Oh thanks MayorOfEdmonton: I think a good question will be how did they send for other students in the past? Most schools already have a working system.
To send official electronic transcript(not student copy) to WES, I think the school needs to create an account with WES and the email has to originate from registrar’s/Exams&records dept(e.g registrar@unilag.com NOT xyz@yahoo.com)
You can reach out to WES to be really sure. |

Good Afternoon Gurus in the House
I want to evaluate my HND transcript with WES, My school is asking if they'll have to send the hard copy to wes or only the soft copy
The hard copy costs extra charges while the soft copy is free. which one should i tell them to do?
Does Wes need hard copy for evaluation? |

Hi gurus
Please trying to start the process, and starting keeps getting confusing.
Is there a page I should open first where my Wes evaluation will be sent to? Likewise IELTS?
I opened IRCC secure account and it’s showing Express Entry and I don’t have the data to fill in it yet like IELTS .
Please step one in starting
Someone should please help me out on this |

Hi. please i've sent you a mail please do respond. BEYEIs: Good evening everyone,
Please I am about to restart my Canadian journey and I have couple of questions.
Let me just delve right into it.
I am a Software developer with more than 3 years of experience
I am aged 31 going to 32 on 1st of April
My qualification is HND
I am currently running my HND conversion which I will be rounding up end of this year.
I have evaluated my HND with WES sometimes in the past(2022) and WES evaluated it to be 3 years diploma and a year Post graduate.
Here is my real question
Does it mean I am having 2 Two certs, meaning "my level of education" will be Two or more certificates, diplomas or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years?
Thanks all, please I await your reply and advise soon. |

oh thanks I appreciate. I've sent you a PM please do reply bukoso: I'll advise you to use this website (https://ieltsonlinetests.com/), it really helped me when I was to write mine. I used it for my speaking and listening test and had 8.0 in both (I wasn't even serious with it). They also have the writing and speaking test too(didn't use because the computer won't grade it). You practice with all the past questions at the IELTS exam library, check it out sha. |

wow. thanks for this, I'm checking this out right away. my school said they do not require any test but if I insist on writing that I should write anyone I prefer. NigPatriot: TOEFL or IELTS? most US schools prefer the former to the latter, be sure to confirm from the schools you'll be applying to which they require. Any of them you choose to write, most of the germane resources can be gotten online - via youtube. For TOEFL ill always advise anyone to use Notefull mastery videos - they are free and very practicable. Speaking is always the challenging aspect of the exam, you need time to practice that. Reading and listening are basic for any English-speaking individual - but then don't be complacent.
For the IELTS you can check this nairaland page https://www.nairaland.com/1866942/ielts-share-experience-ask-questions/107#100716791 you will surely get more than enough experience and stance as you proceed for your exams.
i wish you well. |

Daringtohope: I posted my transcript about F2 visa rejection in Lagos a couple of weeks ago. I decided to reapply immediately, and I was able to get a date in Abuja. The screening process was quite long and tedious compared to Lagos. Also, my baby was a bit restless, so I kept moving back and it took a while for my turn. This is the transcript of the interview as I can remember it;
VO: Good afternoon.
Me: Good afternoon Ma.
VO: Pass me your passport.
I gave her our passports and I-20s. She took her time to go through the I-20 and typed for a while.
VO: Where is husband studying?
Me: He is studying Molecular Biology in the University of ABC.
VO: How long have you been married?
Me: We have been married for 4 years it will be 5 years in a few months.
VO: How many children do you have?
Me: We have one child.
VO: Has he visited since he left?
Me: Yes, he visited us in August of last year.
VO: I can see that there is a shortfall in the living expenses on the I-20, how do you pay the rest?
Me: My husband has full funding and we have some personal savings.
She excused herself and left the cubicle with the passport and I-20 for about 5 minutes. While she was away, I was worried that maybe she was not convinced about the funding. Therefore, when she came back, I quickly said;
Me: I have the funding letter from his school here, would you like to see it?
VO: That wouldn’t be necessary (while smiling).
VO: Was he working before he left for the United States?
Me: He was working as a lecturer, and he is currently on study leave.
VO: What will you be doing in the U.S?
Me: I will be busy raising my child as well as providing physical and emotional support for my husband.
VO: Have you traveled before?
Me: No, I have not had a reason to travel.
VO: Do you or your husband have any relatives in the United States?
No: We don’t have any relatives in the U.S.
VO: I will be approving your visa. Please excuse me I need to get a document for you.
Me: Thank you Ma. (I few tears of joy rolled down from my eyes.)
She left and came back with a document containing instruction for student visa applicants stating that students are only allowed to enter U.S 30 days before the start of the program and not after the start date on the I-20. It also contains a reminder to take along and present I-20 at the port of entry.
I give all praises and thanks to Almighty Allah. I prayed fervently, did several mock interviews, and prepared written answers to likely questions. I big thank you to everyone on this thread. I learned a lot from here. By the way, I use full hijab that covers me from head to toe. I hope this will encourage and be useful for someone. This is the type of transcript I want, this your transcript has a lot of suspense oo. to the extent that I was even praying for it to be granted my heart was beating self. thank God you refired immediately, see how God gave u new year gift by this time. more wins. hemme water the U.S ground I'm coming. |

VO: Good morning, pass me your passport and I20 me: Good morning ( passes both to him) VO: where are you going to me: I am going to the University of Bleep for my Masters degree program in Construction management. VO: okay what is your study plan Me: I would be taking 36 credit hour courses divided into fundamental and advanced skill courses. i'll be taking courses such as budget planning, six-sigma, green and sustainable construction, LEED certification as well as lean thinking application in construction VO: how many schools did you apply to. ME: I applied to 4 schools and I got admitted to all apart from one. VO: so why are this university Me: Apart from the fact that the university offers a concentration in construction management which is rare, the construction management programme offers courses in geeen and sustainable construction which is an area am very interested in. I was also given in state tuition priviledges. VO: How did you find this school. Me: I first found out about this school through a journal on green and sustainable construction and I made further research through Education USA, looked up the specific courses been offered and decided it was a good fit for me and my career path. VO: what was your undergraduate degree in and what year did you graduate me: I had my Bsc in Building Technology in 2015 from Bleep University. VO: What have you been doing since you graduated. Me: I immediately went for my mandatory NYSC program where I worked at the Ministry of works in Bleep state. After that I was employed at Bleep interiors for a period of 11 months before heading to HJB environmental designs where I work as a resident builder currently. VO: What is your work about. Me: as the resident builder of the firm, my duties include preparing buildability and maintainability reports, Bills of quantities, Work schedule programs, Construction methodology and Health& safety analysis amongst others. VO: Who would be sponsoring this. Me: My Uncle who has been responsible for my education would be sponsoring this. VO: why would he be sponsoring you. Me: Aside from the fact that he is capable and willing, he has been the major driving force behind my education and has been responsible for it since my high school. VO: What does he do Me: He works as a process engineer at Mobil Nigeria. VO: What would this degree do for you Me: The construction industry is beginning to experience a shift toward green and LEED certified buildings and there are few people who are competent enough to undertake such projects. Earning this degree would give me a competitive edge above other construction managers and allow me to pick up a higher role in my current place of work when i return to Nigeria. VO: Did you take any tests? Me: Yes, I took the GRE and TOEFL. |

slamcole: Hello guys.....I am in the process of scheduling an appointment. Kindly critique my transcripts. Gracias
VO: Hello, good morning ME: Good morning. How are you this morning
VO: Sevis and I-20, please ME: Hand it over to him/her
VO: So you are traveling to the US. Why ME: To undergo a research/thesis based MSc in Biology with concentrating on Molecular Biology at USM, Hattiesburg. An institution that is identified as a tier-1 research university by the Carnegie Foundation
VO: You are a veterinary doctor ME: Answers in the affirmative
VO: What year did you graduate ME: 2015
VO: So what have you been doing since ME: Participated in the compulsory NYSC where I was the president of a group that advocated against the illegal use of hard drugs, upon completion, I secured a job as a veterinary surgeon in a small animal clinic, presently I work at a veterinary pharmacy.
VO: How many schools did you send your application to ME: Two…..Purdue University and USM
VO: What similarities do both have ME: classified as a Tier-1 high research institution by the Carnegie Foundation with researches providing insights in areas of science, humanities, veterinary and healthcare
VO: Why MSc in the US ME: In the US, the structure and scope of researches conducted in the areas of molecular biology from articles I’ve read as well as interaction with senior colleagues possess a high level of applicability while also providing insights to real-life problems. Thus a research-based MSc in the US will prepare me for opportunities in the field of molecular biology once I return to Nigeria
VO: How did you come across USM ME: I do study scholarly articles on infectious diseases and molecular biology with emphasis on vector-borne zoonosis. Stumbled upon a scholarly material by Prof ******* which aligns with my interest. So I mailed him to inform him of my interest. Sent me more articles to read and we scheduled a Skype interview, after which he told me he will recommend me if my application passed through the graduate school.
VO: So why molecular biology? ME: Do you know that %70 of human diseases and outbreaks are of zoonotic origin. You will also be surprised that a sizeable number of this diseases are caused basically by parasites and bacteria. As a molecular biologist, I will not just be equipped with the ability to understand the dynamics of the interaction of these disease-causing agents at their genetic level, but also develop approaches to preventing them from causing diseases.
VO: So what will you do after this degree ME: I will come back to my dear country (Nigeria), secure a lecturing position and prepare future molecular biologists as we prepare to face the challenges of emerging and re-emerging diseases. I will also ensure I engage myself in activities of relief agencies such as WHO, ILRI, CDC
VO: How do you plan to fund your study ME: My admittance came with a research assistantship position with a full tuition waiver and monthly stipends, the sum of which exceeds the estimated expenses. I will also be getting financial support from my brother
VO: What does your brother do ME: He is a Senior Travel Consultant in *********
VO: Why is he paying for you ME: He always wanted me to be the best in whatever situation I find myself. And he was more than encouraged when I graduated top of my class from the university.
VO: Do you have any relations in the US ME: Yes…..Aunt
VO: Interesting….what tests did you take ME: GRE and PTE
VO: Types for some sec…….congratulations, I will be approving your visa……... ME: joyous. To me, you are good to go with this transcript. Visa is smelling all over you, book and go collect what is yours(visa) |
