RomanceRe: How Do I Get My Cheating Ex-Girlfriend Off My Mind? by mapist(m): 6:15am On Aug 14, 2019
blizard44:
Hello , Nairalanders.

I recently called off a two-year relationship with my Ex Girlfriend.

I found out she was cheating on me with two other guys and decided to walk away.

But the thing is that I can't stop thinking about her.
I can't eat, work or do anything without memories of the times we shared together hanging over my eyelids.

I felt that the depression and pain that suffused me after I told her it was over was hinged on the fact that she was my first love - and would go away with time, but I was wrong.
I think of her now more than I ever remember doing.
I'm afraid the feelings heightens everyday.
And this is made worse by the fact that we're colleagues.
We see each other everyday.
And concerns for her, I found out, still manage to hide behind my ribs.

I'm not thinking of going back to her.
It's not an option.
That to me now, is like dining with my archenemies blindfolded.

I feel like I don't know her .
I never knew her!

At least, I never knew she could tell heavy lies with our eyes locked.

I need help redeeming myself from her.
I want to see her for who she really is.
And I want to go back to the life I led before her.

I need help getting her out of my head.

Tell me how you survived breakups.

P.S
I want to read your comments.
You do not have to worry. The fact that you see her daily should be the motivation behind you moving on.

When you forgive a cheating partner and same re-occurs, it leaves this semi-permanent mark on your memory hence you have to be strong mentally so you don't live in your past forever. I experienced this about a year ago and was bitter with myself for tolerating a cheater for long although i did because i wanted concrete evidence for moving on. Cheaters never change and you need not condone them; once is enough to send her packing.

I am quite sure you'd be concerned with whether she feels remorse or not but trust me, that should be the least of your worries.

There is alot to achieve in your lifetime. Do not be held back by memories that were hinged on false feelings.

PoliticsRe: Kola Abiola Right, Tinubu Begged Abacha For Post – Chief Bode George by mapist(m): 9:39am On Jun 16, 2019
franchasng:
Yes we know sir, but the gullible psychopathic youths won't agree.

Abiola invited Abacha to overthrow Shonekan so that he, Abiola could be made President by Abacha, but Abacha betrayed Abiola his perceived friend, and rather held firm to power and never wanting to leave again.

Muhammadu Buhari, Abacha's close friend and ally didn't advice Abacha against the bad things he was doing to Abiola but today the same Buhari has cunningly recognized Abiola as the winner of June 12 election just to spite Obasanjo and to turn Yorubas against each other so they can condemn Obasanjo and hail him despite his wrong deeds in the past.

Remember Buhari was very close to Abacha, he refused to advice him to hand over to the winner of June 12 election Abiola, instead Buhari was more interested in his own political gains with Abacha, so he continued to hail & dine with corrupt Abacha and even went to collect a political appointment from Abacha and helped Abacha government in many ways he could as at then.

...and at the same period in 1993 or thereabout, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had already agreed to serve as Abacha's VP not minding that another Yoruba man Abiola has already won the annulled Presidential election which he was supposed to join hands and ensure his brother reclaims his mandate, no, he was desperate to become VP to the detriment of his Yoruba brother Abiola.

This is how treacherous these people can be to even their own brothers...

Let's go back to 1960s...

...and the power tuzzle between Awolowo and Akintola tore Southwest and later Nigeria to pieces in the 1960s, it led to the first military coup headed by Maj. Nzeogwu in 1966 which was later wrongly tagged *Igbo Coup* due to sentimental execution of the coup by some of the Igbo actors in the coup of 1966.

I don't know why most Yoruba elites are always desperate to rule Nigeria at all cost, just as Bola Ahmed Tinubu has started again today, when we tell future children how desperate Tinubu is today to become Nigeria's President to the extent of romancing with his adversary in the past (Buhari), they will think we lied, isokay undecided
VERY ACCURATE. I never saw Abiola as being innocent. NEVER.

I hope u factored in morata's appearances for Chelsea and At. Madrid b4 saying lukaku scored more than him.

Besides self, if it was a bet I would have won two seasons in a row because my original argument is that there is no way in hell Lukaku is worth #75 million. And lukaku has proved time and time again that I was right...
Ahan. What was the argument all about? Not Morata as a player but as a Blues player. Lukaku outscored him back to back which was the original bet. Who am i to say a player is worth a certain amount or not? What are my metrics for such judgement? I made it clear and it was a very simple bet. If you have doubts, check my initial message on the matter.

EXACTLY @ exit door. Many wouldn't consider you without money in the first place. I have said it and will continue to; let them continue to marry themselves. As for me, i am not ready to spend silly sums just to satisfy the greed of irrelevant people. As it is, i avoid their girls like a plague. There is nothing about them that excites me. This is the story of most people dating Nigerian women. Most are scammers just using men for money. The guys themselves are no better. You are better off marrying the one that won't cost you that much as they will mess up anyways!
cheesy cheesy cheesy LMAO......I sincerely cannot fault your premise; i just cannot. A modest girl is so difficult to find; very difficult. Qualities that ordinarily should not be a big deal have gone extinct. The few that still have it are obviously arrogant because they know how difficult it is to get a loyal female.

Car TalkRe: Which Is Wiser? Save For Your First Car Or Get A Loan. by mapist(m): 8:04am On May 06, 2019
shadeyinka:
Both are ok!
If you take a loan, you have saved on inflation knowing that it takes an average of 2-3 years to pay off a car or land loan.

If your income is high and you can save for a car within one year, then save for it. You will save on interest to your loan and purchase exactly what you can afford without loan repayment liabilities.

A mixture of the two is the best. Save half the cost price and take a loan for the balance.

A car is a liability (if it's not for business purposes ) that gives convenience don't do above yourself. Think of functionality rather than class
Excellent advice but i disagree with your bolded statement. A car is not a liability and even accounting recognizes this. Alot of people see it as one because of what goes out of your pocket in terms of fuel cost and maintenance. Have you ever taken out time to look at the value a car brings to you in terms of being prompt with your appointments, ease of conveying your items, flexibility? I bet you'd disagree with me if i say the average Lagosian spends more on commuting with public vehicles per annum than an owner of a sound vehicle and that excludes comfort as i would like to leave that out entirely.

The advice should always be buying within your income range and not above it and the reason for this can not be farfetched or overemphasized.
Car TalkRe: Which Is Wiser? Save For Your First Car Or Get A Loan. by mapist(m): 7:55am On May 06, 2019
ojeysky:
There is noting wrong with getting a loan to buy a car, the question is whether you have a need for the car or just for luxury. The car has to be utility vehicle for it to be worth getting a loan for, especially if it's your first car and if you still live in a rental apartment
Best advice so far. I wouldn't be surprised if you have a finance background. It is only in this part of the world people buy such outrightly. In saner climes, you buy using agreements such as higher purchase or other similar kinds of arrangements.

The fear an average Nigerian has for a "loan" is embarrassing. We do not seem to understand its dynamics as many are used to the mentality of collecting, collecting and collecting.
Car TalkRe: Which Is Wiser? Save For Your First Car Or Get A Loan. by mapist(m): 7:50am On May 06, 2019
ogawisdom:
Don't take a loan to buy a liability or for consumption.

Take loan to buy assets.

Asset is anything that puts money in your pocket

Liability is anything that takes money from your pocket
Point of correction; a car is not a liability. Get your facts right. Even accounting does not refer to a car as a liability.

Oga don't forget it was Ole who even made United contest for d top 4 in d first place with his run of consecutive wins... Jose was having one of d worst runs United had seen so how would he had done any miracles?

Are you kidding me? Fought through? Do u remember the point difference? Even Mourinho himself said it would take a miracle to make top 4. Ole made it look possible with his straight wins but as usual, the dreadful players never disappointed.

Mourinho and Utd were NEVER compatible and ll never be. He does not sound like a Utd manager, big mouthed and poor public relations. No top club would want such a person to lead their team. We gave to be realistic, 10 seasons and all we would hear from him would be excuses and need for more money to buy players.

Why is it that if an alpha male working in a reputable company let's say Shell, ExxonMobil or Chevron walks up to girls (that's if you're worth it cos ur type looks like those cheap girls that attracts Okada and Keke drivers).
Why is it that you'll accept him instantly? Cos he has money (your god) and you'll be submissive to his dictates and he'll use u the way he wants and even if you catch him cheating you'll keep quiet cos u got no choice..
My advise for you is get a career for yourself and be an independent woman if your own and stop chasing these rich men if not you'll end up as a ritual victim.
