the ruling All Progressives Congress
presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has been
declared the winner of Saturday's
presidential election in Oyo State.
This was announced by the electoral body at the
state coalition centre on Monday morning,
The commission declared Tinubu as the winner in
all 33 local government areas of the state while
the presidential candidate of the Peoples
Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar came second.
The Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter
Obi, came a distant third in the election across the
state.
The Independent National Electoral Commission
State Collation Officer for the Saturday’s
presidential poll in Ekiti State, Prof. Akeem Lasisi,
also announced that the APC candidate polled a
total of 201,494 votes across the state to defeat
candidates of other parties.
Atiku of the Peoples Democratic Party polled
89,554 votes while Labour Party’s candidate, Peter
Obi garnered 11,397 votes.
The New Nigerian Peoples Party’s candidate, Rabiu
Kwankwaso polled 264 votes.

The presidential candidate of the All Progressives
Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, has won six out of the
seven local government areas of Katsina State
already collated.
The results of Saturday’s election have so far been
announced in the seven local government areas.
There are 34 local government areas in the state.
The collation of results is being conducted by the
Independent National Electoral Commission collation
centre in Katsina.
Mr Tinubu has polled a total of 82,332 votes across
the six local government areas which he has won so
far.
His closes rival, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples
Democratic Party (PDP), has polled 69,175, with
Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party
(NNPP) coming behind him with a total of 8,629
votes.
Atiku of PDP emerged winner of the Batsari local
government area with 8,889 against Mr Tinubu’s
7,017. NNPP got 1,096 in the area.
Mr Tinubu, however, won Matazu LGA with 12,008
ahead of Atiku who got 9,644 and Mr Kwankwaso
who polled 415.
In Kaita LGA, APC got 14,595, PDP 11,793 and NNPP
799.
In Musawa LGA, APC got 14,360, PDP 10,603 and
NNPP 2,033.
In Ingawa, APC topped with 12,315, PDP 12,152 and
NNPP 3,388.
In Charanci, APC got 12,779, Atiku 8,020 and NNPP
609.
In Dutsi, APC polled 9,258 votes, PDP 8,074 and NNPP
289.
Results collation is ongoing.

The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ekiti
State has announced the result of the presidential
election in the state.
INEC Collation Officer and vice Chancellor of the federal
University of Health Sciences, Ila Orangun, Osun State,
Professor Akeem Lasisi announced the result at the state
Collation Centre in Ado Ekiti after collation officers from
the 16 council Areas presented their results one after the
other.
He explained that out of the 18 registered political
parties that took part in the exercise, APC got the highest
number of votes with two hundred and one thousand, four
hundred and ninety-four.
Professor Lasisi said the total number of votes cast was
three hundred and fourteen thousand, four hundred and
seventy-eight while over six thousand votes were
rejected.
He said Ekiti State had nine hundred and eighty-six
thousand, seven hundred and seventy-seven registered
voters out of which 315,058 were accredited for the
election.
On his part, INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner,
Professor Ayobami Salami thanked all the stakeholders
for their support which led to the peaceful conduct of the
exercise.
All the party agents at the state Collation Centre signed
the result sheets and collected one copy each.

APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has won at Bashir Sheriff Machina’s polling in Machina town after
polling the highest number of votes.

According to reports, Tinubu polled 155 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of PDP got 61 votes.

Meanwhile, President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan has lost at Bashir Machina’s polling unit, Kofar Inji 001B.
Lawan scored 90 votes, while PDP’s senatorial candidate, Ilu Bello got 111.

Senate President Ahmad Lawan, who defeated Bashir Machina at Supreme Court over Yobe North Senatorial ticket, is said to have failed to win Machina ward cumulatively.

President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed why he openly showed his ballot paper after voting in Daura, Katsina State.

Buhari said he displayed his ballot paper openly to show that he voted for the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

He said the display of his ballot paper was to demonstrate his allegiance to the party.

Buhari expressed his happiness over the massive turnout of people during the election.

According to Buhari: “All over the place I mentioned my favourite candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu, and I believe my constituency will elect him 100 percent.

“Nigerians should make sure that they are respected; that means that the candidate they want to vote for they are allowed to vote for him.”

Prior to Saturday’s election, there were insinuations of an alleged rift between Buhari and Tinubu.

Tinubu had accused Buhari’s government of using the naira redesign and fuel scarcity to frustrate his presidential ambition.

However, Buhari had urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu
