But seriously, some things are meant to be. Thousands of British citizens were buried in African countries and no one bats an eye, centuries later. Imagine if Mary Slessor's people woke up one morning and says they want her bones back. How fetish! Even though the British stole the boy, but it's fair enough they made his passing dignified by burying him royally. Shikena! |
And replace them with robots abi? Even if Peter Obi somehow magically enters today, who are the people he's going to work with? The likes of Doyin Okupe or Aburi, the document forger? When you see someone with unblemished record, bring him, let's put him there. But you yourself must not be a fraudster o. He who comes with equity must come with clean hands Dshocker: |
Lol. 100 mb? I be like say you never use Windows 10 before |
Someone finally had the balls to say it as it is. You're far better in the hands of Lagos agberos than those from Anambra. Those from Lagos will pamper you and make you feel kingly for being in a social hierarchy above them, while they lobby you for money. But those ones from Anambra and co, they just hate you for no reason whatsoever. I lived in the east sometimes back. One thug beat me up because I passed through his compound regularly without greeting him. This was a real live scenario. I had to be rescued from mob action. The more we look, the less we see indeed HighQue007: |
We cannot cope with an overpopulated world. Human selfishness will not give in to bringing many more kiddies into this world. Imagine the stress many people are passing through in this country as a result of overpopulation. Keep population in check, then development can be better planned. |
To be honest, this man deserves to truly go home and rest. He has tried his best to make a difference in the ruling party as VP for 8 good years. I don't know why some people are not contented in this life. Knowing the best time to take a bow when the ovation is loudest. In a country of 200 million people. Normally someone like Datti, the labour party candidate would have been best to replace him as a young less-known equally energetic technocrat, but for the toxicity of Obi supporters, Tufiakwa! I know Shettima will also be a worthy replacement shaa. One thing is that he won't be expected to be like a nice ice cream seller ![]() |
I will only choose to reply your comment because you said you're Yoruba. If truly Yoruba blood flows in you, you won't say that the king of your most revered tribe is unwise for choosing sides with whom has been declared winner by the authorities. In an election, there can only be a winner, but 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria has 3. The Ooni was magnanimous enough to be apolitical during campaigns, he welcomed all candidates with open arms. Now the elections is over, the Obi would have done the same thing assuming Peter was declared winner. Omo aale l'o ma n fii owo osi jiwe baba re. You're Yoruba first before you became a Nigerian. Let that sink in. Bukola94: |
Sensible kee? Oh he's a spineless lilly-livered Igwe, afraid of attacks from his own people and unwilling to associate with the impending failure of Obi at all fronts. At least Ooni of I've stood with a candidate, equally the highly revered Sultan of Sokoto. They have both advised obi to accept his defeat at the polls. You took the bait! Your Obi has no liver ![]() cktheluckyman: |
I wonder why the Obi of Onitsha has distanced himself from Obi and his shenanigans. He has never come out to give his blessings to Obi's political adventures and the fear of Obi supporters. Sharp king! |
Who remembers that fairytale where the animals decided to prepare a bouquet and every other animal brought one or two things for the feast except the chicken, when the food was done, the chicken brought his plate for a share. Imagine the disappointment he received. We are all witnesses to how Shettima was embarrassed in Owerri the other day. Even Tinubu was greeted with stiff hostility during his campaigns in the SE. Now you want the senate presidency served on a platter of gold. Apart from abuse and blackmail, no other weapon exist in the arsenal of the South Easterners, so no one will take them seriously again. |
Effort in futility. People should know when to call it quits, retreat to fight another day. Not every battle you do nzobu nzobu with. When Atiku had a strong case against Buhari few years ago with his "server", he couldn't secure victory in the court. Now this year, 2 contenders are challenging the victory of the ruling party. Take for example, the court decided to give the victory to Obi, what becomes of Atiku's case who was no 2? And if anyone thinks the court is ready to declare a fresh election, such individual is joking. Elections are very expensive and stressful for any country. For the sake of not heating up the polity, the court will rather look the other way for APC to continue. This is not about bringing up a strong point. It would have been better if only Obi was contesting against Tinubu, meaning that Atiku steps down. Mr Atiku will rather not withdraw his case to destroy Obi's chances at the court. It is yet another permutation to favor the ruling party again at the court, just as it was during the elections |
Keep researching what Tinubu owns and Peter Obi doesn't own. By May 29, the former will be sworn in to become Nigeria's next president. Goodluck on your "research". IfnobeGod20: |
Hello Einstein, Tinubu has been working in the United States private sector when Obi was still a boy. So you cannot use "millionaire" tag to oppress anyone here. I'm not advocating for any politician here but you Obi supporters should be objective. IfnobeGod20: |
Why will you want to stiffle your creativity by becoming a lecturer? Do you see lecturers looking very OK financially? They are always at the mercy of government with just a little to live by. With the private job offer, you have the opportunity for fast career progression and with the high salary bracket, it seems its an high demand job which you will do for a few years and migrate abroad. Choose wisely bro! A bird at hand worth's two (of the lecturer job offers) in the bush. |
Gen Z kiddies always with their selective amnesia. The Obi that you guys are calling the messiah today, where did he get money to send all his children abroad? Not only that, they are citizens, I believe. They didn't even come to Nigeria to join in the campaigns, while many of you obidients are running after Peter Obi's car. The same obi that will go and sanitize his hands once he leaves your midst. At least Tinubu isn't bullshitting us that he's a poor guy. He has entered, he has entered, let's see what he will do. All these your research carries no weight |
This Hundeyin guy, a very bright chap who is very good at what he does has reduced himself to a pig, wallowing in the mud of Nigerian politics. He has been very active in researching about Tinubu's past, who will eventually be president. He seems to be playing to the gallery of Obidients, who sees him as a vice messiah after Peter Obi. When the chips are down, he will see what damage he has done to his reputation, especially after the Oxford University saga. It's okay to criticize the government and poke a hole here and there, but to carry it for head like geepee tank is a black hole that will suck you in. |
Obi's people are so funny. People that got their voter's card first time this year think they are formidable enough to cause a political upheaval. They need to ask their grandfather's how things are done around here. I used to be in that ignominious bubble of "Obidients" before my eyes got opened. If you want to get their attention, just say a word against their messiah, Peter. They will smoke you out. Yet their insults hold no water enough to move a pencil. I'll be glad if they can hold this energy 6 months into the incoming government. I believe attrition will set it for many of them. They will withdraw their fan base in shame. |
Is there a curse in Anambra state that their past governors cannot spend a day in their states? My young Christian mind is still trying to decipher how a foreign governor is hosting a king on foreign soil. As what exactly? He has even written an autobiography to talk mostly about his "achievements" as governor I guess. Even Peter Obi, the false messiah had to go and open chains of shopping malls in other states with cash back from the "savings" he made with state money. Tomorrow they will ask us to go and verify. Go and verify my foot! |
Are you even minding them? Even though I voted for Peter Obi and used to be his advocate sometimes back, I see things differenly now. Peter Obi may actually be the false messiah as Tinubu said. Just as you rightly pointed out about the parable of the talents. 2 went to trade with the talents they were given and yielded varying degree of profits to their master's commendation. The last one, like Peter obi went to hide the talents yielded to him under a rock and yielded no gain, to the horror of his master. Today, the billions Obi claimed to have saved have not yielded fruitful results for Anambra state. It is still a mediocre state in the SE. Now this one is here giving rubbish prophecy. By God's grace, Tinubu's government will favour many Nigerians even though I never voted for him. He will succeed. tiger28: |
I thought this issue once came up on Nairaland, if I were right, your colleague converted the company's official social media page to his but later confessed to his supervisor. Though I believe everyone deserves a second chance. I'll advise you to go and look for the village elders of the MD and appeal passionately to them to talk to him. Go and look for his pastor. There must be people he listens to. Just like this morning, my mum was begging me over an issue I've vehemently put a stamp upon. I had to give in. Pray well before embarking on this mission. Best wishes |
Something does not add up. Peter Obi donated computers to all secondary schools on Anambra State during his tenure as governor and somehow left 306 computers in the system for civil servants that needs it much? Or did they loot all the computers he bought and asked us to go and verify. What did the past governor do for 8 years? That only a paltry 306 computers remained in the civil service? ![]() |
Peter Obi should really just give up this fight. Not every fight you go heads on with. He who fights and run lives to fight another day. This is his first time and he feels he must have it at all costs. Eventually he will get weary and not be able to be the role model to his Obidients army. There are still many things he's yet to understand about reality in this part of the world. You cannot do nzobu nzobu to everything. |
It is always about chest beating and how "some elements" are not happy with Igbo man's success to you guys. People that pound yam loudly thinks that other houses don't eat good food in their homes. Are there no other Nigerian owned companies who silently makes progress and acquire new aircraft too? Anytime an Igbo man is involved in a business, it's always "do it let them see it philosophy". If other tribes start showing off their monetary worth in this country, there will be serious crises. Oh about that food, we thank God that it's not Igbo's that are feeding us in this country. They will waste no time starving us to prove their ego. Please who is igbo man giving free food? May God bless the Hausa/Fulani agricultural tribe in this country. Penguin2: |
Tufiakwa! For this obodo Nigeria? Make I use my two legs waka go bank go collect death form? The person for kukuma branch price coffin. No be me and you oo, abeg! ![]() |
If only many Nigerians know how much they are wasting yearly on subscription TV entertainment, they will do more to change the status quo. Our TV's nowadays have HDMI cable. Just buy a used laptop with spoiled screen which you would get very cheaply and you can get tons of movies offline on the hard drive. If you use the Microsoft appstore you can even still download Netflix and subscribe. Anyway Telegram offers tons of premium quality movies nowadays at no cost. Not everything one has to pay for. |
Many millenials don't understand how elections work. I strongly believe that this case will somehow rope Trump, preventing his reelection. If not this, the second, or the third. He can't wiggle free. Elections are not won when you present a radical candidate with lots of fantastic ideas a man like Trump presents. It starts from repelling a decade old law that allows rape victims seek redress so they could pin the radical candidate years later. Millenials are too emotional about leadership issues and now they will be crying wolf when their candidate doesn't win. Or result in sharing one conspiracy theory or another |
I hope Nigerians won't start rallying for one candidate or another in the upcoming US elections? Especially those that couldn't install their messiah of a candidate in Nigeria? Few years back, a group of Nigerians got together to mobilize funds for Trump, idyiots that they are. I equally remember them marching in their states during Trump's investiture, thinking the next week he will deploy US marines to Nigeria to allow Biafra happen forcefully. Up till last week, one of them is still writing letter to Biden to do something. People need to wake up to reality. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/424532-trump-tweets-video-of-his-nigerian-supporters.html?tztc=1 |
Nobody can yet predict Tinubu's countenance as president. He may not tolerate dissident voices like Buhari. One thing that is sure is that Shettima isn't going to be a nice guy like Osibanjo. People like David Hundeyi who keeps dishing out everyday attacks against the person of the incoming president may not find it easy from May 29th. Anyway, he's doing that to make himself look persecuted to maintain the status of his asylum, not out of genuine interests. Many Obi supporters are not wise enough to discern, and would soon put themselves in trouble. lhordspy: |
We are not doing airport competition here, like some of you have pointed out. Typically Igbo attitude. We are infact glad that now, there should be far fewer cries of "they didn't allow us build our airports", another typical attitude. You are all so predictable. Enjoy your airport! post=122695932: |
You never pointed out that he is an APC governor. He must have had it easy to achieve all these using APC federal influence. The Ebonyi people that you guys reject so much will soon become the cornerstone. I pray the incoming governor follows in his footsteps. He has no choice anyway, because any request he tables before Tinubu will be stamped positively blindfolded. Ebonyi people are the wisest among you. We can achieve so much more if we do away with petty hatred ![]() |
