Sai BABA BUHARI Down Looter Atiku! |
The federal government yesterday indicated that it was targeting a tighter fiscal plan next year, with a projected budget of N8.65 trillion in 2019. This was disclosed the minister of budget and national planning, Udo Udoma, during a public consultation on the 2019-2021 Medium Term Fiscal Framework and Strategy in Abuja. The federal government explained that it would cut the budget from N9.12 trillion in 2018 to N8.65 trillion in 2019. This, it said, is predicated on the need to ensure prudence, reduce deficit and borrowing while laying greater emphasis on revenue drive. The federal government also said it wanted to reduce the amount of borrowing to finance the nation’s budget deficit in the proposed 2019 fiscal year. According to the government’s 2019-2021 Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF), the government will cut deficit in the 2019 budget draft from N1.9 trillion in 2018 to N1.6 trillion in 2019. LEADERSHIP Friday reports that there had been calls on the federal government to reduce its borrowing and pay more attention to internal revenue generation from the non-oil sector. While approving the federal government’s borrowing request on Wednesday, the Nigerian Senate re-emphasised the earlier call by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to either halt or slow down its debt accumulation. https://leadership.ng/2018/10/19/fg-proposes-n8-6trn-budget-for-2019/ |

A 22-year old boy was feared dead as supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clashed at Gawon Nama area in Sokoto state on Saturday. The deceased who was identified as Imrana Ahmad Alkanchi was said to have been hit by a stray bullet at the scene of the clash. It was alleged that some political thugs loyal to the APC attempted to block Governor Tambuwal’ s convoy passing through Gawon Nama area where the house of APC leader and former governor of the state AlIyu Magatakarda Wamakko is located. Tambuwal who was returning to Sokoto for the first time since he lost out at the PDP national convention was received by a mammoth supporters who thronged Sultan Abubakar III International Airport as early as 10am. A long motorcade of the Governor’s convoy and supporters took over the major roads of the metropolis driving to the government house where the governor was expected to address the supporters. A cousin of the deceased and Information officer of the state University, Zayyanu Shehu confirmed the death, adding that the boy was waiting for Okada as he was sent to buy something at Gawon Nama market when the bullet hit him. When contacted, the spokesperson of the Sokoto state police Command, DSP Cordelia Nwewe said the matter is under investigation.https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/one-feared-killed-as-supporters-of-apcpdp-clash-in-sokoto.html Mynd44 lalasticlala oam4j |
PDP LOOTERS ASSOCIATION

The federal government on Friday released a list of some people who it claimed allegedly laundered money in the previous administration. Minister of Information, Lai Mohammad, released the list during a press conference in Lagos on Friday, a statement by his assistant, Segun Adeyemi reads. The minister noted that PDP’s challenge prompted FG to take the move adding that the names in the list include PDP chieftains who are currently being tried for corruption and financial crimes. “The PDP has challenged us to name the looters under their watch. They said they did not loot the treasury. Well, I am sure they know that the treasury was looted dry under their watch. Yet they decided to grandstand. This shows the hollowness of their apology. Let’s just give them a teaser with this list”, Alhaji Mohammed said. The minister also said the list is “just a tip of the iceberg, and the PDP is aware of this. We did not make these cases up. Many of these cases are in court and the records are available”. He also noted that some of the people on this list are seeking to plea bargain. Those named on the list include: 1. PDP Chairman, UCHE SECONDUS – On the 19th of Feb 2015, he took N200 million only from the office of then NSA. 2. Then PDP FInancial Secretary – On the 24th of Oct 2014, he took N600 million only from the office of then NSA. 3. Then National Publicity Secretary, Olisah Metuh – On trial for collecting N1.4b from the office of then NSA. 4. Dr. Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman of DAAR Communications – On trial for taking N2.1 billion from the office of then NSA. 5. Former SSA to President Jonathan, Dudafa Waripamo- Owei – On trial over N830 million kept in accounts of four different companies. 6 Former President Jonathan’s Cousin Robert Azibaola – On Thursday, a Federal High Court ruled that he has a case to answer for collecting $40 million from the office of then NSA. Alhaji Mohammed further stressed that Nigeria was looted blind under the watch of the PDP, and that the starting point in tendering an apology is for them to return the loot. “It’s like a robber admitting to stealing your car and apologizing, but then saying he will keep the car anyway. It doesn’t work that way. The PDP is a hypocrite. And that reminds me of what English writer William Hazlitt said: ”The only vice that cannot be forgiven is hypocrisy. The repentance of a hypocrite is itself hypocrisy” he said. “We will not stop talking about the massive looting by the PDP. They brought Nigeria to this sorry pass. We are now looking around for loans to build infrastructure, and they ask us not to talk about it. We will talk about it” he added. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/fg-names-pdp-looters-see-full-list.html Mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala |

Nothing good in PDP looters party! |
The Sokoto State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Milgoma on Tuesday dispelled rumor that the party’s 2019 election flag-bearer, Alhaji Mannir Dan-iya has been substituted. Speaking to newsmen in Sokoto over the rumour that Dan-iya had been substituted by Gov. Tambuwal after he failed to secure party’s presidential ticket was unfounded. Milgoma explained that at present Dan-iya remained the party’s 2019 governorship candidate noting that there was still time to substitute candidate according to the law. The chairman said the party would formally announce any change if any in future noting that substitution had processes which must be complied with based on electoral guidelines. Milgoma explained that the event held on Oct.7 at the state party headquarters was to express Gov. Tambuwal’s appreciation over the support he enjoyed at PDP Presidential primary election in Port Harcourt. According to him, party members are still united and will continue to support any person that emerged victorious during the concluded primaries and urged loyalists to work toward ensuring maximum success of all party candidates in coming elections. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that speculations were going round that the party had conducted fresh primary and produced Tambuwal as governorship candidate at the 11th hour on Oct. 7, to comply with INEC deadline on conducting primary election. What will PDP campaign with? PDP propaganda will work terribly against them. Their desperation for power has made them shoot themselves at the foot. Their choice of Atiku is not calculative based on the focus of their propaganda against Buhari. PDP in their campaign painted the Hausa Fulani as herdsmen killing Nigerians. They thought they could stop Buhari by painting his tribe bad, the choice of another Fulani man is a senseless one because they need to tell Nigerians why they will condemn a Fulani man in APC and go for another Fulani man in PDP! |
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday proposed that N1tr bailout should be given to the poor annually to stimulate the country’s economy. Speaking during the 9th Presidential Quarterly Business Forum at the old Banquet Hall of the State House, Abuja, he said, “If we spend N1tr to bailout the poor in this country every year, we will make a massive difference.” ADVERTISEMENT He said the Federal Government has so far spent N15bn on interest-free loans across the country. “The loans ranging from N50,000 to N350,000 have been disbursed to more than 300,000 market women, traders, artisans, farmers across all 36 States of the country and the FCT. ADVERTISEMENT “We took the view that since the largest number of small businesses in Nigeria are the market women and men and petty traders, we needed to expand the opportunities in these categories. “Our energizing economies project is putting power especially solar power in markets and commercial clusters. We have powered Ariara Market, Aba; Sabongari Market, Kano; Sura market in Lagos, Isinkan market in Ondo, Bola Ige market in Ibadan, Oyo State and Edaiken market in Benin, Edo State. “So there are actual interactions with the small businesses. Our focus has been to ensure that the regulators understand their role as facilitators not an obstacle to business. We are also establishing one-stop shops in the States, where all regulators are under the same roof in the States,” he said.https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/osinbajo-wants-n1tr-bailout-for-the-poor-annually.html Mynd44 oam4j lalasticlala |
