Stay in your house if you are not into politics, where are those who protested with Buhari in 2012? Deji is a politician, let him go out there to protest alone
Have sympathy for your parents, stay in your house
Deji won’t give you a kobo or be a better politician when PDP get back into power
..and the international bodies bent on destabilizing Nigeria who are funding the like of Deji don't know you...

He has sir. Do governors create local governments?
SocialJustice: :
The president has no power over governors and how they manage local governments. Buhari is the best thing to happen to local governments as he created financial autonomy for them but governors still found a way to circumvent the law to steal blindly from local governments.
So local government are created by who? the President?

Are you educated?

What do you agree?

Buhari should be telling us steps he has taken to empower the local governments, to give them autonomy and also devolution of powers to the LGA.

Than telling us local government is killed.

Buhari is literally telling us he is clueless to the problems of the Local Government and you are agreeing.
You are clueless.

He granted financial autonomy to the Local Governments... I guess when the news came out, you were (and still) struggling with comprehension of it....

And it is the FG that killed governors! They hold back funds until governors will have to visit Abuja and give them kickbacks just to have their own money for proper state functions!

The federal government is capable for the rot in Nigeria. Everything you are currently seeing is a precedence from the top!

Start and finish indeed .. some of the stations are still under construction e.g agbado railway station .. pls Lagos state and ogun state should collaborate together to fix the roads between them and not wait for promise and failed federal government .. I come in peace from western Nigeria
I thought you're not smart and you didn't disappoint....

A government promised a rail line, delivered it and are commissioning it.....yet it's a "Promise & Failed Federal Government". Those that did practically nothing and whacked the money are your heros.

Secondly, the roads that lead to the stations are state roads, why should they wait for the FG to construct or fix it for them in the first place?

Buhari, a man of an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.
He believes he is repaying the Yoruba for voting him president in 2015 and 2019.

Most parts of the SS and the east of Nigeria from where Nigeria derives oil and gas money have no standard gauge rail lines.

I know. That is why I asked him if he knew about the contract he's talking about. A contract that Nigeria only has to deposit ~25% in China funded the rest on a BOT...... in fact I'm saying too much. You are right "they...just open their mouth and talk rubbish...."

Also, more than 1 station in ibadan although I don't think Omi adio station is even completed
I think Lagos State government will build a mini-station at Oshodi for the Blue-line or convert the Oshodi Bus station to serve train services as well

So you feel you are stooping low to marry a struggling man but you don't think a rich man is stooping low to marry you, yes?

A broke woman marrying a very wealthy man = "She's securing the bag. Yassss Queen!"
A comfortable woman marrying a struggling guy = "She's stooping soooo low. Ewww!"

The standards are double these days.

My mother advice me never to look for a rich man who is well do whenever i'm set to get married.
she said i should marry a man that we will both start our life from the foundation, according to my mum, she said it is better to suffer with man to acquire wealth, than to go for a ready made soup.

Looking at the way things are going now, do you think a woman will now stoop so low and marry a poor man that is trying to make ends meet? Although, money is not love, but why would a parent wish her daughter to marry a poor man, i am begining to see my mum as a bad mother who does'nt wish me well.
Is it advisable i follow my mothers advice? I should stay in SURULERE instead of OLORUNSOGO.
1. Stoop so low? Bad mother? what a ridiculous conclusion and entitlement mentality! On what basis do you think you deserve a rich man? Do you think it is by right?
2. You're a Yoruba girl I believe, your mother is speaking in context. She is not telling to marry a poor man. She is telling you to build your future together with a man from an humble beginning. She's advising you to be involved in the foundation of the home and family you want to be part of. She is advising you on issues along sharing burdens, pains and glory.
3. The other thing is that there are consequences/trade-offs with choices. Many people who marry into rich or already made family have tales, some sad, some of regret that money cannot wipe away.
4. The most important thing lies with you. Why don't you concentrate on carefully and prayerfully making the right choice "rich"-or-"poor"

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Should I Leave My Bank Job For A Multinational Technology Consulting Company? by mapet: 10:15am On May 31, 2021
Markswag101:
Good Day,

I recently did an interview with a multinational technology consulting company with an opening senegal, i'm expecting to hear back from them this week with the full offer details. i've been having lots of thoughts on the matter, if the offer is very good and i accept it, i'm worried about how i can adapt to the country, how is the lifestyle and culture there, is there a community of nigerians there and if it would be worth it to leave my current job in a tier 1 bank and explore this opportunity.
i would appreciate any thoughts and advises here please.
Fear of the Unknown shey? These are decision people hardly make for anyone as situations are different and preferences are also not same. I will speak to the fear of the Unknown. I had options to leave the country 2x in the past and did not take it. Fast-forward 12-15yrs and I was about to take an offer in to a very senior role, twice I was asked why I have only worked in one place in 20yrs? Well I got the job thank God, but I look back and ask why I never took those chances?

If your "Multinational Tech" company is in line with your Vision and career objective and aspiration, go for it....take a chance... we all need to take chances.....
