For an opposition state, this guy seems to be overshooting his limits. Wasn't he the one that took Julius Berger to a site the other day for a photoshoot? How much does Abia state really have anyway? And has he studied the hand over documents very well to know how much debt the past administration left for him? He shouldn't be like Soludo that promised to bring Japan Solutions to Anambra state till today, which we've not yet seen. Well, what do I know, I heard he's loaded, so maybe a new father Christmas came early for Abians
Politics / Re: Alex Otti Sworn-In As Abia Governor, Ikechukwu Emetu As Deputy by matrixme(m): 3:27pm On May 29, 2023
Democracy died in Nigeria today and it's a black Monday, but it is alive forevermore in Abia State, of which Monday is white. Clowns!
Wait oo, Abians, I'm getting to know now that your former governor's son was the speaker during his 8 years of failed leadership in your state. How did that happen? But you'll be on the internet telling us igbo's bow to nobody when they are literally slicing your commonwealth yam with family knife continously. Tufiakwa!!!

Someone finally said it! Mike Ozekhome must be a dishonourable lawyer to have agreed to defend a well known thief in court. He's the lawyer for Nnamdi Kalu, a well known insurrectionist. How can he still be seen as a patriotic Nigerian? I'm surprised Obi didn't recruit him to defend his fake mandate. Some people don't know when to stop when it comes to collecting Judas money.
Image123:
Wow, another frivolous suit. People like Mike Ozekhome are a cancer to this country and a stain on the legal profession.

Apart from making Obi.diots head swell, this guy's mission is not so different from that Tiamiyu guy. Anywhere belle face to gain the status of asylum seeker. He wants to prove that he has enough "revelation" against the government of his home country to be a person of interest. It's purely vested interests to him, because nobody does all these out of patriotism. We all feel the effect of bad governance, but we don't all constantly wish death on all politician in power. The new system is always built upon the old.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Is Applying For Jobs In Nigeria, A Waste Of Time? by matrixme(m): 3:30pm On May 26, 2023
My brother, let me be sincere with you, you are not wasting your time. You're just not qualified enough. Employers prefer experience over sentiments unlike Peter Obi supporters. With my years of tailored experience, 95% of all interviews I go for always result in a positive response. I'm the one that usually reject some offers self. If you're not part of the team "how can me a graduate be earning 30,000?" If you gather enough experience with those less paying jobs, you're doing a good work on your CV. Don't be like Chinedu, who wants to be governor without being a councillor first

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: My Experience Working In A Nigerian Startup by matrixme(m): 3:20pm On May 26, 2023
Startups are terrible places for career progression in Nigeria. Early career, yes. But for progression is definitely a no-no. I got one sometimes after their rigorous interview of many long, gruelling hours, I spoke all the English in my mouth finish and almost gave a portion of my blood to show competence. At the end of the day, the dude was offering me a ridiculous salary...
You must know what's worth your time and what's not. My advise, since you've done beyond 6 months, you can up the duration of working dates on your CV. Up it to like 2 years. No one bothers to check these things. Improve the quality of your CV with power words. You will sure get a better offer elsewhere. Relocate if you can. Don't let anyone sell you cheap. Best wishes

Education / Re: I Didn’t Know Anything About Education Sector When Buhari Appointed Me - Adamu by matrixme(m): 2:27am On May 26, 2023
This is a very damaging parting gift from Buhari to Nigerians. It should have been a less juicy ministry like culture and tourism that that silly outburst should come from. The educational mantle of millions of Nigerians for years, rested in the hands of an inexperienced man. Some words are better left unsaid.
Politics / Re: Osinbajo Takes Shettima A Tour Of VP Presidential Wing by matrixme(m): 2:18am On May 26, 2023
Osibanjo is really entitled and selfish to have thought he would be president after Buhari. Such a tall dream for a short man. After spending 8 good years in the decision making table of a failed administration, he feels that the baton ought to be handed down to him. In a country of 200 million plus people for that matter. Are you the only one that knows how to be president? People need to know when to take a bow when the ovation is loudest!

If Tinubu is sacked my the supreme court tomorrow, quote me. I'll surrender my Nairaland password to you. Let's Corbet
Penguin2:
Well, the good news is that Tinubu will be sacked by the Supreme Court tomorrow.

I’m sure that’s why INEC made sure Obi is not second so that he wouldn’t benefit from scenarios like this but he would still prove that he was above Atiku and get sworn in.

Obi, Tinubu and his Owambe Boys’ nightmare 😜
Politics / Re: Peter obi: Dangote refinery will give us Additional Savings On Foreign Exchange by matrixme(m): 8:27pm On May 23, 2023
Truth is this refinery issue is a big dent to the PR of Peter Obi, no matter how anyone sees it. Tinubu and Obi were both governors at the same time. They both had access to roughly the same resources but one chose to invest in a free trade zone while the other "saved money" and opened a brewery. Reno has finally revealed to us that interests from the state Commonwealth Obi saved is what he used to settle himself to a palatial life after service. No wonder he opted out of retirement benefits. Dude was trying to be a moralistic saint afterwards.
He could have chosen to build a FTZ near Onitsha river port to attract industries around that economic zone, borrowing wisdom from Tinubu. The more we look, the less we see!

***********edit*************************
So here's a past Nairaland post to buttress my Point. Peter Obi actually planned to build a free trade zone in Onitsha 1 year to the end of his tenure, but he decided to focus on the brewery alone, perhaps for vested interests. He could have opened up the state to viable investments, but alas, he's here talking of consumption to production in 2023 with only investment in brewery.

But seriously, some things are meant to be. Thousands of British citizens were buried in African countries and no one bats an eye, centuries later. Imagine if Mary Slessor's people woke up one morning and says they want her bones back. How fetish! Even though the British stole the boy, but it's fair enough they made his passing dignified by burying him royally. Shikena!

And replace them with robots abi? Even if Peter Obi somehow magically enters today, who are the people he's going to work with? The likes of Doyin Okupe or Aburi, the document forger? When you see someone with unblemished record, bring him, let's put him there. But you yourself must not be a fraudster o. He who comes with equity must come with clean hands

Dshocker:
Can you imagine the insult on the intelligence of Nigerians, particularly tax payers.

They shouldn't judge you by the same administration in which you are part of and about to get another new position, really?

Truth is that, we Nigerian youths are the cause of our misfortune in Nigeria.

Instead of the youths to come together in protest, and form a revolution to drive these demons away, rather everyone is concerned about his or own tribe being in control.

Someone finally had the balls to say it as it is. You're far better in the hands of Lagos agberos than those from Anambra. Those from Lagos will pamper you and make you feel kingly for being in a social hierarchy above them, while they lobby you for money. But those ones from Anambra and co, they just hate you for no reason whatsoever.
I lived in the east sometimes back. One thug beat me up because I passed through his compound regularly without greeting him. This was a real live scenario. I had to be rescued from mob action. The more we look, the less we see indeed
HighQue007:
Not trying to be tribal but the SE people need to stop with politics of emotion and save their land.
Claiming Lagos is full of Agbero blah blah but the Agbero in the SE are more notorious and no one can control them. You can’t outcast them like they don’t belong to the society cos the society made them so they are part of us no matter what.
My point is there is nothing wrong with Tinubu model of owing this thugs before you say pim please know that Lagos is one of if not the safest place in Nigeria. A lot of fights broke down between this thugs that seem it would consume Lagos but died off suddenly cos this thugs have control unlike the SE thugs.

This is very unorthodox but it is the fact. I once lived in Anambra and I can tell you their thugs are more thugger than the Lagos ones if that make sense. broad day light snatching of things like the dark age of Oshodi. It still happen in Anambra.

Most times you can’t win this thugs so instead of outcasting them like they don’t belong to the society, why not own them like Tinubu and keep peace and so they can stand by you during election like MC did. Study this model instead of being arrogant and having thugs hold you down to your kneels. Make una wake up.

To be honest, this man deserves to truly go home and rest. He has tried his best to make a difference in the ruling party as VP for 8 good years. I don't know why some people are not contented in this life. Knowing the best time to take a bow when the ovation is loudest. In a country of 200 million people.
Normally someone like Datti, the labour party candidate would have been best to replace him as a young less-known equally energetic technocrat, but for the toxicity of Obi supporters, Tufiakwa!
I know Shettima will also be a worthy replacement shaa. One thing is that he won't be expected to be like a nice ice cream seller
Politics / Re: Obidients insults The Ooni of Ife On Social Media by matrixme(m): 11:59am On May 10, 2023
I will only choose to reply your comment because you said you're Yoruba. If truly Yoruba blood flows in you, you won't say that the king of your most revered tribe is unwise for choosing sides with whom has been declared winner by the authorities. In an election, there can only be a winner, but 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria has 3. The Ooni was magnanimous enough to be apolitical during campaigns, he welcomed all candidates with open arms. Now the elections is over, the Obi would have done the same thing assuming Peter was declared winner. Omo aale l'o ma n fii owo osi jiwe baba re. You're Yoruba first before you became a Nigerian. Let that sink in.
Bukola94:
I am Yoruba by tribe, I am proudly Nigeria and black. To your question on why Obi of Onitsha is distance himself from Obi? Is simply because he is wise, and respect Ooni of Ife. both of them respect each other. Both their kingdom will go far.

Sensible kee? Oh he's a spineless lilly-livered Igwe, afraid of attacks from his own people and unwilling to associate with the impending failure of Obi at all fronts. At least Ooni of I've stood with a candidate, equally the highly revered Sultan of Sokoto. They have both advised obi to accept his defeat at the polls.
You took the bait! Your Obi has no liver

Who remembers that fairytale where the animals decided to prepare a bouquet and every other animal brought one or two things for the feast except the chicken, when the food was done, the chicken brought his plate for a share. Imagine the disappointment he received.
We are all witnesses to how Shettima was embarrassed in Owerri the other day. Even Tinubu was greeted with stiff hostility during his campaigns in the SE. Now you want the senate presidency served on a platter of gold. Apart from abuse and blackmail, no other weapon exist in the arsenal of the South Easterners, so no one will take them seriously again.

Politics / Re: Tinubu: Court Adjourns Hearing On Peter Obi’s Petition Till Wednesday by matrixme(m): 10:10pm On May 08, 2023
Effort in futility. People should know when to call it quits, retreat to fight another day. Not every battle you do nzobu nzobu with. When Atiku had a strong case against Buhari few years ago with his "server", he couldn't secure victory in the court. Now this year, 2 contenders are challenging the victory of the ruling party. Take for example, the court decided to give the victory to Obi, what becomes of Atiku's case who was no 2? And if anyone thinks the court is ready to declare a fresh election, such individual is joking. Elections are very expensive and stressful for any country.
For the sake of not heating up the polity, the court will rather look the other way for APC to continue. This is not about bringing up a strong point. It would have been better if only Obi was contesting against Tinubu, meaning that Atiku steps down. Mr Atiku will rather not withdraw his case to destroy Obi's chances at the court. It is yet another permutation to favor the ruling party again at the court, just as it was during the elections

Keep researching what Tinubu owns and Peter Obi doesn't own. By May 29, the former will be sworn in to become Nigeria's next president.
Goodluck on your "research".
IfnobeGod20:

As anyone disputed that Tinubu didn't work in private companies? The question is, what are the assets of Bola Tinubu before becoming a governor? What are his enterprise before becoming a governor? At least we know that of Peter Obi as a businessman that is into importing of goods and his company is a well know company registered in and out of the country, even before he becomes a governor. Please can you with joy and confidence point or mention one company that Tinubu was controlling before he became governor in 1999.
You may want to question the company owned by Peter Obi here below is when his company was fully incorporated:
"Next International, a private limited company largely owned by the former Anambra governor was incorporated on May 16, 1996. At least we know NEXT International as Peter Obi company before he becomes governor in 2006, please which company is Tinubu controlling before becoming a governor.
Also know that Peter Obi was also chairman of not less than 3 banks in Nigeria before he becomes governor. Aside from salary that Tinubu was collecting, as Obi was also collecting as chairman of 3 banks, which company do Tinubu control as a owner?
Waiting for your sincere answer.

Hello Einstein, Tinubu has been working in the United States private sector when Obi was still a boy. So you cannot use "millionaire" tag to oppress anyone here. I'm not advocating for any politician here but you Obi supporters should be objective.

IfnobeGod20:
Common google search would have healed you from this self inflicted injury. Since late 80s Obi has become a billionaire and was already a millionaire when in school because records has it that he was doing business and also schooling. Have you heard, part of the building he built when he was in school were used as hostel. Just google search about him and you will definitely heal your ignorance.

Why will you want to stiffle your creativity by becoming a lecturer? Do you see lecturers looking very OK financially? They are always at the mercy of government with just a little to live by. With the private job offer, you have the opportunity for fast career progression and with the high salary bracket, it seems its an high demand job which you will do for a few years and migrate abroad. Choose wisely bro!
A bird at hand worth's two (of the lecturer job offers) in the bush.

Not only that, they are citizens, I believe. They didn't even come to Nigeria to join in the campaigns, while many of you obidients are running after Peter Obi's car. This Hundeyin guy, a very bright chap who is very good at what he does has reduced himself to a pig, wallowing in the mud of Nigerian politics. He has been very active in researching about Tinubu's past, who will eventually be president. He seems to be playing to the gallery of Obidients, who sees him as a vice messiah after Peter Obi. When the chips are down, he will see what damage he has done to his reputation, especially after the Oxford University saga.

Obi's people are so funny. People that got their voter's card first time this year think they are formidable enough to cause a political upheaval. They need to ask their grandfather's how things are done around here. I used to be in that ignominious bubble of "Obidients" before my eyes got opened.
If you want to get their attention, just say a word against their messiah, Peter. They will smoke you out. Yet their insults hold no water enough to move a pencil. I'll be glad if they can hold this energy 6 months into the incoming government. I believe attrition will set it for many of them. They will withdraw their fan base in shame.

Is there a curse in Anambra state that their past governors cannot spend a day in their states? My young Christian mind is still trying to decipher how a foreign governor is hosting a king on foreign soil. As what exactly? He has even written an autobiography to talk mostly about his "achievements" as governor I guess. Even Peter Obi, the false messiah had to go and open chains of shopping malls in other states with cash back from the "savings" he made with state money. Tomorrow they will ask us to go and verify. Go and verify my foot!

Are you even minding them? Even though I voted for Peter Obi and used to be his advocate sometimes back, I see things differenly now. Peter Obi may actually be the false messiah as Tinubu said.
Just as you rightly pointed out about the parable of the talents. 2 went to trade with the talents they were given and yielded varying degree of profits to their master's commendation. The last one, like Peter obi went to hide the talents yielded to him under a rock and yielded no gain, to the horror of his master. Today, the billions Obi claimed to have saved have not yielded fruitful results for Anambra state. It is still a mediocre state in the SE. Now this one is here giving rubbish prophecy. By God's grace, Tinubu's government will favour many Nigerians even though I never voted for him. He will succeed.

Have we heard of the story in the Bible of the rich man that was traveling and gave some money to his 3 servants
One kept some and save some(atiku),

another "invested" all and made more money(Tinubu)

while the last one JUST saved all the money(Obi)....

Do you know who the rich man was furious at?
