Politics / Re: Bakassi: Refugees Suffer Starvation And Death As Food Runs Out At Camp by matty1024: 7:55pm On Dec 30, 2014
Oh my ancestral home Bakassi!
wrecked and ravaged by injustice.
Annulled without consideration of my existence,
By power that be.
I was not part of the negotiation that traded you.

I woke up early morning,
after a beautiful dream of my forefather.
And was forcefully driven to exile by men with guns,
Empowered by unjust justice.

My children and I are now vagabonds,
Starving for food.
Our health falling due to wandering,
and hopelessness.

Will this continue forever?
I don't need pity
Neither will I succumb to begging.
I demand for true justice.

Is it right to deport a nigerian to another state in the same nigeria?
What a lousy constition we have if is enacted.
It means we are not operating as one ccountry.
What about if the person where born in that state,
to parents from another state.
Nigerians should not play politics with the future of our children.

B_CELLS: Call off this lingering strike, they keep holding congresses high and low.How many of the so called lecturers voted before they embarked on the industrial action?Pressure is now mounted on them to call off the strike, they are casting votes like Nigeria is having an election, live and let's live, that position you are today, you can not be there forever!..I hope it won't inhibit the calling off the strike as speculated. RIP

My Brother, calling off the strike like you proposed is a good thing, but what about their demands?. The Goverenment need to show commitment also. Listen, ASUU did not embarked on this strike without a due cause. Our leaders sent their children out of Nigeria to study and thereby undermining our educational development. Their demands are for the betterment of our education. Let the Government show concern please.

Politics / Re: Governors To Corpers - Create Jobs For Yourselves by matty1024: 8:21am On Oct 12, 2013
Nigerian government have no plan for their citizens. All they want is for the citizens to do everything on their own. There isn't anything wrong if one creates job for himself/herself, but the government has to create a supportive measure also. I lived in Europe whereby the government gives long term loans that will enable their people to create jobs for themselves and give employment to others. Governor Akpabio tell us how your government can support your people in creating jobs?
Business / Re: Laundry Services: How do you cope with erratic power, & make profit? by matty1024: 10:31am On Sep 27, 2013
Nigerians should try to do without PHCN. Solar energy panel can do great services in a country like ours. The government are not honest enough with the power system, and for your business to succeed, you should look for other alternative, preferably Solar system due to avaliability of enough sunlight in our country. I reside in italy, and some italians used this solar panel to curtail bills. It works perfectly.

Who goes to jail is not the issue, but proper accountability. Its really unfair the way monies goes out recklessly without anyone taking responsible. How on earth can someone justifies the said amouth spent on just regrassing the pitch? Too Bad! Corruption is really killing the entire institution. I wonder when Nigerians will wake-up and challenge these bunch of Rouges.

Gowon was in his early thirties when he became head of state (I think he was 31)
Gowon and his click then hijack power and was not Elected. The issue is can a young Nigerian
of about 30years to 40years ever become a nigerian president? My answer is yes! Only when you
kill the old brigades. Kill Anneni, Adamu Ciroma, Obasanjo, IBB, Buhari, alot of these thieves,
then a young man with a bright future will become Nigerian leader.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Police Disqualify SSCE, Third Class Holders From Recruitment by matty1024: 9:47am On Dec 18, 2012
emmysenior: I wonder if these decision makers actually took their time to reassess this so-called preventive and curative measures before implementing it. What makes them think that 3rd class holders are bad eggs? I'd rather, they should focus more on psychological tests on eligible officers... Having a 2nd or 1st classes does not automatically make people good or qualified to apply, what of those that bribed their way(s) through school? Since written test is involed, I'd suggest they should let everybody write. In other words, I don't think that these outlined measures of their's can help cub or sanitize corruption in that department.

@emmysenoir you are quite right in your opinion. We all know that one can obtain 1st class or 2nd class today in our universities without proper merits. How can you justify that to being qualified for the post of a cadet inspector! I believe they should look into giving the police a new orientation, and sack majority of the old brigades. The old once if remain will always corrupt the new once.

OP, I'm sure Okonjo will now know what it means to have a legion of unemployed youths in a unsecured environment. If she's learnt her lesson, she will do something about it.

Is Okonjo Iweala the minister of employment? Always give meaningful point please.
Lets not concentrate on her alone, the govt need to wake up from their slumber.
The issue of unemployment need to be address fast, without creating jobs for the
unemployed, I strongly doubt if security or anything good will come. Talk from
now till the end of GEJ tenure, not good will come.

Crime / Re: Man Jailed For Stealing Chewing Gum by matty1024: 2:49pm On Feb 24, 2012
Is Nigerian law only for the poor? Why is it that our politicians are not judeged by this same laws?
I lived in Europe, acase like this is not punishable by jail term, what the judges normally do is
to prohibit the accused person from entry the scene of the crime, or sentence him/her to communittee
labour. (Cleaning the streets and been seen by neigbours). Tafa Bologun stolen billions of monies and
was only sentence to 6 months imprisonment, while someone that stole chewing gum is being given 2 months
jail term. Too bad!!!!!
Politics / Re: Gov Aliyu: Nigeria Risks Disintegration By 2015 by matty1024: 10:30am On Jan 23, 2012
Disintegration YES, but how many Region? Presently people proposed 6 geographical zone.
I can bet my life that 6 region will not be enough. There are other minorities in some areas.
The Ibo's in the delta, the Ogoja's in the Cross River and so many others will not agree to
remain as minors. It would have been better "IF" we try to discuss and know our difference, then
we can disagree to agree once again.
Politics / Re: Senate Bill: Social Security For Unemployed Graduates & The Aged by matty1024: 7:09pm On Jan 17, 2012
Social benefits is almost dying today in the western world, it creates avenue for laziness.
In Nigeria situation where we do not have proper data to checkmate our population
figure, I wonder how we can ascertain how many unemployed graduates in our society.
My guess is that the benefit scheme will be faulted by the handles, creating another means
of corruption. The best is to look into infrastural development, enabling environment for
job creation and Trust in the government circle.

Politics / Re: IBB Returns After Two Months Medical Trip Abroad by matty1024: 7:28pm On Dec 12, 2011
What a shameful attitude, travelling abroad for medical treatment when we have qualified, intelligent and capable hands to administer good treatment here. The only thing we lack is medical infrastructures due to non-challant characters of our leaders, e.g IBB. They intentionally refused to upgrade our hospitals because they can afford to travel abroad for treatment. They don't consider the poor masses who can't afford to pay for these services abroad. Too bad!!

Politics / Re: Nigerian Ambassador To Kenya: Son's Side Of The Story by matty1024: 10:26am On Jun 02, 2011
It takes people from a home that is divided to understand what this family are going through.
Honestly I do understand what they are going through since I grew up in a similar home. Yes!
Count yourself lucky not to have a bad mother, because if you do, you will find it difficult to
have happiness in life. The son did not lie against the mother, he just told how the mother
behaves. I will advice the Nigerian Government to make more findings in this case. I can
assure you that the embassy staffs will not say anything contrary to what the son just said.
Politics / Re: Four-year Term Short, Says Jonathan by matty1024: 3:55pm On May 27, 2011

It is true what GEJ Is saying - 4 years is not enough to enjoy FRESH AIR. since you have been enjoying FRESH AIR poverty for 50 years - why are the Nigerian masses now complaining of a little 4 years.

I am highly disappointed in you! How can a reasonable man believe that 4 good years is not enough to perform? GEJ is not a leader, has never being a leader and will never be a leader. He is like his God father OBJ.
