It's become a norm in our societies today seeing pastors, evangelists, and upcoming Xtian brothers and sisters preaching along the roads, in the markets, in parks etc. I have also noticed that less or no individual listens to their preaching because of busy schedules. My question is; is it really necessary? Does it serve the purpose it's intended?
What's your take on this?

Preaching in Bible times was two types?

First was the preaching God's prophets did before our common era (b.c.e) back then the nation of Israel had two Kings the first is their God who brought them out of Egypt and conquered all inhabitants of Canaan for His worshipers to inherit the place this King is a Spirit who lives forever the other kings were humans that Israelites later demanded for themselves! 1Samuel 8:6-7
Their real King (God) has the right to send town criers (prophets) to deliver urgent messages or warnings to them so this prophets (town criers) can stand in any of their streets or cities to deliver the message of their God (King) at any time.
But in our common era (c.e) things have changed a lot the Israelites had turned against their God (King) countless times {Matthew 21:43} so this King or God no longer send town criers (prophets) to enter into their streets shouting.
WHY? Because by the time Jesus walked the earth another nation out of several nations that's been ruling over Israelites is in charge of their public affairs so it is inappropriate for any town crier (prophet) to enter the streets shouting in the name of any God as their rulers may take such as disturbing the peace in their domain that's the reason why God did not send John the baptist into their towns or streets when it's time for this prophet to declare the coming of Christ rather this prophet was shouting in the wilderness! Matthew 3:1
So it was in the wilderness that faithful Jews were going to meet this prophet to know the message their God had for them! Matthew 3:5-6

After Jesus (a carpenter) got baptized by John it was revealed to John that this is the Christ that John came to prepare the way for {John 1:33} so Jesus took over the job from John the baptist and from that moment John began receiving less attention while Jesus started getting more {John 3:25-30} that was how Jesus began preaching and teaching and all the people were going to him.

QUESTION!
Was Jesus shouting in the streets?
ANSWER!

He first gathered his trusted childhood friends and started going from house to house preaching and the theme of his preaching is the same as that of John the baptist {Matthew 3:2; 4:17} but instead of shouting in the wilderness he approaches doors and greets householders before delivering his speech this reminded his disciples of what has been foretold about the Christ:

Look! My servant, whom I support! My chosen one, whom I have approved! I have put my spirit in him; He will bring justice to the nations.  He will not cry out or raise his voice, And he will not make his voice heard in the street. No crushed reed will he break, And no smoldering wick will he extinguish. In faithfulness he will bring justice. He will not grow dim or be crushed until he establishes justice in the earth; And the islands keep waiting for his law. Isaiah 42:1-4 compare to Matthew 12:19
So Jesus commissioned the preaching and teaching of God's Kingdom message from house to house and door to door so that his real disciples don't disturb passersby with noise. They are to go and knock people's doors, greet householders and ask for permission to speak before delivering their messages! Matthew 10:11-13
Do you know a religion whose preaching and teaching activities is the same as this today?

After that Satan will be given the chance to do the same thing he did to Adam and Eve when they both have everything at their finger tips. It's then that whoever follows Satan will be killed or destroyed along with Satan forever.
Until then they are still sleeping in their graves awaiting resurrection.

Unfortunately for people who lived during our era (after Jesus) majority will not be resurrected after their death.

(1) When you treated preachers badly and someone else call you to order.
(2) When your conscience disturbs you. Romans 2:14-15

Jesus' true disciples are almost everywhere now preaching zealously and industriously teaching honest hearted people in your neighborhood so try to engage them in discussions, argue with them, question their beliefs and listen to what they have to say but most importantly humbly welcome what you know there is no better way to do it {Zephaniah 2:2-3} your salvation now is in discussing with Jesus' disciples while angels are penning down the names of those engaging in scriptural discussions {Malachi 3:16} because in the last days if your name is not found in that book! Revelations 20:15

Those engaging themselves in this discussion throughout the world are living WITNESSES {Act 1:8} that the Christ has come and established the way of holiness! Isaiah 35:8

The first time i joined your thread it was QuinQ that mentioned me when you asked a question regarding "NEIGHBOR" he said i won't agree that everyone is my neighbor and i corrected him that surely every living human is my neighbor but only Jehovah's Witnesses are my brothers.
Instead of you to focus on your thread you began attacking me as if you are no longer interested in the opinion of different people.
The second time you raised another topic it was about God creating Satan my comment was the first to join you on the thread your so called "brothers in Christ" didn't know what to say but as soon as they noticed my comments they rushed in and instead of dropping their own comments it's to counter mine and you immediately welcome what they are doing.
Now is another thread please let them contribute to the ongoing discussion after all they claim to be believers so they should have one thing or another to say and back it up with scriptures not to hide as if they don't see your thread only to pulp out of nowhere after seeing my comments and start countering what i say.

I'm one of Jehovah's Witnesses we don't share the same line of thought with any other religion whether such religion claims Christians or not once they don't want to submit to our Governing Body we separate ourselves from them.
That's why you see your friends trying to argue with me at every slight chance.
Please let your friends claiming Christians comment on this because i don't want a situation where they will be hiding as if they don't see your posts only to start condemning my comments expecting me to argue with them instead of expressing their own beliefs.

The Bible verse is not authentic it's found in John 8:2-12
Later translations omitted this verses as additional or not found in older manuscripts so it's not found in the New World Translation (JW Bible) that is why i can't comment on this.

Well if you're reading this ask for the names of Churches where gay marriage is approved not just praying for the church {Proverbs 28:9; Jeremiah 11:14} because God has given His own worshipers another group name: JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES {Isaiah 65:15} go to all the nations throughout the world you can't see a single member of this religion who is into politics {John 17:14-16} none of them is trained to kill {Matthew 26:52} and there can never ever be gay marriage in God's organization!

JEHOVAH'S WITNESS is operating at a different level.
They have been steadfast, resolute and committed.
I hold no grudge against them. They downplay commercialization of churches.
They entertain persecutions a lot, in fact more than several Christian bodies.
Seems in their church everyone is at same level irrespective of your degree, financial acquaintance and contacts.
And it seems they obey the Bible the most:
-They hardly disturb neighbors during prayers.
-They frown at intimidation and flamboyant lifestyles.
-They ensure financial gifts are covered and never displeased at whatever they recieve.
-Their members would make good politicians but they frown at politics
I respect them. I judge based on actions and not what I'm told.

Quite true. JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES are actually one of the few denominations who are still following Christ. Most churches now are headed by motivational speakers who only use the name of Jesus to preach other things. The goal is to attract members to their church and the members will bring the money.

I would love to be a JEHOVAH'S WITNESS, because of their gentle life. Relaxed service and programs(not those stressful and loud types), and serenity of their church yard. Infact, its this serenity of their abode that blows my mind!

But the thing that worries me, is their misled teachings. How can you say that we are not going to die, but remain on earth and unite with our love ones and live happily together forever!

When we say there is nothing like what the churches called "denominations" but different religions claiming Christians some people will start insulting us.
Is it wise now to ask what is the name of these churches blessing gay marriages?
After all they can never ever be Jehovah's Witnesses!

I was at redeem camp for youth convention. If I am not wrong, the youths there might not be less than a million. Accommodation and feeding was free (feeding to some extent) How do you think they provide that, do you know how much I will spend to lodge and feed in a hotel for 4/5 days

Meanwhile Jehovah's Witnesses do hold larger gatherings than your rccg people but instead of giving exaggerated figures we count those in attendance to know the actual numbers just as our brothers in the first century always do.
Many concerts from Deeperlife and rccg are JWs today due to our being well organized. For your information there is always arrangements for congregations to clean up wherever we use be it our own assembly grounds or rented Halls you can go and ask how JWs do take good care of rented facilities before and after we use them.

The words "Go and sin no more" used said by Jesus to the Adulteress is an act of mercy. Our fallen nature makes us guilty and wanna hide in shame as we suddenly feel inadequate and unworthy to stand before our Lord. It was the same mistake Adam was guilty of when he ate the Forbidden fruit and realize that he was naked. See God never intended for us to hide from Him but to run to Him no matter the gravity of our sin.
Romans 8:1&2 says "There's now no CONDEMNATION to those who are in Christ Jesus for the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the Law of Sin and death
When we miss it, instead of hiding in shame and feeling guilty, we should go to the Master who knows our frame and frail nature.

The story ends with Jesus asking the Adulteress where her accusers are to which she replied that they've all left her alone. His words to her were "neither do I condemn thee. Go and sin no more that was the end of her ability to sin and the birth of her redemption.

The balance left for you are just your conjecture. It's written boldly in the scripture that THE EYES OF JEHOVAH is on both the bad and the good. You can deny it but can't remove that from God's word. Funny thing about God's word denial is the ability to raise anything above God. You agreed Angels have the ability to "SEE EVERYTHING" around them but God doesn't have the same ABILITY. Can you imagine that?

Body of persons, such as priests, who are trained and ordained for religious service.
So they can be found in different religious sects but in the first century it's only the Apostles and Elders in Jerusalem that's leading the disciples of Christ.
Today due to diverse options and view of the people in general the word Clergy now has different meanings in the minds of people!

So how do we get a balance view?

It was revealed to Ezekiel that there are angels given the ability to see everything around them.

Ezekiel 10:9-12
These are the ones serving as eyes who are reporting matters to God and when He feels like inspecting to see the extent to which things has gone wrong He will do so as He did in the case of Sodom and Gomorrah.
