CodeTemplar:So anyone that becomes an atheist was "disappointed" by god? @everyone, I will post pictures tomorrow. Bear with me. |
My Internet connection is not stable hence the delay in posting pictures |
I came to Nairaland as a devote christian around the month of May then from September to December I started doubting christianity and I left in 2017. ![]() Here is the link to a thread, of four pages, where I made my first series of retarded arguments against atheism. It was the christian me against atheists Edybleketare, donnffd, pennytration, cloudgoddess and Oluwaseytiano. Be sure not to cringe and I assure you that I wasn't trolling . https://www.nairaland.com/3100949/one-big-misconception-theists-atheists#45558446 So let's go. |
Lol. Must people be offended at everything? |
Can we speak offline? Should I email you? I would like to speak with you. |
JudasNaCarrot:@bolded While I don't agree with her decision to use drugs to cope, I think we shouldn't compare her with other widows. People are different, so are their circumstances and status. We can never tell the depth of affection, attachment and bond she shared with the husband. We can never tell if she was a stay at home wife and the husband left her with nothing. We also can't tell the kind of in-laws she has as we know some are demons in human skin. @red True. Also the body builds up tolerance and high doses are needed to feel the same high putting the user at the risk of overdosing. @blue Nice. |
Nonsense. See the way they are saying school isn't everything but they are part of the people that will pressurize, discourage and even look down on those that want to dropout or forgo university and follow their business passion. Nigerian first degree(for many four year courses) is a paradox, it is a prerequisite in the labour market yet it fetches nothing. ![]() |
spongeisback:This what happens when doctors in Nigeria are not making money as they thought they would and they have to feed and preserve their ego and pride. |
Religion, wetin Africa do you?

This are getting worse and worse in Nigeria. Revolution is supposed to take place but we are not united, brave and long term thinkers. Instead we are full of vanity, instant gratification and comfort seeking. If I tell youths about revolution, they will start arguing nonsense with me. Anyway, if una no wan revolt, there is keke to drive; bags and fractions of rice, beans and garri to sell; bricklaying work to do and modelling work after four solid years in the university. For those doing modelling, you might push it for by snapping and taking nude and obscene pics and videos for cheap attention but that doesn't last long as ratings and earnings still remain low. Good things don't come easily. OP, take heart and toughen up, you are in the real world. If you are lucky, you might get a job. |
Lorenzop:Human beings. Some of those friends when they see you on the road, they will snub you as if you don't exist. People were sticking around with you for your money. Next time, learn to trust no one. |
UyaiIncomparabl:Religion, wetin Africa do you?

Flickzvill:I agree with you that alcohol is worse than weed. Alcohol can kill by overdose but weed hasn't been shown to. Weed has medicinal properties but does that mean it doesn't have undesirable effects? Of course not. I didn't want to digress from the topic of weed but given that weed is addictive, addiction inevitably lead to excessive indulgence(addicts who keep saying that they would moderate their use always end up failing) and can lead to long lasting emotional and cognitive problems in the long run. We know that moderation is good but many many people will still abuse it excessively. Is this what we what for our youths and wiz kids? No! Given this, it's best to look for harmless alternatives as I mentioned. It's true that weed will generate revenues but at what expense? If people don't buy and smoke, how will the revenue come? Other countries(where weed is legal) we would try to export to have weed plantations expect we want to ship weed to countries where weed is illegal. Because something will generate revenue doesn't mean it's a wise choice if we look at it's effects in the long term. If you think otherwise, then we might as well legalise cocaine because cocaine will generate mind blowing revenue. If I had my way, I would say alcohol should not be sold to those under twenty-five. The under eightheen ban with alcohol is not my doing. Sowore should focus on making use of the massive oil money, invest in and revive our educational and agricultural sector and build infrastructures. He is just playing the weed card. |
It's simple. Gold diggers and materialsl girls has made men lose the value we place on relationship, commitment and unfortunately, women. Most men now incorrigibly see women as objects to "chop and clean mouth" with and these men are heartless and indifferent in relationships - - thanks to the gold diggers, feminist, mean and material girls. Gold diggers and material girls, please take it easy and stop ruining the chances of good girls to find good men. OP, if financial buoyancy is in your definition of a good man, then you have to blame our economy and leaders also as there are good men that are poor. No good man will engage in rituals, love scam, drug trafficking and yahoo yahoo. Queenrabella, take heart op. |
Chriswazo:As in. This is spot on. |
Flickzvill:Bless you. I know that weed generates money, in fact massive money. But to get that money, Nigerian youths are going to buy and smoke and foreign countries are going to play their part but many of them have weed plantations. Oil makes good money for Nigeria but our present politicians siphon these money, Sowore can also invest in the agricultural sector and make money from there etc. If he still goes ahead with weed stuff then he must ensure that weed smokers shouldn't be less than 25 as weed is not good for the developing brain. But I doubt people will wait till they are 25 and I know people will abuse weed just like alcohol. I am just afraid of youths and teens wasting themselves on weed. I know we should always think outside the box but we should also think in the long term about the consequences of our actions. |
antidote06:First of all, there is no religious god to begin with who created everything and saw that it was good. Secondly, everything natural isn't harmless. It's plain dumb to thinks such. Certain mushrooms and plants are poisonous; certain snakes and animals are poisonous, certain substances and chemicals in nature are harmful etc. Aren't these natural? Any god that created these and said it's good needs mental evaluation. Marijuana is not like other vegetables. While it has health benefits that sometimes exaggerated because of potheads bias, it is addictive and causes emotional and cognitive problems in the long run. The smokes from blazing a jot joint contains more carcinogenic substances than cigarettes. If you doubt me, google it. Stoners will just keep living in denial and hiding the damage weed is doing to their lives. |
People should stop this nonsense, weed doesn't cure cancer. It shrinks cancer cells. Nevertheless, Elon Musk is who he is when he made his money and weed played no role. If you think weed helped him, what would you say about Bill Gates that doesn't do psychoactive substances. The idea that weed helps creativity is bullshit, saying weed helps creative people is like saying food help creative people because they eat food. Weed is addictive and can lead to emotional and cognitive problems in the long run. Daily stoners/pot heads(who start in their teens) never fulfill their potential--- creativity and skill wise. Sowore is playing the weed card like politicians in USA do to increase his chances at winning because many youths and adults love weed, they are addicted to it and they live in denial. Sowore, tell us how you reform and update our educational system, tell us how you will provide basic amenities and build infrastructure and playing the manipulative weed card. We have serious problems and Sowore is talking weed The fact that you(Sowore) are playing such manipulative card shows you might not be different from our present manipulative and corrupt poliTHIEFians. Who shall I trust to lead this nation? |

Chuksmonika:Gbam! People are yet to realise how revolution would be important in this country. They don't even have the bravery, unity and intellect to start and sustain one. People should realise that if they and their descendants are going to have a good life in Nigeria, they are going to work for it and no bloody god is going to help them out. We revolutionists know that revolution(by a large majority of people that think alike and are brave alike) works because no body is born powerful. Power is by consent and legislation is a human construct that is powerless if it can't be enforced. How can a small group of corrupt leaders force justice of a large revolutionary mass? If Vladimir Putin soldiers corner him and point ak47s at him, what can he do? Power is by consent. |
nwanneni:SMH. A revolution, a revolution not riot. Well if Guevara and likes are sensible long term thinkers and brave, they would revolt. What's so unique about this age that makes revolution unreasonable and impossible? |
nwanneni:Of course it's a capitalist world and I love capitalism. I was only stating the obvious fact. Every country will face their problems and it's up to the citizens of a country to solve their problems. |
nwanneni:You are mad but you have no one to tell you. The whole Nigerian masses that would bring about a successful revolution would consist of a very large majority that would think alike and are brave alike. These people would outnumber those that they are revolting against. The biafrans weren't the majority, they went to war against a large majority and they couldn't even feed themselves when food supplies were cut off. This is unlike the united revolutionary majority I am talking about. Like I have said,
|
alex81:Which is better? : 1) You know before hand that the revolution you are staging would amount to nothing but you go ahead and die. 2) You carry on with your life rather than do (1). In Nigeria, no one has your time. If you like follow (1), your memory will virtually escape into oblivion or if you are lucky, you will rot in jail for year as a scapegoat. In fact, the fellow Nigerians you are trying to help will brand you crazy, fanatical, and/or lazy. Why would they? 'cos unlike you, they are cowards, short term thinkers, vanity driven and instant gratification driven set of people. |
Dboy55:Don't mind ObaOloye. He didn't read where I wrote that revolution is not a man's business but the effort of a large majority that think alike and are brave alike. He also didn't read what I said would happen if the majority weren't thinking alike and brave alike. He is desperate to paint me as an empty talker. |
