OreMI22:If she's involved in corruption, why not? |
OgbeifunErom:I concurStOla: :Bros this your comment is the best I've seen in a long time |
RaptorX:Bros, you know some simple things are way beyond some people's comprehension. You'd better indulge them in their Nollywoodish beer parlour analysis |
maasoap:About a decade ago, China bought a decommissioned Aircraft carrier from Ukrane. The towed it for about 40days, avoiding potential suspicious eyes of other countries and got it safely to China. China spent about 3years, practically rever-engineering and tunning it up. China refurbished the Aircraft Carrier as the first in their Arsenal, and today they recently built a second one from the scratch. China is will rival super-power countrieslemonade: :You should have said ungrateful wailing wailers, ungrateful ipod youth. Ungrateful wailing wailers and Ipod youth you say? Idiotic youths I must further submit. I would have thought someone in his or her right senses will talk about an opportunity to reverse-engineer, modify and produce those vehicles in Nigeria, leveraging on nexuses that exist between the military and private sector, ressurrect/revitalize our Auto/Aerospace-manufacturing sector and increase our military prowess. |
Ofornaira:Now the story adds up......according to your logic, should we infer that when US refused to sell weapons to Dasuki and Jonathan, both decided to divert the money to private pockets? ![]() |

ajebuter:Let me tell you a little story. My wife and I once ran a factory at Ajelogo Market. This was something we built from the scratch. Fast foward 3year later, I was informed one day that government intends to take over the market and convert it to luxury estates. My father-in-law who was then part of the exco of the market union, said the decision was to challenge in court. This was a land allocated to the founders of the market when the FG sent them out of part of Daleko market. Instead of the excos pursuing the court injunction, then some name throwing started, then confusion and days went by. Government will definitely not play fair. They came to pull down the market on a Sunday morning. Now we went to court, decided on an out of court settlement, only to discover that we can only claim damages for goods in store. The structures and building belonged to government. Then we realized that it is only a less than a quarter of us that could make claims. Others were squatters and hangers on. Trust me, the government have experience in this things. Thinking back, the mistake I think I made was not to have evacuated our heavy duty machines as soon as the notice came. |
ajebuter:If the two weeks notice that was allegedly served to them is true, then they have little case. The problem in most cases is that government do serve these notices, but the collective are not learned enough to assess and analyse the situation very well. They in most cases are not well educated, will quote their links to some fictitious someone high up who they will go and meet, or links to Abuja and stuffs....... |
thunder74:Bros, I am not sure on the "sold" part and I doubt which government will "sell" such to "traders". I have been a victim of government demolition (Ajelogo Market). Trust me the ownership of such places never left the government. The understanding between both parties are grey. Government would have dealt with "agents" in the past who would have "sold" the space (albeit, illigally). The shop owners are the looser at the end of the day Secondly, these market unions are barely recognized in the structures of the Lagos State government, provided they are not aligned with the Iyaloja's structure. They are not registered under law. So they have no basis. Thirdly, it's share wast of time to fight a lost battle. If this guys can access the agreement/contract between the state government and the market association, on which the market was transferred to them, they should go to court. That was what we did at Ajelogo |
ajebuter:.....and government should wait for them because they are Ibo and on holiday? |
Itsekiriman101:My exceptions to your suggestions are these; 1. Was that place earmarked for shops or the people just laid their wares and goods because it's a disused land? 2. Should government continue to be responsible for people that flagrantly disobeyed the law and resorts sentimental claims of having children to feed 3. Have you considered the illegal businesses and sharp practices going on in that area? 4. In urban renewal, government will pick the cost of legitimate business affected. |
1. This mad man, I wonder who let you loose........ 2. Premium times and wazobia reporters, what is the difference? 3. How can you expect me to answer senseless questions from you, You barely make the bar on capacity to reason, your premises are bereft or rational thinking, and your vile thought give you away as a loose cannon to be pitied......... Rad1cal: |
TonyeBarcanista:Don't worry, apart from corruption fighting back, people will probably need a bit of time to get used to the impact of the new change. It is important we collectively pursue this case to it's logical conclusion and all guilty jailed. A ripple effect is coming and we may all be more bemused with the depth of rot and corruption in the whole system |
datigbogirl:Yes you can decline an unlawful and wrong order. There's something called resignation; but in Metuh's case, he was not in the executive arm or legislative arm of government, neither was he a special assistant, so I wonder what "order" was it to appropriate and disburse funds from ONSATonyeBarcanista: :What kind of stvpid conspiracy? the President gave you an order and you want to refuse it? It's better he drahs GEJ into it as he might be given a soft landing as someone rightly said. |
Okies27:This is not a sentimental venture. The primary basis of this investigation is the $2.1billion scandal. If any former PDP decampee to APC is culpabable, the arrested PDP members should or should have mentioned such a person's name |
TonyeBarcanista:I think there's a part of our law (Business law case of Banigo or so) where you cannot claim to be obeying superior's instructions in carrying out fraudulent acts.Bevista: Apparently, they all think that if they can bring GEJ into the picture, then they may get soft-landing as PMB may not want embarrass the former president.Bros, them be small children? If GEJ tell them to stroll into sambisa forest will they oblige him? Calling GEJ cannot save them irrespective of GEJ's involvement. The law is very clear. Beneficiary of fraud and the main fraudsters themselves are all guilty. If I steal a car today and give to you, Police will arrest and prosecute both of us for the stealing. This is very clearm metuh knowingly participated as a conspirator(and beneficiary) in defrauding the government (going by his argument). Metuh will crack very soon and start singing like Cannery..... |
Rad1cal:1. Clap for yourself. The nonsense you lifted from wazobiareporters now becomes your forte? you are simply a "dordos" 2. Unfortunately when dafties like you get to see numbers, you're overwhelmed and utterly confused. But let me humour you a bit. You are so empty to be looking for the strategic imperative in C-caution and stuffs, when the documents actually paints the big picture. Of course you will not understand it even if it is used to smack your empty barrel-head. From C cautions to cables to cars and what have you are just details of a wholesome........... I am careful not to come to a baseless conclusion on that since we are not aware of the details, magnitude and volume. 4. So let's see demonic budget as you call it. A budget that for this first time as in a long while allocate more to CAPEX, Works, Power and Housing – N433.4 billion; Transport – N202.0 billion; Special Intervention Programs – N200.0 billion; all these more than the traditional Defence – N134.6 billion, which used to command the highest allocation, anshows the strategic imperative and drift of the government, on rapid infrastructure drive and diversification of the economy. Where expected revenue from other sources drowns that of Oil should tell you something about the drift and diversification intent But to what do I know about your jaundiced understanding of budget? I am tempted to think I am discussing with a beer-parlour analyst |
Rad1cal:Ok I see that an irritant rat like you tries to make attempt not to be a retaard. May be you should ask anyone with an iota of basic intelligence where you live, if there's anything wrong in increasing the budgetary expenses by 200%.....and in a period they are screaming austerity measure......... Honestly your idiocy has no alternative. You argue like an empty brained insect. So you do not know that budgets are based on strategic imperative, and in this case a departure to non-oil revenue alternatives and accelerated infrastructure development? You obviously do not even know what a budget is....... I have told you that you do not have the capacity to analyse the budget. You're aiming too high to even start from the bottom. |
Rad1cal:Obviously you are far less than a kid at this rate. To think you will come up with some intelligent critique of the budget to make the debate interesting, no you dare not, when such is far beyond your comprehension. Demonic budget! hmn....... is that supposed to be a rational summation? |
![]() APCsupporter: |
I am surprised that most of the commentators here are ignorant or plain silly. Budgets are meant to be scrutinized and criticized. It is healthy for the society. That's what makes us better collectively. The system is evolving and those who prepare budget will know henceforth that they have to tightening their belt. Secondly, it's not everything in the budget you must implement. you could realign your budget to reflect the realities on ground. What we have currently is a budget proposal and not the signed budget, so anything deemed not practical or beneficial can be expunged before a final signoff I will imagine, something this basic is lost on many wailers, right from their leadership to the dolts on NL |
trigar12:1. That he started out as one of the ND warlord 2. He was Ibori's hitman......later special assistant on Marine matters (whatever that means) 3. He was at the front of leading communities to disrupt Oil companies operations.....till money is shared.... |
agabaI23:How do you brag about values? ridiculous. Pardon my assumptions (they are assumptions anyways) but you left me little choice than to base them on the leanings of your position. |
OZAOEKPE:Show me an idiot and..........well the poster above makes the search needless |
danowena:Bros, It's not beefing..............I know a bit of his antecedents................................... People should be careful what they wish for |
folks4luv:.....you look into her face and say "hey sis, you have just successfully turned back from the gates of hell" |
agabaI23:1. Of course you don't know how old I am,....and humour me, what was it that was significant in his first coming? What differences is there to settle with Babangida? 2. Well I see that our appreciation of values are different, much more my take is that you probably have no value for probity, integrity and honesty. What is surprising to me is your concern with the people picked and not what they did, the enormity of it, how it affects Nigeria/Nigerians/ordinary citizens and the effectiveness of the system to recover the stolen funds and give appropriate punishment to these thieves. Just like I said, I see that your values are different |
Ok this just shows that Olisa Metuh has started a school of the Fellowship of the Dumbos |
agabaI23:....and you knew Buhari from where? |
Mama Taraba wins again |
Gaborone:Did your Daddy tell you this too or your mummy |
