Christianity Etc › Re: RCCG STARTED AS A WHITE GARMENT CHURCH; CHOSEN STARTED FROM CATHOLIC CHURCH. by MaxInDHouse(m): 8:44am On Aug 18, 2025
WapMinistry:
The Founder of Jehovah's Witnesses was a member of another Church.
This is the wrong information passed to billions of people throughout the world but it's a lie!

The organization of Jehovah's Witnesses is the restoration of pure worship but as most people would like to believe all the existing churches today came from one that's still present which means they separated or as rightly stated protested to form another church.

Jehovah's Witnesses organization totally differs when it comes to the foundation of this church. Note that Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the baptist so most Jews in the first century believed that Jesus was one of the disciples of John the baptist since he was baptized by the later.
But is that the truth?
NO!
So if you are ready to know the difference between restored pure worship and man-made religions around you let me know and i will expatiate more.

God bless you and may you have peace!
Christianity Etc › Re: The White Throne Judgement by MaxInDHouse(m):
Jesus is the one speaking to John in the Bible book of Revelations:

A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent his angel and presented it in SIGNS through him to his slave John. Revelations 1:1

So the information given are signs as we already knew Jesus in his life and ministry {Hebrews 13:8} he teaches with parables {Matthew 13:13, 34} the signs aren't literal we must be humble because he has given the interpretations to his brothers {Matthew 25:40} all we need to do now is identify them so that they can interpret these signs for us.
In Jehovah's Witnesses organization these people are known as the faithful and discreet slave {Matthew 24:45} they are the ones teaching us all the meanings of those SIGNS {Matthew 28:20} God has promised in His word that the meaning of SYMBOLIC SIGNS in His words will be revealed to a set of people in the endtime {Daniel 12:8-10} do you notice that Daniel who penned down the SIGNS in the book written in his own name doesn't understand?
So it's humility and righteousness that can help us to IDENTIFY that group God is using in our time to interpret those SIGNS whoever feels he must be given the spirit to interpret it will continue to confuse himself and others. Zephaniah 2:2-3

Hades (Greek)
Hell (English)
Sheol (Hebrew)

All means the place of the dead where there is no activity {Ecclesiastes 9:5-10} so when God's word says anything in relation to Hades the first thing that comes to the minds of His worshipers is that place where there is no activity.

Why then is Jesus relating it to a place of torment?

As humans whatever we have seen or heard our brains stores it forever for example when we remember the days of Noah we think of the flood that swept people away {Matthew 24:39} and when we think of Sodom and Gomorrah all what comes to our minds is the fire that burnt the cities to ashes {Matthew 10:19} so today we know popular people who doesn't have time for God or think of how to become his friend according to Jesus they will be destroyed when God's Kingdom comes {John 3:16} but then can we totally erase their memories?
NO! We will never ever forget them in fact we will continue to tell generations to come what God did to Satan, rebellious angels and disobedient humans that followed their path! Revelations Revelations 20:10; 21:8

God doesn't have anything to do with Satan, demons and evildoers the sight of someone in pain doesn't bring Him praise rather it pains Him seeing people suffer or tormented.
So if anyone wants to understand the real meaning of those SIGNS all you need is humbly ask questions and pray to God so that He will send His worshipers to TEACH you but if you feel you can know it all by yourself it's OK no one will disturb you from interpreting it for yourself.

Thanks for your time!

I get your point.
When the people are corrupt, they affect the planet as well. Everything o n the planet today is subject to decay. The Earth ain't as fertile as it used to be. Haven't you noticed that the quality of things have dropped. Man made pollution have brought about a dearth in the quality of livestock, marine life and plants. So when God removes the evildoers and assign them their place after the White Throne Judgement, He'll restore the Earth to its original design and quality.
For my recent post here's the link:

Regarding the damage man has done to his home God said:

"A generation is going, and a generation is coming, But the earth remains forever" Ecclesiastes 1:4

But talking about the condition of our planet home presently this is what God promised:

Let peoples praise you, O God; Let all the peoples praise you. The earth will give its produce; God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, And all the ends of the earth will fear him. Psalms 67:5-7

When the earth is filled with only those who know God's will we are going to renovate the planet and God Himself will give us His blessings so that Paradise will be restored in no time.
That is why all members of Jehovah's Witnesses must know how to work on the field because at that time there will be no more slavery so if you want to live in Paradise you must learn farming now! Isaiah 65:21-23

I think I see your point. The Earth and all that's in it at present has been corrupted by the devil in order to make it fit for His Children, God will have to do away with the things that make up this old earth, it's people and the god that controls it and remodel or remake the earth to conform with the original system He instituted in Genesis 1.
The planet can never be affected either by Satan, demons or evildoers the only creatures they can affect or infect are humans like you and i that's why God's word said:

Keep silent before Jehovah And wait expectantly for him. Do not be upset by the man Who succeeds in carrying out his schemes. Let go of anger and abandon rage; Do not become upset and turn to doing evil. For evil men will be done away with, But those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth.  Just a little while longer, and the wicked will be no more; You will look at where they were, And they will not be there. But the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace. Psalms 37:7-11

That's what Jesus promised us when he asked us to pray for God's Kingdom to come so that God's will will be done in planet earth as it's been done in Heaven! Matthew 6:10

This will only happen after the great white throne Judgement and after God had done away with this Earth as it is and usher in a new Heaven and Earth.
The New Heaven and New Earth is not a literal thing because God promised never to destroy our planet or harm all things on the earth again! Genesis 8:21-22

Christianity Etc › Re: From Pulpit To Politics: Why Pastors Hold So Much Power In Nigeria by MaxInDHouse(m): 4:01pm On Aug 17, 2025
A Christian can't be a politician because he must promote whatever the masses wants or behave as if he's not concerned. For instance if a man wants to be president over people who practices homosexuality or lesbianism he mustn't speak against them at all and if they demands he appoints one of them into his cabinet failure to do so means he's jeopardizing his stay in office!
That's why Paul wrote to Christians in Galatia:

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

You must become friends with people practicing these things to be the man of the people {James 4:4} that's what Satan was inviting Jesus to come and do! Luke 4:5-7 smiley

Politics belongs to Satan and his cohorts that's why God warned the Israelites in the days of Samuel because if they chose humans to rule over them those rulers have the right to do and undo:

Samuel told all the words of the Lord to the people who were asking him for a king. He said, “This is what the king who will reign over you will claim as his rights: He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots. Some he will assign to be commanders of thousands and commanders of fifties, and others to plow his ground and reap his harvest, and still others to make weapons of war and equipment for his chariots. He will take your daughters to be perfumers and cooks and bakers. He will take the best of your fields and vineyards and olive groves and give them to his attendants. He will take a tenth of your grain and of your vintage and give it to his officials and attendants. Your male and female servants and the best of your cattle and donkeys he will take for his own use. He will take a tenth of your flocks, and you yourselves will become his slaves. When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, but the Lord will not answer you in that day.”
1Samuel 8:10-18 NIV

When David (a womanizer) misbehaved God didn't kill him because he was far better than all his contemporaries when considering anyone for that post as he loves to hold God's sovereignty seriously than anything else yet he has his own personal weakness: womanizing.
Today when most people read about David being the man after God's heart they keep complaining why such a womanizer could have a special place in God's heart!
But what is the difference between Kings chosen by God and worldly politicians?
God's chosen king must subject themselves under God's laws humbly accepting corrections but politicians seek the support of the masses believing they are his power!

JovialJune:
Stop mentioning verses in the bible to promote falsehood,

The quoted verses you mentioned never showed condemnation, surrendering is totally different from condemnation.

Luke 18:18-23 tells the story of a rich young ruler who asks Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life. Jesus challenges the ruler's understanding of goodness and his attachment to his wealth, revealing that true discipleship requires a willingness to surrender everything, including possessions, for the sake of following him.

John 14:30 states, "I will not talk with you much longer, for the prince of this world is coming. He has no hold on me". This verse is Jesus speaking to his disciples, informing them that his time with them is nearing its end. He foretells the arrival of the "prince of this world," a term used for Satan, and clarifies that Satan has no power or claim over him. This signifies Jesus's voluntary submission to his fate and his victory over Satan's power.

Corinthians 4:4 states, "For I know nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord." This verse emphasizes that while Paul is not aware of any wrongdoing in his ministry, his ultimate accountability is to God, not to human judgment.

1 John 5:19 declares, "We know that we are of God, and that the whole world lies in the power of the evil one." This verse contrasts believers, who are described as being "of God," with the world, which is portrayed as being under the sway of Satan. It highlights a fundamental spiritual reality: the existence of a spiritual battle between God's kingdom and the forces of darkness, represented by Satan.

Nowhere does it say Christians should not participate in politics.
The word politics doesn't appear in the Bible just as smoking but we know what it leads to which Jesus condemns among his disciples.

For instance how can members of the same church participate in politics while brother A belongs to PDP and brother B belongs to APC can their supporters remain united in faith? John 17:22; 1Corinthans 1:10

How do you think protesters against PDP government be in the same church when the governor they are protesting against is right there in the congregation?

Well Paul said the God of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers so that the teachings of Christ which supposed to yield LOVE among believers won't work in their gathering! 2Corinthians 4:4

No wonder only Jehovah's Witnesses have love among themselves globally as true disciples of Christ Jesus! John 13:34-35 wink

They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told

Next time, try not to be clever by quarter, it shows being unwise when quoting one verse to suit a baseless narrative, Christians quote accompanying verses for better understanding of the scriptures.

‭John 17:6-14 NIV‬
JESUS PRAYS FOR HIS DISCIPLES

[6] “I have revealed you to those whom you gave me out of the world. They were yours; you gave them to me and they have obeyed your word.

[7] Now they know that everything you have given me comes from you.

[8] For I gave them the words you gave me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from you, and they believed that you sent me.

[9] I pray for them. I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

[10] All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them.

[11] I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one.

[12] While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.

[13] “I am coming to you now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them.

[14] I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.

‭John 18:28-37 NIV‬
JESUS BEFORE PILATE

[28] Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover.

[29] So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?”

[30] “If he were not a criminal,” they replied, “we would not have handed him over to you.”

[31] Pilate said, “Take him yourselves and judge him by your own law.” “But we have no right to execute anyone,” they objected.

[32] This took place to fulfill what Jesus had said about the kind of death he was going to die. [33] Pilate then went back inside the palace, summoned Jesus and asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?”

[34] “Is that your own idea,” Jesus asked, “or did others talk to you about me?”

[35] “Am I a Jew?” Pilate replied. “Your own people and chief priests handed you over to me. What is it you have done?”

[36] Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

[37] “You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

The verses quoted has nothing to do with instructing Christians not to participate in Politics.

Wisdom is profitable to direct.

Christianity Etc › Re: RICH PEOPLE GO TO HEAVEN: YOU CAN BE RIGHTEOUS AND RICH! by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:03am On Aug 17, 2025
Going by what Jesus taught it's hard for anyone who is rich to inherit God's Kingdom:

"Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to get through a needle’s eye than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God.” Matthew 19:24

So Jesus didn't say it's impossible for rich people but really difficult.

WHY?

Because mostly riches comes along with the fear of returning to poverty so those having it protects it with all they can do but in Christianity if one man in the midst of 200 fellow believers is a billionaire while the rest are poor he must share whatever he has with them not giving his money to them literally but whenever the need arises in the congregation he mustn't allow unbelievers to support his fellow believers for their needs that's his responsibility which means buying expensive stuffs like a car worth the money to buy 10 cars when members of his congregation can't feed conveniently.

So among his colleagues who are equally rich like him he will become the least because while those ones are spending their money lavishly he must care for his fellow believers with all his riches as if he has sold his riches and given it's proceeds to his poor brothers in the faith! Luke 18:22

In this way onlookers won't see him as rich as Dangote or Otedola because he spends less on himself but more on his fellow believers otherwise he can't please the God of Israel! Deuteronomy 15:4

God included this in the laws given to the Israelites:

“If men should struggle with each other and they hurt a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely but no fatality results, the offender must pay the damages imposed on him by the husband of the woman; and he must pay it through the judges. But if a fatality does occur, then you must give life for life,  eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, burn for burn, wound for wound, blow for blow. Exodus 21:22-25

If someone mistakenly injured the baby in the womb of a pregnant woman God says if the child dies (stillbirth) such a man must be killed, if it's any part of the child's body that's missing after delivery such a must pay with the same part of the body.
A commentator above adds that John in Elizabeth's womb lift for joy meaning the child is alive so whoever kills such a fetus deserves to die going by scriptural principles! embarassed

I will advise you to stop confusing yourself and probably give your Bible for people who can interpret it correctly for you. The genesis you are talking about. Gen. 18 20-21. It was angels in form of humans that branched to visit Abraham, on their journey to Sodom & Gomorrah for destruction that was talking and not God himself. You deliberately carved out previous verses 16-19, in other to look real and proof nonsense point. Let me educate. God created humans in such a way he can decide good and bad and chooses the one he likes, meanwhile, the consequences of his actions will also come back to him, either good or bad.
Please did that verse say what you wrote in the highlighted or you just fabricated it to suit your own agenda?

Here is what is written in three different versions of the Bible:

And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know. Genesis 18:20-21 KJV

Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.” ‭Genesis 18:20-21 NIV‬

Then Jehovah said: “The outcry against Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah is indeed great, and their sin is very heavy. I will go down to see whether they are acting according to the outcry that has reached me. And if not, I can get to know it.” Genesis 18:20-21 NWT

Please which version of the Bible do you say told you it's an angel that's speaking in this two verses?

If Jesus condemned religious titles among his own followers {Matthew 23:8-10} that's to say whoever is recognized outside the congregation with a title having to do with religion is not a Christian! undecided
