You're are asking a right question. This will pose an interesting challenge. First off how do you control human traffic in and out of school? What management structure do you have, how many principals and vice principals?

It's an ambitious yet very laudable project tho. It was well thought out and well designed. It has the trappings of what you will see in stand schools anywhere in developed countries - laboratories, Library, Sick-bay, and even a facility manager. The sports complex is also awesome.
Politics › Re: TOP SECRET; How Tinubu Solely Installed Prince Ogunwusi As The New Ooni Of Ife by mapet: 1:25pm On Nov 24, 2015
starlily001:
Since the demise of the late Oba sijuwade and the choice of Ooni-elect Ogunwusi as his successor, ile ife has been a center of attraction due to the fierce battle that characterized the selection of the next Ooni.
However, unknown to most Nigerians, the emergence of ogunwusi as the new Ooni was mainly orchestrated and executed, not by the ife kingmakers of the Osoros, but by Asiwaju Bola ahmed Tinubu, governor Emeritus of lagos state and national leader of the all progressive congress, APC.

At first, Tinubu, who ignited his age long aspiration to install his close friend and business associate, prince Dipo Eludoyin(owner of ikeja city mall), as the next Ooni of ife but felt crushed when Eludoyin refused to be drawn into the race. When the pressure was too much, the prince left Nigeria to China.

It was at this juncture that Oba Saheed Elegushi, kusenla 111, stepped into the picture. It is pertinent ro add that Tinubu had single handedly installed the ikate monarch in 2010. he was the PA to Asiwaju tinubu. moreover, in 2003, tinubu installed Oba riliwan Aremu Akinolu as the Oba of lagos.
The ELITES gathered that Oba Elegushi sold the candidacy of prince ogunwusi to tinubu.
With persistency and pleading from Oba Elegushi, tinubu who wasn't enthusiastic in investing in ogunwusi caved in.
Even before he got the seal of approval from the lion of Bourdillon, Ogunwusi had showered and spoilt the ife kingmakers with both financial and material gift. Each of d kingmakers became proud owners of choice automobile (prado jeeps, 20 in number) and some became 20 million naira richer.

According to reliable sources, Asiwaju Tinubu simply instructed Aregbesola thus "Go and announce that friend of saheed Elegushi as the next Ooni of ife" It was a fiat order which Aregbesola dared not flout. But one which he surreptitiously carried out.

The elites gathered that Governor Aregbesola was expressly ordered by his leader tinubu to join him in London that Sunday night, he was also adviced to board the plane before the announcement was made. Aregbesola therefore instructed the secretary to the government of Osun state, Alhaji moshood Adeoti to make the announcement only after he had boarded the plane.

Culled from the ELITES

It's a pity to know tradition too is not above corruption. As an ife native am pained that my culture is not as I thought it was. After all the mouth that they would swear for anybody who didn't follow the tradition, it was the kingmakers themselves who failed their oaths. They ended up not consulting the Oracle and just followed their greedy minds. Whoever the real king is out there, may God justify you. And to all reading this may your destinies not be corrupted or taken from you. AMEN.

No body can fill the position except an experienced member of the organization.
Take a look at some workers who were sacked from the banking or oil sector, some weren't laid off
due to in-competencies you know, but they possess some experience too. Even if they have no idea of the job, an experienced staff from NIMC
can fill the position, making room for an unemployed youth (since his previous position will now be vacant).
It is totally wrong to bring in a retiree, except in the Force & specified mission which are always within short period.
Perhaps you thought i was making reference to those fresh-out-of-school graduates, who possess no work experience
let alone leadership skills.
1. The leadership of NIMC is very sensitive. It requires you to be an astute professional of repute and vast experience. Could you have made the argument when GEJ at the recommendation of Jim Ovia, brought Chris Onyema? Whre was this your "denial of youth" argument when PMB appointed a retired Kachikwu to head NNPC?
2. Yes, someone within the ranks could have been picked, but this is not a rule cast in stone. If the recommendations to the president did not consider someone within the ranks, then maybe, they are not ripe enough. At least the head of service to the FG Mrs. Oyo-Ita came from the ranks.......
3. Who told you it is totally wrong to bring a retiree? evidence abounds where various government have done so, besides if the said retiree has some specific unique skills and experience best suited for the job at hand, then he's best to be picked.
4. I did not think you were talking of fresh-grads alone. Your reference to out of job/blanket clamour for youths, without regards to the nature of the job in question is what I addressed

Bros,

NIMC is a very sensitive organisation whose appointment cannot be political. NIMC is a body that houses one of the most sensitive aspects our national database i.e. identity and information security. There work is related and interfaces to virtually all segments of the society - BVN, National ID, INECS, Police and SSS, etc..........

and this is my grouse with baseless arguments. Is this an organisation that should be toyed with by putting people just to fill in the numbers or to compensate? Chris Onyeama was one of Jim Ovia's prodigies, an ex-ED at Zenith bank before he was recommended to Jonathan. The new man is an ex-ED of the same NIMC.

NIMC had to be "spring-cleaned" not too long ago, to rid the place of those who professionally do not meet the criteria, this involved laying off of staff and employment of professionals, many gotten from private sectors and overseas......

In my opinion I think Party the party is the one that wins election. And the Running mate have to step in (if the running mate was registered by INEC). But then I dont know if this is captured in the constitution.

On the other hand, APC may have to choose between Taraba and Kogi, because should they twist the Kogi Election to go there way, what happend to Taraba governorship judgement. If the PDP Governor was sacked in Taraba for not being dully elected on party platform, PDP should produce another person. REMEBER "PARTY WINS ELECTION NOT INDIVIDUAL"

And should we go with that very logic, then any decampee must have his seat decleard vacant.

Remeber how Amechi came to become Governor, when Omehia was removed by court. Just the same as Taraba.

We must have a law that states those things clearly and Judges/Politicians should not be twisting things to favour them.

We cannot continue to run the country by selfish correct law interpretation by Judges.

My opinion though
Why will APC choose between Kogi and Taraba. You do not make sense here. In Taraba, PDP flouted the provisions of the law which APC smartly exploited to win in the tribunal. Taraba's primaries was declared non-existent in law, because it was a flagrant disobedience of the law to have gone to hold a primary in Abuja. Amaechi's primaries was recognised because it was held, Amaechi won, yet the national body of the PDP decided to substitute his name (a case of reckless impunity, which the law corrected)

Common sense tells me that the APC in Kogi will ever allow Faleke to take over. No body voted for him. People voted for Audu because of Audu and not for the appendage called Faleke. Despite what the legal implications may be, I cannot see the APC in Kogi backing Faleke to take over in case fresh elections are called.
This is a whole new scenario for us all. Keyamo is guessing like everyone else. INEC and the courts will decide what to do next. I think that INEC as the umpire here has an upper hand. INEC will first make a decision before anyone decides to go to court or not. My humble suggestion is that INEC should conduct a fresh election with a fresh candidate nominated by the APC. Faleke's joint ticket with Audu, died with Audu. The election was not concluded.

Fresh poll is the only sensible option.
The first part of your submission is your opinion and has no basis in Law. secondly, it will be illegal to conduct a fresh election based on Audu's death. Do you know on what basis the law allows a fresh election to be conducted?

The other 25% is the possibility of an election, because the certificate of return of is issued based on a Form EC8e that has the name of the Governorship candidate not his running mate and his party. Faleke was not the Governorship candidate but the runing mate.
PDP will still not win Kogi anyday anytime= my hope and view.

Everyone has his interpretation cos the situation poses a legal lacuna.

We should get some things clear;

1. Abubakar Audu, until his death was not a Governor-elect, but a candidate in an election.

2. The kogi gubernatorial elections is on-going and has not been concluded, even as I type this. There is no winner yet, until declared by INEC.

What I think will apply in this situation is:

The Courts will hold that independent candidacy is unknown to our laws and the vote for Audu is a vote for APC, but since the law did not envisage this situation, APC cannot nominate a fresh flagbearer as provided by S. 33 of the Electoral Act.

The courts will have to make a pronouncement that will serve as a guide and law in this instance. Either to;

1. Ask the running mate of the Flagbearer to continue with the ticket. Or;

2. Declare votes casted for the APC as wasted votes by virtue of their candidate's diqualification by death.

The erroneous belief by many that INEC will ask APC to nominate a fresh flagbearer is wrong and unknown to law, neither can INEC call for fresh elections because a candidate in an election died.

My opinion is that APC candidate has been diqualified by death and they do not have a candidate in the election. Though he has the highest number of votes until his death, he was still a candidate and the election has not been concluded. This is trite law.
Sir,

Your opinion is twisted to me. The Supreme court had already by the Amechi vs. Omehia/PDP declared that it is the parties that are voted and not candidates. So how do you come about your theory of disqualification by death? Can you show where it is either in Law or in the constitution?

As a minister of state for finance, she would be in charge of FAAC and no one would beam any searchlight on her. Nenadi Usman first understudied Ngozi Okonji-Iweala before Obasanjo elevated her. Ejigbo is a suburban at the boundary between Osun and Oyo. Ejigbo has more than 5 secondary schools most of which were built by the Baptists and Adventist.. These schools were built in the 60s with strong buildings which has been left to rot over time. These buildings need minor rehabilitation which as little as 10 million can accomplish.

Which is wiser? Building a brand new school at the cost of over 400 million for 1 or using the same to rehabilitate over 20 schools?

There in lies the foolishness of Aregbe and his schools.. The new schools account for less than 5 percent of all the schools in Osun state. When the money used in building that 5 percent can effectively rehabilitate close to 80 percent of the schools in Osun.
Ok, are you from osun state? Secondly, is no renovation going on in the old schools? Third, if the old schools are from the sixties, should osun build some new schools.

In addition to NewNigeriaMind's submission, let me add a few things

1. I would have thought you will post the picture of those schools in ejigbo, built in the 60s and let us compare the suitability of the school to today's minimum requirements
2. Are you says government should not build new schools?
3. If you had been duly informed, each of the new schools will house 900 students (30 classes x 30 students each). Is this not a cost effect way of making more students accessible to state of the art educational facilities than some old relic built in the 60s?
4. Who told you the objective is about saving cost? The objective is about radically improving the educational standard in Osun

I like your replies. Unfortunately with opinions from people like @GreenWhiteGreen, Osun needs prayers to be saved from his people. One of Aregbe's most ambitious project the the express way that starts from Osogbo park and goes to terminate at the Offa border. This road will redefine the future of commerce in Osun. This I tried to sell to my nephews and nieces, but alas I was shocked with their reaction and perceptions. To them Aregbe's sins apart from salary, is that he favours "Lagos-based-Osun-Indigenes" and he took away projects that local government staff does to make money and gave it to his friends. They were not even interested in future potential of the state, they kept telling me Osun is a civil-servant-state. I told them any state that brands itself a civil-servant-state will be a useless and undeveloped state. I told them that one day the "rent" structure where state gets free money from Abuja may be over and many of these so called civil servants risk being in the labour markets. Fast foward 6months later, the oil price crash and it's ripple effects set in...........

We well meaning Osun folks should not worry easterners with unsavory comments. It does not take anything away from the progress of the state. Very soon you'll hear of commercial ventures in Osun state like Shopping malls etc. with Fayemi as minister of Solid Minerals, the gold deposits in Ilesa will become a viable exchange tool to rapidly boost the economy of Osun. The infrastructure Aregbe is currently accelerating it's progress, despite its riskiness, will then serve as a competitive advantage as cost of moving goods in and out of Osun will be very competitive.

Trent online is not a credible source. These are sponsored online sites with questionable news. The bolded part is a classic way to twist news
Check the facts - The MD of SystemSpecs, and CBN governor confirmed that the contract was signed with GEJ's government
smuth:
Indications have emerged debunking recent media reports that former President Goodluck Jonathan was responsible for signing the contract with SystemSpecs, the owners of Remita software, which is currently being used for the implementation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s proposed Treasury Single Account (TSA)

The media reports comes on the heels of revelations that at least N25 billion have been paid to SystemSpecs, amounting to 1% of all monies remitted to the TSA.

According to investigations by the Hope For Nigeria group, Mallam Umar Sani, the former Senior Special Adviser to former Vice President Namadi Sambo availed that the immediate past government never signed any agreement with SystemSpec.

He said: “The government as at that time began the implementation of TSA through the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS), a World Bank assisted Project domiciled in the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation and it is through GIFMIS that all government Budget (Personnel, Overhead, Capital, Transfers etc) transactions are carried out, so why do they need Remitta?

“I can categorically tell you that it is the new Accountant General, Mallam Ahmed Idris, that put forward the Remitta proposal, but some other Directors led by the Director, Funds (Dikwa) vehemently opposed it on the grounds that government cannot have more than one payment platform and instead of using Remita to implement TSA, GIFMIS should be used”.

Also speaking on the issue, an official at the Federal Ministry of Finance who spoke on the condition of anonymity said that the “outrageous” agreement with SystemSpec on the use of REMITA software as a payment platform has nothing to do former President Goodluck Jonathan, as they did not sign any agreement.

Also speaking to the group on Friday, November 13, 2015, an official of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) availed that the apex bank has its own bespoke software for e-Payments and e-Collections, adding that there is no need for the use of REMITA.

Last time I checked this discussion is about why the government should spend a huge amount of money as commission when they can spend less of that amount in purchasing a similar Software. So, let me ask you, do you support the government to continue paying commission for eternity or they should just buy one?
1. Why should the government spend such a huge amount of money is a complicated question but worth answering. The government was indeed spending way much more before the advent of TSA. PMB's government had written to Systemspecs that considering the extension the scope of the project, they called first for a return of all monies collected and for a downward review

2. Recall that GEJ signed the contract, which in itself is not bad. What the GEJ government did not forsee was that a contract of this nature had an expanded scope.

3. Saying Remita software can be purchased for 5k at computer village, gives you away as very naive. I can understand you probably do not know about softwares and nature of software contracts. Remita is not a software on CD/DVD. It is a solution hosted on SystemSpecs platform and offered to the world as service. So your question of if government should just "buy" the Remita is most absurd

i have problem with the logic of the bold part. The money being transfer is electronic and therefore shouldn't attract any special cost based on the amount being transferred. It is suppose to be a fee and not a commission-styled reward. If it was physical money then it can, attract a commission because of extra cost involve in moving more money accross.
Bros,

The business model is Software/Solution-as-a-service. Check everywhere in the world, moneygram, western union, etc they all charge as a percentage of transaction++
