It's not visiting, it's joining. You don't visit church. You join the church. It's the direction of the Holy Book. It's the direction of God. He told us to come together in worship for him. As a Christian that you are, I'm sure you believe in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit did not decend when the followers of Christ were scattered. It came when they gathered as Church. Going to church does not make you a true Christian as you point out but according to the lead of the Lord worshipping together as believers glorifies God more than when you do it alone. Church brings a large atmosphere of God's presence in which every followers would be touched (if they are united) just like the Holy Spirit descended as fire and touch each of Christs followers.

With the way you talk it shows you know the meaning of that word "CHURCH"

So if anyone joins the church is it just by attending the worship center or joining Jesus' friends with the aim of preaching and teaching about God's Kingdom.

Do you think these people are ready to do that?

Pastor Kumuyi made this statement some years back when addressing church members in a local parish in the UK! Workers in the UK pay between 0-45% tax depending on their salaries!

My thoughts
- There is no harm paying tithes to support the church. Even though I personally don’t rate it since Jesus and the Apostles didn’t rate it . I however don’t frown on men of God who use tithes to genuinely take care of the poor and disadvantaged in the church.
- I personally believe more in the apostolic approach of wealth management in the church where the rich used their resources to eliminate poverty in the church. Every body brought everything and the Apostles shared equally. Nobody drove a Rolls Royce or flew a jet when others have not eaten.
