omobaekiti:I had to get the video on Channels on Youtube and was shocked at the blatant lie of folks here. I dare ask, are the NLers simply bereft of rational thinking, is it that folk are brain dead or they are just stu.pidly disingenous. How can you watch the ministers session on Sunrise and say she didn't handle it well. The IB has passed his buffoonery to many wailers on NL Secondly you don't need to blame her for not having figures off-hand like a Fashola, everybody is not gifted the same. What I think is honourable is that she was sincere in owning up that she will need to verify. That was one of the tenents we learnt in communication, facilitation and public speaking |
adconline:....and you arrived at this position how? You have not said anything different, you're just throwing names of medical institutions........you do not have details of the contract in focus |
olalekan1:1. This is not a general hospital, but a PPP with government. In other words it's a commercial business venture. 2. The truth is, this medical park may likely not be cheap 3. How many in Ketu or Oshodi will be able to afford to patronise the hospital. Note that stakeholders will need to re coupe their investments and be profitable..... |
Cocoyamu:With this statement of your, I can deduce that you must have been in the rock-bottom zone in performance while you were in school ![]() |
sainty2k3:@sainty2k3,adconline: Sounds like another scam is cooking like ENRON and Tinubu?? There is no public statement from Cleveland Clinic-one of the best hospitals in world acknowledging this partnership.. This is like Harvard or Apple of medicine joining a partnership with a govt agency -without monetizing their brand and intellectual equity?? And LASG is only putting land??seems you were there when Dubai partnership deal was made, tell us what more the government provided apart from land, buildings and enabling environment. were they also funding the treatment or what exactly do u expect. Don't just criticize anyhow, just because you must do so You know, some people sound silly when they try to sound like they are in the know, but only give themselves away as having too much in a rush, not reading details well. The guy tries to question a business deal and used a single and isolated case as comparison.......you should know that some people are limited in exposure yet arrogant about little they've been exposed to |
ba7man:@ba7man,ideology: :Which ones are decaying? Mention them. you dey mind village bush rat? |
longayink:GAWD!!! How do I condescend to your low level reasoning.......Is it that you're simply confused or irrational? You do not take tax payers money to conduct campaign, nor elections. If PDP had done this..If PDP had done that......are just bullshit wailing from frustrated souls. Fact is that the money was linked from established investigation of Dasuki........No matter how you spin it, whoever misuses money in the state coffers and it is established that he did so, deserves to be jailed |
Yorubanews:That part is even more comical than the film itself |
me1234:.....while too many incoherent words are the hallmark of the foolish. Bros, What matters is that all thieves be brought to justice |
victorels:that is why they term him the Ineffectual Buffoon. Going by your position, it validates his buffoonery as How do you raitionalise putting together a cabinet of mostly corrupt members and paint a picture of being clean? |
longayink:Is it that you're sincerely stewpid or something is wrong with your faculty? How can tax payers money in state coffers be meant to be dolled out for politicians to engage in campaign by PDP |
hedonistic:Bros, Simple logic, someone brought stolen items to your house, I guess you will welcome and take the items, because according to your "unique logic", the thief gave you the items in his "private capacity".......... You're simply sincerely moronic ![]() |
Rolings:....besides it shows that OLADD was not born in 84/85, because he has painted a total false picture of what transpired. Much more how can you disgrace someone out of office with a coup? IBB that took over worsened Nigeria's state as he notably legalised corruption that Buhari was already cleaning out thenOLADD: :Old man how old were you in 1984? You know nothing. Corruption fights back whenever you fight it ,if your fathers had allowed buhari clean the system then you will be living a better and more dignified life now than the miserable sorry life you live now |
saxby:The picture of TBS/Race course here is not old, I see my church in that picture. My church was completed in 1998...... |
Teebillz has released a statement that his account was hacked.... http://thenationonlineng.net/alleged-break-account-hacked-tee-billz/ |
A Senior gave a talk in church, one striking thing I picked is that menfolk have a lot of responsibilites in our hands. We have so absconded on our responsibilities on raising our male children. Since we have left our responsibilities to women, we end up raising "boys" and not "men" ..... This guy has blundered everything.......... He should just check out of the country and ........ |
tsdarkside:Kaduna Refinery our largest capacity is another classic case. The refinery is so far away from the source of Crude that the cost of building pipeline to the refinery from Escravos, Forcadoes et al, is about the same with the cost of building the refinery. |
50pseamer:Done |
luvinhubby:with this statment of your, you also deserve to be arrested. Monies from the treasury to be used for a political party Anyways, the PDP outspent APC 3 to 1 on all front yet lost....... |

I tot same. Beside it made those two girls unworthy of what they proclaim. I simply saw two vain, idi.otic women brownsug: |
olafotad:1. I do not distinguish who is "Lagos contractor" or "Osun Contractor" you did. What I do know is that contractors are short-listed and those with proven records get the jobs. For example the Airport project was given to the Airforce Engineering unit, which to me is a demonstration of awarding sensitive project to those that are proven. 2. Argument of "Lagos contractors are not from heaven" am afraid, sounds, like inferiority complex issue. If you're looking at what contractors does a project as a yardstick of goverment performance, then I am afraid, the likes of you are living in denial 3. The view that government needs to pass money to the people through salaries, as a priviso to stimulate the economy is limited. Don't get me wrong, Salaries are wages, and it is the responsibility of the employer (government) to pay the employed(workers). But we in Osun needs to move beyond this mentality. Economy is stimulated by government facilitating enabling environment for business growth, so that in the long run, government can increase their IGR. Don't you know that if Osun has IGR in the region of 6-7billion a month, it will be less dependent on the federal government? When Obasanjo withheld Lagos State allocation for almost 2years, Lagos State government was not only able to move on, salaries were never delayed. The reason is that when Tinubu was government, he went on an aggressive drive to increase commerce which had a multiplier effect on internal revenue generation. 4. So when I got to the bolded above, I cannot but laff ![]() |
50pseamer:Bros, Thanks for the clarification. I think the issue with your situation is unfortunate. Why do I say so. The first problem is that you bought your land from a non-tax paying citizen (I had initially thought you implied it was a flat tax). It is unfortunate in that, at the point of registration, the government will require the tax clearance/card/details from both the seller and the buyer. This is applied to make sure that citizens fulfil their civic duties. The problem is that most citizens in Lagos don't pay tax. Unfortunately I think there is an option of a penalty, which people opt to pay to avoid delay of the processing, hence the situation in your case (I will imagine). It is not compulsory. If you have known ahead and can insist, you could have ascertained if your seller had tax card or clearance, if not net, out the difference depending on how the negotiation swings. Also, I think you should see someone in Ministry of Lands (I could refer you) wrt the fact that you don't live in the country and as such do not have tax card. I imagine the person helping you with the process chose the 300k option (which may likely be the penalty of non-compliance with tax payment) to speed up the process. Other things you expressed here are personal perspectives. That the charges are exorbitant are relative, the point is that these are statutory and backed by law. That they may still be cumbersome is an argument I agree with. I believe there should be a one-stop desk for processing all these, from Consent to Building permit approval. |
omonnakoda:Problem is idi.ots like you are simply just calling for attention. Akindindinrin!!!!! |
omonnakoda:Then quietly leave my mention....... |
dearpreye:I wish the same could be told to BMB when he opted to donate his allowances to feed civil servants in Osun, while his home state was owing salaries for months longer than Osun |
omonnakoda:Bros, First off, I need not talk to you if you give me this repulsive attitude. I have told you my drift is to point out misrepresentations I saw in his write up, if you don't get that, then so be it. Secondly what "intellectual" contest are you interested in. That there is a difference between C of O and Governor's consent....is your correction to me. So what's the big deal? I did not answer that bit because it wasn't the thrust of my earlier submission. But pray tell, what is this your resort to a seeming intellectual contest? The points I laid, was it to challenge intellect or fact-based The guy alluded that he's expected to pay a flat tax for property purchase both to the government and to the buy, that is what I challenged. Your resort to quoting things (modalities of property taxes and stuffs) that are already in public is unnecessary. But better still, educate me or clarify his position....... |
omonnakoda:Nope, I see a lot of misrepresentations in his statements. Check, 1.it costs above 1 million naira...... - You can't just generalise. If he's talking about Lekki or other prime areas, maybe. If he's taking about Gbagada, Anthony, Ogudu, then hell no! That is false. 2....even some people that manage to apply dont get it in 3 years. Mine cycle out in 4-5months. Lagos State states that the official cycle time is 90days. This has been in operation for over 15years. 3. if i buy a land to even start the process I have to pay 300k as tax even as i dont live in Nigeria, and i will pay the same for the seller aswell plus other charges...Do you really believe this statement? What land do you buy in Lagos that requires flat taxation to both government and seller? Meanwhile, if you read my reply to him very well, you should have seen through what I was trying to tell him, but obviously since I need to "spell" it, now this is - That the guy lives abroad, and he's been given a totally incorrect picture of how thing works. Also that he lives abroad and pays tax abroad is irrelevant. Nigerians who own properties in the US and lives in Nigeria do pay taxes on those properties. In Lagos State land Use Charge is statutory and backed by law. Will he have a property and in use and not pay tax because he lives abroad? |
swimmer:Bros, It seems you're either patently ignorant or deliberately lacking in knowledge.......as much as you want to knock your head against the wall on Tinubu, you're making things worse with your unintelligent conversations |
olafotad:1. I do not doubt if we have contractors in Osun (my cousin "was" a government contractor under Oyinlola), What I doubt is if we have contractors of the expected magnitude to execute the projects at the levels set by the government. How is getting contractors tantamount to siphoning money to Lagos? You people just regurgitate some illogic reasoning. I still state that the important thing is getting the job done very well and not a choice between Osun-based or Lagos-based contractors. 2. Allocation of funds and taxes are not leaving Osun. First off Osun's State allocation is of no consequence to the economy of Lagos, if we go by your assumptions. Lagos Island and Alimosho Locals Govt could dwarf the whole of Osun in IGR and worker head count. Secondly,, you will need to also review orientation wrt contractors, are you looking at contracts as one of the ways of sharing national cake or infrastructure development with a potential of boosting commerce. Osun state if not careful will simply be a consumer/rent collecting state. 3. The bold as emotional as it is, is also perception going south developmental wise. The other players in the states are not supposed to depend on civil servant's salaries. They do make money and can hazard a guess that some make more than the civil servants |
opalu:It is not only academic, it is stu.pid. Watch the court throw it out like trash |
