Okija_juju:

In order for them to fit tracking on your line you'll need to migrate from extra-connect/cool to extra-track which will increase your call price to 45naira per minute and would not include family and friends or free night call.

To migrate to extra-track dail #419#911* migrating costs 500Naira.

Politics / Re: Freed Journalists In Corruption Scandal by matiltomd(f): 1:07pm On Jul 20, 2010
I was reading this in a soft news bulletin on my station this morning and i was forced to comment out loud on air  that what on earth were they doing with that kind of cash? Where were they coming from? Is journalism that lucrative? 3m or 1.6m, both are pretty ridiculous! The truth is yet to unfold,
Business / Re: How Do You Handle Difficult Bosses? by matiltomd(f): 12:55pm On Jul 20, 2010
We all have them, I think it's advisable to act like you don't know more than your boss (not like you stupid or something). 48 Laws of Power might work and at the same time might get you kicked out;especially when your boss has read it and uses it well, But if your girlfriend is like me who can't fight;I'll advise her to quit. But how many jobs will she quit?  undecided undecided
Politics / Re: Wear T-shirts With ‘police’ Inscription And Go To Jail by matiltomd(f): 6:56pm On Jul 19, 2010
@Nymph node;so most policemen now wear it as mufti anytime they go to raid? They must be big bois o! Tot they were broke? Besides,'Police' is a brand/designer;are they silly? Does it mean 'strictly for the force"? Jeez!
Properties / Re: I Live In Lekki by matiltomd(f): 6:24pm On Jul 19, 2010
Lekki is off it for me, I'd rather live in Yaba;Sabo (anywhere around Domino Stores) or Tajudeen Olanrewaju Estate. These areas are quite at the central;you can easily get to the Island and Ikeja without swimming, Funny enough,Fashola has transformed that area to 'little London' with the roads, street light and all. I think some people live or are living in Lekki all cause they want to come across as classy or rich (at their discomfort),
Politics / Re: Wear T-shirts With ‘police’ Inscription And Go To Jail by matiltomd(f): 4:23pm On Jul 19, 2010
nuzo:

@topic

How could it be so hard for people to figure out why the police would harrass Nigerians for wearing t-shirts with police inscriptions. The answer is simple and straight forward.

1. Nigerian civilians use millitary uniforms/ Police T-shirts to rob, harrass and kidnap their fellow Nigerians.

2. Bloody civilians have in one way or the other encouraged corruption in the millitary, hence these personals are always ready to take advantage of our little gaffe.

Amerian civilians may have the right to wear those police inscribed T-shirts, it doesnt authomatically mean Nigerian civilians should. If you aint a millitary personal, dont wear their clothes. . . . . . how hard is that? angry

Who typed this on your behalf? cheesy
Politics / Re: Wear T-shirts With ‘police’ Inscription And Go To Jail by matiltomd(f): 3:17pm On Jul 19, 2010
Funny enough, i was at brother-in-law's for the weekend and he was still gisting me of how a policeman in Ibadan harassed him over a "Police" T-shirt he wore. The guy said he was impersonating the Nigerian Police. He told the guy that he's never prayed to be a policeman that he's more contented with being a vet doctor. It took the intervention of the ACP Oyo state before he was let go,
Basically our Nigerian Police are not enlightened/exposed/educated. A friend of mine was once arrested in front of his house at night and when he was asked to write a statement,he asked the constable what his offense was and guess what the slowpoke said? "For indecent posing and baring nonsense in mind". And I'm not joking about it!

@Canuck, i follow you bro! 9 individuals and 1 sovereign nation, i hiss in Greek!

@Akuviv; Still do not understand why or how some people expected Yakubu to have performed 'abrakadabra' at the World Cup. He was just being himself! But i hate the word 'Yak', sounds pretty annoying! Was reading a mag the other day and his wife was reeling with glee how she was going to watch the 'Yak' play at the WC;little did she know,

@Mr Anus, pele bro! Funny enough, today's Osaze's birthday;care to wish him a happy birthday! Lol

Family / Re: Is It Proper To Make My Wife Next Of Kin? by matiltomd(f): 6:13pm On Jul 13, 2010
@Decryptor,just like you said;most modern day Nigerian women, but definitely not all. We still have a whole load of hardworking ladies who do not have to wait for a dude to pay their bills. It's pretty annoying when a man meets a lady and the next thing he thinks is "oh,she's after my kish",
Family / Re: Is It Proper To Make My Wife Next Of Kin? by matiltomd(f): 3:27pm On Jul 13, 2010
At first i didn't want to reply this thread but i just have to cos a lot of men here think most women are after their money;even the broke ones who have just 10mins access to the internet, will come and say rubbish.
Mr Poster, what if you find out tomorrow that your wife is richer than you are? So if you think making her your next of kin all because of your little wealth is a big deal, sure you'll be the one begging to be her next of kin. Besides, like some people actually lectured,a next of kin isn't for transferring of wealth or properties after one's demise. I just hope some women here will learn one or two things (cos most of us won't even think twice before penning our husbands as next of kin).

Again Mr. Poster, what if your wife dies before you? Rubbish!
And to the slowpoke (can't even remember his name) who said he can't even imagine his wife enjoying his wealth with another man when he dies; zulu gambari;what if you die at 90 and your wife is 85? Who will that lover be? Apoda!

Culture / Re: What Would You Say Is The Best Thing About Living In Nigeria by matiltomd(f): 1:26pm On Jul 07, 2010
Though it's unbelievable, but personally i still think the best thing about living in Nigeria is that Nigerians are happy people!!  grin grin The lawlessness is something nice too you know? grin grin You can imagine having a brawl with someone and you threaten to go report at the nearest police station;the dude you quarreling with brings out his phone and calls the D.P.O's personal line and brags before you that "OK, ehn ehn, alright,we'll meet at the beer parlor tonight, yes,i know i owe you 2 bottles, no wahala, ". And this is no joke o!

CGKing:

Well, I knew for certian Ghanians were excellent teachers and then schools seemed to have alot of Ghanians in their staff, back then when I was in Primary school. We had a good number of them too. I dont know what else they did but i loved Ghanian teachers, heck my parents even brought em home for after school lessons.

Tell me, if they werent that good, they wouldnt be sort after like they were as compareed to their Nigerian counterparts. That would only mean they were impacting the education sector positively. Then we sent them packing saying they stole our jobs and stuff. . .

Plssssss guys, the very same thing is what is happening right now, only they arent sending us packing. They just wan chop inside. y' know now.

Thanks Daddy! But you didn't indicate whether they did it for free or not; in case they were paid, obviously there weren't enough jobs in "good Ghana" then. Well i was never taught by a Ghanaian tutor and i honestly don't miss anything. They did you a favor,so you can hero-worship them, grin
TV/Movies / Re: Ghana Slams $1,000 Fee On Nigerian Actors by matiltomd(f): 2:51pm On Jul 06, 2010
CGKing:

Well I think the chickens have come home to roost. Ghanians were once in Nigeria remember? helping our education sector, now decades later,  the table is turned and we are upset about it. I think we deserve it. We should even show a little shame that we have to produce Nigerian movies in a country like Ghana. More so a ppl we humiliated decades ago. Now u want them to forget? For what?

Pls we need more of this kind of bullshit. Bring it on!!!

Nigeians should make Nigeria better.

Helping our education sector? I'm a child o! Do explain please,

On the other hand, what's it with the hostility? Abi no be Ghana pof pof?  grin grin
Politics / Re: Senators Slam Presidency Over N10b Anniversary Budget ! by matiltomd(f): 4:27pm On Jul 02, 2010
dolu2007:

We have reasons to appreciate and celebrate Nigeria at 50 in respective of the challenges we have, and all we have been through, yet we are still standing with the help of God.

Inter tribal fuss, Jos crisis, killings, kidnappings, Air crash, June 12, ASUU Strikes, Labour treats, Political hooliganism,Religious crisis, over population, unemployments, Student vs Government and the likes.

Nevertheless, Its not logically sound to spend that huge amount for such. Considering the amount Senators earn, its not a big deal to them.

These challenges na real wa o! And you think we're "still standing"?  embarassed

On another note, everyone really should see the breakdown of the 10b and you can't help but curse all of them,
Don't know how to post a link but just google this, Itemised 10 billion naira Budget Proposal for 50 years celebration,
