I didn't cite the verse to indicate Jesus said "worship me". According to Damina it pointed to his conclusion that Jesus is God.

If anyone cares to know the meaning of Revelations 1:17-18 Jesus said he is the first and last among spirit beings who died and was raised from the dead!

Spirit sons of God don't grow old or weak so they can't die naturally but Jesus died for the sin of mankind and was raised from the dead which makes him the first and last to experience these and no other spirit son of God who dies to be raised again because their death will mean direct judgement from God not due to kindness to save as Jesus did!
