Buhari has never initiated any positive idea, movement or organization to better the lives of northerners. None is on record. Clearly with a meagre allowance, it would not make national impact but I can assure u he did few in his homestead Katsina and daura. queensmith: absolutely, the government fail to provide the needs of any Nigerian, but given the position of the communities within the oil producing areas they at least deserve the extra attention. The type paid to Abuja and Lagos for example.
Whoever takes on the role should have complete empathy for the individuals in the community and apart from the manifesto I haven't seen any evidence from the aspirants. We can rule Jonathan out especially given he is one of them - he's clearly more interested in politics than social mobilisation. I totally agree with u on that considering the fact that the region has been neglected for far too long. This is the major flaws of the current president. I expected that him been from the region should u/stand the suffering of the people in the region and also u/stand the suffering of the poor considering he is also from the low income earners then. I should believe he knows these problems of the low income earners and do something. These does not mean am judging him cos I believe every person 1way or the other has something to offer his people, the difference is always the impact it has on the people. For me though, it's goin to be APC. |

Sweetguy25: Buhari is a man they can trust? Is that all Buhari can offer the north? A worthless piece of intangible human emotion! This is a man who is in a favorable position as a former leader to influence positive change in the life of his fellow northerners, of whom majority are dirt poor and illiterate. The northerners can do better than this. . .
All he does is contest elections - whenever he loses, his people commit violent acts in his name. Human lives and property is lost and never rebuilt or regained.
That is the height of ignorance and idiocy Assuming he tries to meet the corrupt leaders in the north currently in government to provide school, security of life and they don't cos of their corrupt nature. What should he do? By the way he is not the only humble leader who even if he speaks he wld not be listened to. We hav shagari, shonekan etc. Wld the current politicians listen to them, if the tell them to do the right it as leaders. Think pls. God bless Nigeria and every place else. |

udyheart01: I still find it surprising that Buhari's wife could donate N137 million to internally displaced persons (IDP) in Adamawa, an action she has never done before. I have spent over N3000 recharge cards calling people in Katsina State if she has ever donated common mats to a mosque, but the answer remains No. She has never given any financial help publicly that I know of, but all from the moon, she brings out this evil donation. How did she get this money when her husband, Muhammadu Buhari borrowed N27 million just to pick the APC presidential form? This Greek gift is totally unacceptable, condemnable and not to be tolerated in our democracy. We should not encourage emergency donors who bring money during elections just to deceive the populace. She has her home state, where she could have made donations to, but she didn't, and went to faraway Adamawa to give. This is hypocrisy taken too far, a faux and a big media goof. Whoever advised her in Buhari's media team have only succeeded in taking away some integrity and current shine that Buhari enjoys and I hope my friends in the media committee takes note. We cannot condemn the PDP, while APC scream hypocritical change to us. What manner of change is this? Charity begins at home and it must begin long before now. Madam, your gift is not accepted even in heaven. Op Try to do your research very well before Airing ur points. I don't mean to spoil ur efforts but try to cover all angles before tabling ur points to the general public. I have no idea why Mrs Buhari is making donation now and even if she did am sure it's under the alias of APC leaders wives or something cause on the day of Donation they were all around her and am also sure that they all contributed to get 137m(APC leaders wives). Also you should know that Mrs Buhari is from Adamawa and not Katsina as pointed out by you. She's the daughter of the Galadimma Adamawa when GMB married her. The point am trying to make here is do your research properly before making it public. In anyway, GOD Bless her for donating the little they have in the APC without branding it as the PDP have been doing but did not call that evil. It's Mrs Buhari donation that's evil. This is hypocrisy don't u think. GOD Bless APC GOD Bless Nigeria. We need dat Change. |

hillsate: Dear Nigerians, All the attacks on Buhari as we approach February 14th is a pointer to the fact that he is giving Jonathan a good run for his money. All the issues being raised against him is not any issues at all. The religion propaganda, region propaganda, and now certificate are really not issues. All that is needed to contest for presidency is a secondary school cert which is recorded for him on INEC portal even though we are aware he has beyond that. The only angle that will really matter is if any corruption allegation can be levelled against him and proven and obviously from all the rantings against him no one has been able to do that. Buhari rather has accolades all over for his stand on corruption. Our greatest challenge in Nigeria is not religion, regional, or education, our greatest challenge is CORRUPTION. It is quite unfortunate that the present PDP govt did not show any commitment on fighting corruption. We are only getting to hear the PDP presidential candidate say what he will fight corruption when re-elected. Dear Nigerians, Let's look closely at the two prominent candidates and what should form basis for our choice should be on one that has proven record on fighting corruption and is ready to keep the fight on. If we tackle corruption, any other challenge we have will naturally fizzle out. Let's make the right choice please and let's stop baseless propaganda. Wen ur straight forward, No matter what is levelled against u, the truth vindicates u. That's all. |

A senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ogun East, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has disclosed that arrangement has been made to equip all party agents in all the 1130 polling units in the senatorial district as well as party coordinators with telephone handsets during the coming general elections.
He disclosed this weekend at a meeting with the leadership of the party at Ode in Ikenne Local Government Area of the state. The senatorial candidate explained that the communication facilities would assist the agents to monitor the elections in their respective areas and inform the party secretariat about the happenings on the spot.
According to Abiodun, this is part of strategies being put in place to check any form of electoral fraud that any party or individuals may plan to perpetrate during the polls, adding that the measure would also enhance the party’s efforts to collate its result at each polling booth to checkmate any attempt to falsify or doctor the actual results.
He revealed that there would be certain special numbers that would be given to the party agents and coordinators through which they would communicate with the team in charge of monitoring and collation of election results.
“We are going to equip our party agents in all the 1130 polling booths in Ogun East Senatorial District as well as all party coordinators to be able to communicate with the leadership of the party and the party team that would be monitoring and collating the election results.
“We are doing this so that the peoples’ votes would not be undermined by those who want to force themselves on the people and undermine the electoral process,” Prince Abiodun said. He, however, charged the people of the state to go out en masse on the election day and vote for him and all APC candidates from the presidential, governorship and down to the state assembly assuring them that the election would be given a hi-tech attention to forestall any plan to rig so that their votes would count. They shld do thesame for other states GOD bless Nigeria and everyplace. Else |
