I know new ideas don't sell fast but they eventually sell if well articulated overtime. I know that is true for the academia. It applies to anybody trying to force change. However it will be wrong to say the Jews have been rejecting all their prophets and it would be wrong to say Jesus' curse is working on them today. They went on exile to Babylon before Jesus was born and were expelled from Judea/Palestine after the exit of Jesus but now they are back there. Once again I don't think the Jews were wrong about Jesus. Anybody that says they are God or are above other humans in any form have at least psychiatric problems. Many people like that are in psychiatric homes today
Jesus said they will be killed but warned his disciples to flee and never return to Jerusalem so his true disciples left that city and never returned.
Today that nation can't have the peace they always wanted because they taught they could get it without Jesus and history have proved that they are wrong! smiley

Are you now saying Noah and Lot were Jewish or that Moses was unpopular among Jews?. That any prophet had some issues with some people does not mean they were rejected by the community as Jesus was
The truth is there has never been a time when the majority accepted a true prophet unless God forced such a prophet on them!
Moses was opposed several times by his own people but God kept destroying all opposers of Moses.
Jesus said that will no longer be the case because what he brought doesn't end among the Israelites so if Jesus and his disciples have to destroy their opposers it won't be out of freewill that people will become Christians but by force.
So when the Jews in general rejected Jesus he told them that their nation has been rejected by God and till today they never had peace! smiley

It would be wrong to state that the majority of Jews rejected their prophets back then that they still revere today. Yes, those people may have had opponents but not the majority. However Jesus was utterly rejected back then and now by the majority.
You can't lie to defend what you don't know!

In the days of Noah only seven people believe Noah.
In the days of lot only three people survived the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
In the days of Moses 250 chieftains in Israel were against Moses.
In the days of Elijah 450 prophets were against Elijah.
The Jews themselves can't deny any of these things so stop defending what you don't know! smiley

I am.not talking about Jews that have become Christians. We all know that Christianity even started as an all Jew affair. It was a sect of Judaism before it started admitting Gentiles
You said:
lawani:
"no Jew believe today in the virgin birth"
According to the Bible majority of Jews don't believe true prophets of God that is why God kept sending prophets to them and they keep on killing those prophets so if you are banking on what majority of Jews told you then you have been thoroughly deceived.
Ask a Jew if Moses was a prophet of their God they will tell you "YES" but ask who were those opposing Moses in the wilderness? They will tell you that if they were alive in the time of Moses they won't join those opposers.
Ask a Jew if Elijah was a prophet of their God they will answer "YES" but ask them who were those opposing Elijah back then they will tell you that if they were alive back then they won't join those opposing Elijah.
That's how majority of Jews keep opposing true prophets of God.
As for the virgin birth it's written in their own books that a virgin will become pregnant! Isaiah 7:14
I once quoted this verse for a Jew he said that verse was talking about a young woman then i asked him what is extraordinary in a young woman getting pregnant if that's what Isaiah meant?
He became provoked and walked away!
So if you keep banking on what majority of Jews are saying then you are not searching for truth.
As a Yorùbá man you know what our adage says:

* "Ayé kọ òótọ́"
*"Olóòọ́tọ́ kìí l'ẹ́ní"
*"Òtítọ́ d'ọ́jà ó kùtà, ọ̀wọ́n gógó ni aráyé ra irọ́"

All these Proverbs are saying majority of people hates the truth.
Jesus himself warned us not to follow the crowd because majority are carried away with deceit as their minds are twisted! Matthew 7:13-14 compare to Exodus 23 1:2

What is everlasting life?
You avoided a question I asked you to give scripture evidence why you said only corulers with Christ are born again.
So, answer the two questions now or I will expose you.
If you don't know the meaning of what is written in plain English "EVERLASTING LIFE" then what do you know in the Bible?
You don't deserve any response but for the benefit of interested followers i will answer.
God told Adam and Eve that if they eat of the fruit of good and evil they will die {Genesis 2:17} and they ate from it that is why we are growing old and dying otherwise Adam would have been alive till today so God is reversing the situation so that we won't die again rather we will live forever. Psalms 37:29
That is what God's word called "EVERLASTING LIFE"

God never promised humans heavenly life {Psalms 115:16} that's why there was no preparation in heaven for humans to live before the coming of Christ {John 14:2} so those going there can't go with flesh and blood {1Corinthans 15:50} that's why they need another body {1Corinthans 15:44} all those who are going to rule with Christ in heaven will be given that new body {Matthew 22:11-12} that's what Jesus meant by saying "many were called but few are chosen" {Matthew 22:14} because they will become like angels no gender difference there {Luke 20:34-36} so they need a rebirth that's what BORN AGAIN means.

You can never ever substantiate like this all you know is what church pastors told you! cheesy

If someone said today 'I and the father are one' as Jesus was recorded to have said in John 10:30 would you consider that blasphemous or not?. Let us face it, Jesus was an apostate. The Jews were right to have apostasy laws but it should not have been capital punishment. However Jesus was not the first or last to be executed for apostasy.
When God's word said about the husband and wife:

"a man will leave his father and his mother and he will stick to his wife, and they will become One" Genesis 2:24

Does it mean that both are equals?

When Jesus said:

"I have given them the glory that you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are one" John 17:22

Is he saying all his disciples will become God?
Christianity Etc › Re: Were The Jews Right To Execute Jesus Christ? by MaxInDHouse(m): 9:44am On Jul 31, 2025
The Jews were wrong!
The first prophet given the power to perform miracles like a God is Moses {Exodus 7:1} and God told the Israelites that there has not risen any prophet like him until the end of the old covenant. Deuteronomy 34:10-12
God also told the Israelites that a prophet like Moses will rise among the Israelites {Deuteronomy 18:18} God warned them that whoever failed to listen to this prophet will be condemned {Deuteronomy 18:19} so from that time on the Israelites were looking forward to seeing the promised prophet but none of those who came after Moses proved to be greater than Moses until the day John the baptist began declaring in the wilderness that someone is coming after him who existed before him {John 1:30} everyone knew that John was six months older than Jesus so what exactly did John mean by that statement?
Well John is indirectly telling them that it's time to meet the promised prophet!
Jesus surely proved to be greater than all the prophets put together through his miracles and the Jews acknowledged this but they don't want him for a reason you should know!
The Jews were an arrogant race who feels they are the most important race in all the earth so when Jesus told them that they have to show love to their neighbors by humbly seeking friendship with people who aren't even worshipers of their God they felt that will make them vulnerable to attack from their enemies and most importantly the Romans who are forcefully colonizing them will have a upper hand {John 11:48} that is the very reason why they conspired to have him killed! John 11:53

So he never claimed to be equal with God he said God is GREATER than him! John 14:28

He never claimed to be God rather he said he is one of the worshipers of God and himself with other worshipers are BROTHERS that's what God never said about His worshipers God never called any of His worshipers His brother! John 20:17
lawani:
Were the Jews right to execute Jesus Christ?.

First of all, some people insist it was not the Jews that killed Jesus but the Romans but I do not support this view because Jesus was not a threat to Rome in any way. He did not oppose Roman authority and when according to a Bible account he was prodded by the Jews on Rome, he advised everybody to pay tax to Emperor Caesar. He was not a viable messiah and only viable messiahs with large followings were engaged by Rome. A Jewish messiah is someone that will free their country from Rome as at then and make them sovereign again. Many people that assumed that role were killed by Rome and when their followers still insisted they rose from the dead, a particular one was left in a gulley to rot so that everybody can see he did not rise up again.
Back to the Jews and Jesus Christ. I believe Jesus Christ was killed either directly or indirectly by Jewish theocrats for being an apostate. He broke blasphemy laws. Going by what is happening in today’s world where people are allowed to make all kinds of theological claims and brainwash people causing death and misery all over the world, I believe there should be apostasy laws. People should not be free to publicly make any claim about God that they deem fit. They should especially not be able to make claims putting themselves on super human pedestals. There is nothing any human being is that other human beings can not become and if we don't respect that fact we will have issues in our society. In that light I support the Jews that had apostasy laws to prosecute Jesus Christ with in the first century. Though that was not his name but a Greek alias.
What I don't support is the severity of the sentence.
Jesus Christ was prosecuted by the Jews specifically because he publicly claimed to be greater than David, Moses and etc and went further to say he was equal with God. All in public. He claimed to be a leader (more or less King) of the Jews and the Romans were involved because of that. He however never led any insurrection against Rome and did say that his own Kingdom is in the minds of men. The Romans did not see any reason to convict him and they handed him over to the Jews according to the Bible.
In conclusion, were the Jews right to prosecute Jesus Christ?. Yes but the sentence was too severe. However in the past and even in modern times, sentencing for apostasy are always that severe. Since Jesus, many people have been executed for apostasy.
Christianity Etc › Re: Make Sure You Know Where You Are Going Before It Is Too Late by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:24am On Jul 31, 2025
When it comes to a certainty of where a worshiper belongs Jesus only gives one sign which is in line with what has been written centuries before Jesus was born!

Peter asked in behalf of all the disciples:

“Look! We have left all things and followed you; what, then, will there be for us?” Matthew 19:27

Jesus responded:

“Truly I say to you, no one has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for my sake and for the sake of the good news who will not get 100 times more now in this period of time—houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields, with persecutions—and in the coming system of things, everlasting life." Mark 10:29-30

The promise God made to faithful people is everlasting life {Psalms 37:29} and that's what Jesus re-echoed in their ears {John 3:16} but before then Jesus told his disciples that many will be deceived into following a road which leads to destruction {Matthew 7:13-14} so how can his disciples be certain that they are still on the path to salvation or how can they be sure that they are truly in the right religion?

First of all Jesus commissioned a team of preachers and commanded them to keep on preaching and teaching to the most distant part of the earth! Matthew 28:19-20

For what purpose?

Before Jesus walked the earth two prophets of God name Isaiah and Micah foretold saying:

In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and all nations will stream to it. Many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He will judge between the nations and will settle disputes for many peoples. They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. ‭Isaiah 2:2-4 & Micah 4:1-3 NIV‬
This means a group of people will preach from house to house and door to door about the government of God that will bring peace and security to mankind in general {Daniel 2:44} and they will succeed in fetching members throughout the earth and within their group they will inculcate love of God and of neighbors in the minds of each member so that they will agree to divert their resources into production of food and information materials stop producing buying selling and using of weapons vow never to raise weapons against anyone again!

This is what Jesus came to establish when he commissioned a global campaign {Act 1:8} so that if you are one of his true disciples everywhere you go on this planet you can just look for one of your brothers as fellow disciple of Christ and dwell with them just as Jesus himself did after preaching throughout the land of Israel! Luke 22:11

So according to what Jesus said at Mark 10:29-30 are you a member of a global group whose members can claim they can go anywhere in the world today and feel at home in the midst of their fellow believers?

Well according to God's only begotten Son Jesus Christ that is the only sign showing that you are in the right religion which leads to everlasting life! Matthew 19:29-30

God bless you and may you have Peace!
Christianity Etc › Re: Dr. Abel Damina Corrects Major Doctrinal Falsehood by MaxInDHouse(m):
Where is the fruit of his ministry?
Jesus Christ said:
"Be on the watch for the false prophets who come to you in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? Likewise, every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit. A good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, nor can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. Every tree not producing fine fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Really, then, by their fruits you will recognize those men." Matthew 7:15-20
As a tree planted by the one and only true God Himself {John 15:1} the fruit Jesus who is the tree produced is a group of preachers and teachers who are going from house to house declaring the message he taught them to declare God's Kingdom {Matthew 10:7} Jesus begged his father to keep this group together as one big team with the same line of thought {John 17:22} and Jesus also foretold that throughout the earth this group will continue this work as his WITNESSES {Act 1:8} and people everywhere will acknowledge that there is LOVE permeating the gathering of his fruit {John 13:34-35} because as a group they will yield the fruitage of the spirit of his father whose qualities are LOVE JOY PEACE PATIENCE GOODNESS KINDNESS FAITH MILDNESS and SELF-CONTROL! Galatians 5:22-23
So if this so called Abel Damina is a good tree where are members of his church so that their activities could be noticed at least within Nigeria to prove that he's producing something worthwhile?
Well for your information Jesus said the bad tree won't produce any good fruit so such once will only make noise in the media (Facebook, Instagram and YouTube) to gain more fans.
Surely you know what that means!

Your Bible is nothing but a mere Isreali story book consisting of myths and fables not meant to be taken literally. Take for example, there is no historical evidence the Jews were ever slaves in Egypt. You have to come up with real evidence not mere Bible quotes if you want to be taken seriously
In as much as i respected you for your sincerity pardon me for saying you are wrong in this case.
The official religion of Egypt is Islam and their football team is called Pharaohs of Egypt.
If truthfully Israelites were never slaves in Egypt how come it's written in the Quran that Pharaoh was punished for trying to destroy God's people and that a man named "Moses" is the one leading God's people?
Do you think Egyptians would accept the religion that keeps such a record if truly Israelites were never slaves in Egypt?
The truth is that it's rare for people to keep such records first of all it means Egyptians were idol worshipers before Islam was brought to them so if they are against idolatry they are hypocrites secondly it means their ancestors and gods were all defeated by just One God who came from the wilderness to free thousands of slaves not with an army of youths but with just two feeble octogenarians: Moses and Aaron. huh
Surely they are confused but they just have to deny what actually happened! smiley
