since when did we start believing Nigerian "scientists"? when and which equipment did this one use to do his so-called research? |
Britain cannot afford to kill her queen and let fresh blood take her place. Such a lilly livered country. Imagine queen Elizabeth is the longest reigning monarch and has seen 7 different popes reign in her lifetime. Where is the fun in that? Does she want to live forever, biko?? |
What is the fate of this organization this year? Please advise. I have a friend that got a 50k job in Abuja and he's applied for the Peacecorps training. Is it wise for him to put his stakes on this organization? |
You people are such hypocrites. The other day we were all witness to Okorochas sister sharing rice and #1,000 to poor Owerri residents. We saw the crowd, and knew how you even called the lady a monkey. Now fast-forward few days later, you are seeing poverty in Ilorin. Why not concentrate your social activism towards getting Nnamdi Kalu out of Prison? We all know how Nigerians love free things. Besides who will ignore free rice and money being shared during the festive period? Have you seen any Hausa/Idoma/Yoruba/Tiv/Ibibio cry to your doorstep for food even as the recession is biting hard? Learn to live above hatred. |
These are nice inventions, not some impractical aeroplane keke that you can't drive on a cramped highway and can't even fly |
The way Buhari held the flag in admiration really projects the negative connotation. He should have stepped on it or shown deep disgust/ contempt or so... ![]() |
Oxtonguy:Sorry I'm from Ondo state. I am well travelled so I don't need to cover up mediocrity. |
Ondo state is still celebrating shoprite and mega market stalls at the moment. The state is awash with backwardness and uncreative leadership. And to think the coastline is just 30 minutes from Lagos makes it all the more sad. Some don't just know what to do with opportunities. |
White people just count down from 10 during the crossover night; pop champagne with friends, and they go on to live a happier and more productive life in the incoming year. We blacks go on a long charade of prayers that same night, then we go about killing and cursing our fellow brothers in the new year. What hypocrites we are! |
claremont:If Nairaland is more about snakes and Bobrisky this 2017, then I think this comment will win the most reasonable for the new year. Thanks for thinking this deep. |
Eastactivist:So you expect me to be crying because northerners are killing themselves? I see you're Igbo. When they were killing your kinsmen in Enugu you were there, now it is time to carry placard to defend their cause. |
Austin4lif:I am well travelled, if you may know. What are you doing there that you are risking your life? So you didn't see the more accommodating and relatively peaceful south to dwell. I can never to relocate to the north for any reason. |
yet they want us to believe kano is more populated than Lagos (according to NBS, on one of today's national newspaper) when they have killed themselves finish over senseless and pointless ideologies? you can't eat your cake and have it. |
my bank was just wishing me and my family a very merry Christmas this morning by email. Who that one help? |
Nigeria Army is really doing a good job dragging her reputation on the ground these days. From killing snakes to cooking jollof rice and begging for food, how much worst will it get with the army? This is really a show of shame for an organization that was once respectable. |
Seun has to really do something to curb tribalism on Nairaland in 2017. A thread about short money in circulation and the front-page is awash with a lot of unrestrained insults. This is getting out of hands. |
This is no news. Every other Nigerian city or village celebrates Christmas equally. In fact it is even more pronounced in the villages. There is no need to single out one city like they do their's specially. They are not even organizing carnival. ISDKING:if you were to be sincere with yourself, have you ever had a Yoruba, Hausa, Idoma, Tiv, Ibibio, Igala etc come to beg you for food? In times of recession, everyone survives. |
What baffles me about these jungle justice scenario is that people always complain about fuel price increase but wouldn't bat an eye to buy the one sufficient to roast their fellow humans. Perhaps Buhari should increase fuel price the more so we can think twice about how we use it. |
Who has cooked his/her LAKE rice oo? how the taste be? Make tonight no kuku waste finish as Headies don disappoint us already. |
It's like Hip TV is recording the event with an Itel phone.
wharisdis?? |
Lodge your complains via email to their customer care |
There is no point to argue. Lagos is Nigeria's and Indeed Africa's big Apple. No other state has the right set of opportunities to place itself ahead of Lagos. A few may just try. There cannot be a massive migration of people to any Eastern state due to tribal restrictions. That won't give you the level ground to succeed. There are no seaports. We don't have to analyse how this attract a lot of investment inflows and all There is no basis for such decision. There is already an administrative and commercial capital. No investor will rather want to gamble with his money. Even Dangote had to site his refinery in Lagos for obvious reasons. |
haykinzz:perhaps you should deactivate the VPNand try again |
haykinzz:still used the Glo hotspot few minutes ago. Maybe there are things you are leaving out. Is your system connected to any previous VPN service or so? |
They have a point though. People will watch just about anything. Such a shame it is being proliferated by the government owned Startimes. Guess DSTV would never promote such aberration. Maybe it's one of the disadvantages of letting the Igbo's learn our language. Funny they are not producing such movies in their own language. |
oyeb15:You should win comment of the year award. These types of thought are uncommon on this platform. |
Dead on Arrival. Who will risk his/her life to such an extent? Say, is there even a witness protection program in Nigeria and how effective has that been for any single participant? With the way politicians do their dirty works, is there any third party witness to corruption cases? |
When last did the news of Wike commissioning a project hit the front page? Fayose has even commissioned enough ponmo's as well as other weird stuffs this year to melt everyone's heart. Let's not talk of Obiano and Ambode who are truly working. Someone has been paid well at The Sun Newspapers. We can't blame them though, paper sales are dwindling. EDIT: Don't mind the poster below me. Seun please choose me as Nairalander of the year. I will pay you in MMM Mavro. |
DTaj:I hope you get a higher raise for this one. I will not bother to analyse facts with you. You should learn how to apply more maturity on the internet OK. Perhaps it's even a 16 year old I'm quoting. |
Once again the juiciest countries have been snatched by the northerners while scraps like Gabon and Angola is handed down to our brothers from the South. God is watching. |
It's nice and also uncomfortable to know that MTN is funding part of next year's budget. It's time to boycott buying MTN recharge cards to make sure the cost is not passed down to customers. Meanwhile we need more politicians to steal much more next year so we can fund 2018 budget |
I know you're trying to advertise your service and all, but this is very wrong. In advances countries, you could be sued. You just exposed sensitive security details of a commercial building. If I were an armed robber I know where I would strike. Next time you don't give such particular details about your customers. |
