HealthEbola: We Will Arrest False Cure Claimers Says NAFDAC by maximunimpact(op): 6:41pm On Aug 05, 2014
We will clampdown on people making false claims that they have products that can cure Ebola virus disease, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned
The Director – General of the agency, Dr. Paul Orhii who gave the warning in Lagos restated that Ebola virus disease has no cure for now and there is no definite drug that can cure the disease.
The NAFDAC. Said it would not take lightly any such advertisement of a disease that is currently ravaging the West African countries.
Orhii warned that anybody making false claims that he or she has products that can cure Ebola virus disease (EVD) to stop it or face the wrath of the law.
His words, “The honourable . Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi has stated categorically that there is no cure yet for Ebola
He lamented that unscrupulous people are trying to take advantage of the EVD outbreak in the region to deceive vulnerable people by making claims that they have a remedy for the disease.
He said those who claim they possess a cure for Ebola should do so only after it has been certified. “They should go through the normal ‘scientific’ process,” he added.
He said for now, EVD has no known cure adding that “It would be a good thing if the cure is found in Nigeria but things must be done according to lay down rules.”
Nigerians are desperate and will be ready to buy anything if they have the virus. If anyone has a cure let him come to the agency. We will follow up but we are not going to allow anybody to take advantage of the sick. We will arrest anybody found making false claims.”
PoliticsOkorocha Accused Of Issuing N50 Million Dud Cheque To Catholic Church by maximunimpact(op): 6:33pm On Aug 05, 2014
..Mbaka Says: “He is a Disappointment to God”
Fiery catholic priest and spiritual director, Adoration Ministry Enugu
Nigeria (AMEN), Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has berated Imo state governor,
Owelle Rochas Okorocha for allegedly issuing N50Million dud cheque to
Owerri Catholic Archdiocese even after the church voted massively for him
in the 2011 governorship election.
It would be recalled that the catholic community controls about 60% voting
population in the state which favoured Okorocha who contested under the
platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) to clinch the
governorship seat following the widespread allegation that the immediate
past governor, Ikedi Ohakim, who was also seeking re-election, assaulted
one of their priests in the build- up to theelection.
Mbaka who made this shocking revelation at his Christ the King adoration
ground, Enugu, attended by ex governor Ohakim and his supporters,
described Okorocha as a disappointment to God and
humanity, having betrayed the confidence and trust reposed in him by Imo
electorate.
While regretting what he described as an orchestrated propaganda which
scuttled Ohakim’s re- election bid in 2011, the popular cleric attributed
the development to selfishness and insensitivity on the part of his former
governor’s aides whom he accused of jeopardizing his investigation ahead
of the elections by not granting him access to interact and establish the
veracity of the damaging allegation that pitched him against the entire
catholic community.
“It is regrettable that at last the truth has manifested though not at the
right time. Ohakim didn’t beat any priest. It was an orchestrated
falsehood and blackmail which unfortunately were aimed at scuttling his re
-election bid. When we wanted to reach the governor so as to
get his own version, those that worked with him made it impossible. We
waited patiently for him but he never showed up. It was then we composed
our music ” Onye ahu kuru father Ihe, ogaghi achi anyi zoo” meaning “The
person that beat our priest will not rule us again” which made Catholics
in Imo to deny him their votes.
“However, it is good to tell the truth even if it is coming late. Let the
truth be told today though not necessarily to prepare him for another
governorship project but for the whole world to know that he
never did anything like that. Even if Ohakim dies tomorrow, the world will
now know that he didn’t beat any priest. I am saying this because after
listening to Ohakim’s version and that of the priest
involved in the controversy and discovered that the allegation was false,
it then behooved on me as a servant of God to make my findings public and
declare the former governor innocent” Mbaka said.
Speaking on Okorocha’s administration, Mbaka regretted that after
benefitting from the falsehood that ousted the former governor from
office, the rescue mission governor has to the chagrin of everybody
decided to reward the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri and Imo people with
N50M dud cheque and bad governance respectively.
“After the blackmail and falsehood that Ohakim assaulted a catholic
priest, the man that benefitted from the whole thing is now dealing with
Imo people as well as destroying the state. Even our Archbishop in Owerri
is now crying. Could you imagine that our cathedral in Owerri is almost
collapsing and what this man called Rochas Okorocha could do was to give
the church a N50 million dud cheque? As I am speaking now, Okorocha is
dealing with Imo people. In fact, that man
is not a blessing to Ndi Imo and I wonder the kingdom where he came from”
he said.
Apparently predicting a better fortune for Ohakim who is currently
contesting the PDP governorship ticket ahead 2015 polls, Mbaka concluded
by warning the former whom he admitted has had his own dose of
shortcomings as a human being to always seek the face of God and
consistently do the right thing for the glory of his Creator.
He further lamented the growing scenario where Nigerian politicians turn
against God whenever they found themselves in power only to remember Him
the time they have exited office.

What's up with both male and female wearing long white or black gown? Where and how did this happen again? It makes me to remember the ancient jews that puts on long rope wit sandals, but that's what's in vogue then. Very soon we(Nigerians) will go back the those ages were we wore raw animal skins around the waist. Just look out the street you see people puting on long gown(both boys and girls) and its very funny!

Explosion rips through ‘busy area’ in Potiskum
JULY 30, 2014 BY OUR CORRESPONDENT
A yet-to-be-identified number of residents might have died
in an explosion in a “busy area” of Potiskum, Yobe State, on
Tuesday night.
Details of the bombing is still sketchy but our correspondent
said many people might have been killed as the area where
the explosion went off plays host to a lot of people every
day.
Earlier on Monday, suspected Boko Haram members had
sacked a military base in the Birni Yadi area before killing no
fewer than eight people.
The terrorists reportedly blew off a bridge linking Damaturu,
the state capital, through Birni Yadi with Borno and
Adamawa states.
Details later…

ACM10: Access Bank is the worst bank in Nigeria in terms of delivery of service. They issued me a new ATM(verve) card with a wrong pin. I later applied for a change of PIN, yet no response from them. Anytime I visits their bank, they will apologise and ask me to fill a new PIN reissue form. One month has passed, yet nothing happened. It's been a frustrating experience. I will wind down my business with them in the next two months and proceed to close my account with them. I can't stand their inefficiency.
Assuming u have money in ur account I cud av begged u 2 stay, sinx u ar alredy a pest on my desk pls find attached closure form n fill lemme close it now sharp sharp!

It is amazing hw some peeps becom judge and jury, Tinubu is currupt with all these facts and figures yet federal govt have nva prosecuted him or even a simple probe. It is now a cliche' to say a man is deemed innocent until pronounced guilty by a competent court of law. But even if he is currupt as claimed above, can one person tell me one politician who is not currupt? This piece is not abt wether Tinubu is currupt or not, it is about his achievements so far in the current democratic dispensation.

The man is a crowd mover, a mobiliser with forsight, even if APC fail 2 win by 2015, but atleast PDP for d 1st tym is loosing sleep over a presidential election, and all d credit goes to the opposition(Asiwaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu)

I do not only take him as Thisday man of the year, he is ''the man of the year''
