby in under three years. |
Godmother:Your reaction was same as mine when I saw it too! |
I'm sorry if this is offensive ( I'll take it down after a while) but just look at what pregnancy can do to a woman. My husband sent this to me last night and was asking if this was for real. I won't lie, it made me itch all over and made my skin crawl. Abeg, what could have caused this? Could carrying multiples cause this?? Jeez!!!!! Abeg make una no vex for the pic. I just thought to share and hear your opinions
