olamide34: From the little info at my disposal,I think that the average cost is around that amount. So it is either you use that available spot or contact students on ground to assist you. Perhaps, search on Facebook for a student group that belongs to your university. That will be a good place to start from because the cheaper spots are not usually announced or available to international students that are still in their native countries, |

olamide34: contact the International Office of your school, and they will assist you. Moreover, use Google or visit www.oead.at for more info. Did you get the admission that you were seeking? Please,do not sign any housing contract with any agent/landlord before entering Austria, else, your rent will be running even before you enter Austria, and you are bound by law to pay. So,be careful to explain why and when you need it. Anyway, goodluck. |

Tarebreezy: UK is majorly for ignorant folks. Sharp guys school in the Schengen zone, which is largely tuition free. Why buy a cow when you can get its milk for free? You can check out Norway (competition na die at NTNU and Stavanger and it is open to 2:1 and above), Austria or Germany, but I think getting your documentation ready and getting a visa to Germany will be easier and faster than Austria, though,I can assist you on admission to study in English for MSc Petroleum Engineering at Montanuniversitat Leoben,if your CGPA is okay. As for Germany,it is competitive because Geosciences are majorly taught in English. Visit www.daad.de and input your search parameters. If you are interested in studying MSc Environmental and Resources Management, send a scanned copy of your transcripts to schaller@b-tu.de and Beatrice.nowotnick@b-tu.de. They will evaluate it and inform you if you are eligible to apply. As for visa, you will need a statement of account with 11000 euros to get an Austrian visa while you will need to transfer 8040 euros to a blocked account in your name in Germany. It is up to you. 3 Likes |

deracathy: during our time, Onwukwe and Izuwa were junior lecturers, and the others you mentioned, haven't joined in. I can recall two funny incidents way back. First,Engr Igwilo was searching for his car outside Workshop II,after a lecture on drilling fluid technology at the Petroleum Laboratory. He forgot that he left his car at the SEET carpark and walked down to the laboratory! He was as high as a kite! Mind you, when he was sober,he was the greatest mind, apart from Dr Pepple, that I have met in the area of mud engineering! The second tale was about a mentally disturbed but insanely brilliant lecturer,Okonkwo, who taught Reservoir Engineering. He came to lecture but forgot his belt at home! He was as crazy as a bat and was a legend among students and lecturers. That was when Udie was recruited to lecture! Those were the crazy days when the Petroleum Dept had the funkiest and grooviest lecturers in FUTO,and SPE FUTO was regarded as the Society of Political/Party Engineers cos we threw the best parties and we fielded a candidate for almost every post during the SUG elections in 2006,which was an incredible feat, when even the sitting President was an SPE member! We were a thorn in Emma Mbah's side, who was the SUG rep! He lectures now at the Dept! I miss those sha! |

A pal of mine told me that those students that are interested in studying Environmental Sciences, should start early by applying for MSc Environmental and Resources Management,ERM,at BTU Cottbus. They should send an email with a scanned copy of their transcripts for free evaluation to the department. The emails are schaller@b-tu.de, beatrice.nowotnick@b-tu.de , or better, send it to both. At least, that will go a long way to inform you of your chances of been admitted. Early to bed,..... Gluckauf. 2 Likes |

Religion / Re: Pastor Suleiman-Johnson Causes Stampede In Cameroon,1 Dead, 20 Injured (Photos) by marcondo13: 9:42pm On Oct 21, 2015 |
A simple perusal of most comments on this thread shows how deep that the level of education has fallen in Nigeria. (1) Only one person was reported dead but the impression that I get from the comments is that a lot of people died! (2) there is no report of the cause of death,if the victim died during the roof cave-in or during the stampede. (3) The service has ended before the cave-in. (4) this case is different from the Synagogue saga. Why blame the pastor for failure of facilities which was rented? The blame for the structural failure should go to the Cameroonian authorities, while the local organising committee should be blamed for lapses which led to the stampede! Safety is of the Lord, but don't forget to lock your doors before sleeping! 1 Like |

Why not? They will accept it as long as you have a credit pass in the required subjects. Just inform them about your combination of SSCE results. |

Tinder: I think there is a way around that issue. My school has similar policy. I applied at my school registrar that my employer wants to sponsor me for further studies. I requested that they send my transcripts to the Federal Ministry of Education,Abuja, because they actually needed to stamp a copy of it before taking it to the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and they sent it! So,contact the Registrar office and spin a similar yarn. Give them the corporate address of any company that you have access to,or you can ask them to send it to MOE,but that might take more time! Just my two pence! |

Chanchit: please, stop throwing decorum in the wind because you want to score cheap political points. Simply post the net worth of Stella Oduah as at 2011 and compare it to the present worth of Sirika! Oduah selling pepper soup! Do you know how much she has donated to PDP since 1999? Arm chair criticism will not deepen our democratic experience. A cursory view of APC propaganda about Boko Haram before the election and the present, will tell you that uneasy lies the head that wears the crown! Even Buhari is now complaining that the elites are after him! The same cabal that shoved him down the throats of Nigerians! 2 Likes |

The OP is misguided. So if a lot of Edo girls sell their bodies in Italy, that means all Edo ladies are prostitutes? Or based on the perception of the reputation of Itsekiri ladies, you will accuse any Itsekiri lady of been a flirt? Abi na every Igbo babe dey use eye to count money for man pocket? Or na every Hausa lady dey naked under hijab? Abeg, pack well! In Warri pidgin,''Dem catch you as correct mugu''! |

BigBashiru: The emphasis by the OP was on their beauty, not character. Moreover, light and sound don't travel at the same speed! You have to see a lady first, appreciate her physical properties first before you even go further to talk about character. In chemistry,we identify unknown chemicals by checking out their physical properties before carrying out tests on their chemical properties! Stay cool! |
Romance / Re: Pretty Girls Are Lonely As Ffuck (theory Tested N Confirmed) by marcondo13: 12:48pm On Oct 11, 2015 |
The OP has a point though. I can vividly recall my first year on campus and there was a lot of hot girls in my department and faculty. I always thought that they were already taken but as time went by and I became close to a couple of them,I was surprised that they were really lonely because a lot of guys could not muster courage to ask them for a relationship because they thought that they were seeing someone already! So my take on this is simple,no guts,no glory! If you have the liver, you will get silver, but you have to be bold to get gold! That's the hustlers motto! Happy Sunday. 5 Likes 1 Share |
