According to God's word at death man returns to non-existent {Ecclesiastes 9:5-10} that's why we have a lot of stories to defend Satan's lies regarding the living dead whereas the dead knows nothing neither can they remember anything because both humans and animals are from the dust and it's the same spirit they have {Ecclesiastes 3:19-20} the only difference between man and animals is the hope of resurrection God promised man {Job 14:13-15} apart from that there is nothing after death because at death man has fully paid for all his errors! The story of the rich man and Lazarus unveils the fact that the dead are conscious. Calling it a parable doesn't change the fact. Our Lord Jesus can't use something that is unreal to make a parable. Every parable he spoke are things that happens or could happen in real life.

This is a PARABLE not real life story there was no literal Lazarus who lived as a beggar the Bible God is not the God of beggars {Psalms 23:1} and there is no evil recorded as deeds of the so called rich man neither did Moses and other prophets live the same time.

The one refusing to listen to the law —Even his prayer is detestable. Proverbs 28:9

So before saying "amen" to any prayer return the cited scriptures because your prayers will become detestable before God for deleting His words.

Everyone wants peace but somehow the world's ruler of darkness are the reason why that is not possible {Ephesians 6:12} because the god of this world is a rebel so peace can't reign in his domain {2Corinthians 4:4 compare to 1John 5:19} that is why Jesus consoled us with this heart warming speech:

"I have said these things to you so that by means of me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but take courage! I have conquered the world.” John 16:33

This means PEACE can only reign among true Christians as love permeates their gathering {John 13:34-35} because they belong to the One whose name is LOVE! 1John 4:8

Meanwhile the whole world remains in darkness but His faithful ones are serving as light {Matthew 5:14-16 compare to Philippians 2:15} only for the one who allows them to share the message of light with him! John 3:19
