You really don't know America. You find so many Virgins under 18 here. How can u even reach them for sex when there are laws protecting them.

On make up, you hardly find university students making up. They are virtually natural. You need to live among them to know they have upright morals

I don't think so, maybe they are referring to unregistered brothels, here that girls are advertising their self on bill boards and news papers about the services they can render to their customers, it is a crime in missouri to pay for sex, literary meaning that it should be seen as an act of compensation for kindness done by the lady, not that it is a crime for girls to prostitute

Not true, Prostitution is legalized in US; Gay marriage is also legalized
I don't know. In my state, Missouri, prostitution is a crime. You know US operates state law. It could be different in some other states. Prostitution is a big crime in many of the states I know. However, there are backpack where ladies advertise but they usually say the money is appreciation for companionship.

Why arrest them in the first place? It's that they are doing illegally without registering it or what? Because as far as I'm concerned, prostitution is allowed in US.

Good evening all.
I have been offered conditional admission in Selkirk College, CA to do PGD. I am told to pay my tuition fee before unconditional admission letter will be given to me for VISA Application. Should I go ahead to pay at least half? Also, i am having challenge finding a sponsor with substantial cash as my Dad is late, what should I do? Thanks
why do you choose to disturb yourself like this. Sit down I write GRE and Toefl and look for school that will give you scholarship. it doesn't mean you must attend any school that offer you admission. Many schools they hustle oo. In fact all the school they husle wella!

I will be paying about $15,000 out of pocket. That is not really a problem for me, the ish is the cost of living in MA. I actually applied to this school cuz they give application fee waiver for Nigerians and they also waived TOEFL, though I wrote it. I didn't think I would get in coz of their low acceptance rate.
Brandeis is a US top 50 school. They give an average of $30,000 all admitted student to defray their tuition of about $46,000. Besides the $16,000 you need to cover up for tuition, you will need an additional $15000 to survive in Boston. Please plan carefully when you do accept this offer. What course did you apply to? The Heller School should be your best choice otherwise you have to think if it is worth it?

Many a time, most people do mix up gutlessness and laziness for introversion. Excuse me, from what you stated above, you come across like a gutless and lazy person and your introvert nature compounded it.

Confident and hyperactive introverts never have issues at their work place or with people in general. I am a confident, maverick and hyperactive introvert and I command admiration, trust and respect of people wherever I find myself.
I tire for the guy o. I know inwardly, I am an introvert but I have got style. Even my steppings alone, you go hail na!

In a serious work environment, being an introvert shouldn't matter. It is your productivity that should matter. If everyone is busy gisting, how does any serious work get done? She is an unserious lady and her business will soon run down.

An introvert is actually a deep thinker, and quite intelligent and creative. Your type is an asset to any organization if your talents are Channeled properly. Please look for a serious company to work for. Don't feel bad. You just worked with a shallow and dull set of people.
But he was making blunders. He would have been more respected if his work was flawless

congrats. You were lucky! This is not a powerful interview. It could have swing the other way. Your answers where in phrases and short. Not a good way to answer interview questions. But she saw you are genuine. She got this from your work experience and closely aligned undergraduate course. It was a bright idea for you to have chip in "cheap school fees" because that is one consideration they acknowledge in choosing schools.

I do not condemn you but letting others not to copy your style without recognizing your unique situation. Congrats again!

Yeah. I just wish the adcoms would recognise that. But they seem more interested in the raw gpas without recognising the marked difference in grading / teaching systems. I don't blame them sha. They work with what they have.
You really cannot do direct comparison here. Many Nigerian students are shortchanged. Many lecturers need to be tutored on how to lead class, how to set and grade exams. There are things you shouldn't examine students on yet our naija lecturer go on to root them out for examination. Sometimes, students are tested on untaught areas. At the end, they are so strict with marking! In US, if you failed, you are either dull or indolent but you can fail woefully in Nigeria while working very hard.

On the flip side, naija students hardly grab concept of their subjects. They don't know the objective, aim and applicability of taught subjects. grin. they just read/cram to pass. For instant, don't be surprised if some final engineering students in mechanical do not know what is torque! But students are taught to learn and apply here in US. You leave university with a measurable knowledge. You can do!

Many of our Nigerians only get to know subject matter in the industries.

Yes @ OP. The Year you started the business is the "Established Year" while the Year you Registered the business with CAC is the "Incorporated Year".

Anniversaries are usually done with the Year of Establishment which is usually earlier or the same as the year of Incorporation.

in order words.. "You CAN Establish before you incorporate", You CAN "Establish and Incorporate at the same time" but "You CANNOT Incorporate before you Establish"
Why not? U can register your company when you have an idea and start operation in later year

This is a white elephant project destined to fail from the onset.

I believe the aim of the project is just to steal money. Below are my reasons

1. 15 million dollars can not build a 100 megawatt solar power plant. You will need a minimum of 150 million dollars for that at the current power plant benchmark cost.

2. Solar power plant does not generate power 24 hours a day. It stops working at night, saying it will provide 24 hours power is only meant to deceive people.

3. Any government in southern nigeria that wants to build a successful power plant will build a gas powered power plant. It is cheaper to build than solar, the required gas feedstock is abundant in the south and it is a proven technology that can be easily scaled up. Every politician knows this, any one going for solar power plant in the south is simply after the sensational headlines, while looting in the process.

I refuse to be deceived.
Unfortunately, our supposedly abundant gas has been the bane of power generation in this country. As you said, gas turbine is easier and cheaper to start, however, it is not the first choice of power generation for a city.

Steam power and hydro power are! These are used for base load while gas turbine are switched on during peak demand. Do you know why is this?

Gas turbine plant has limit to Megawatt generation while the other two can go into thousands of Megawatts.

Again, you can get 24 hours from solar generator. There are battery storage during reduced light. If oyibo with no sun can power for 24 hours talk less us. This is a good source of energy for the North. Note, I am not referring to those quack solar street projects! Those are rip off.

You teach people how to treat you, and if you are passive about matters of exes and side chicks oh well!
Sadly, your yell can only teach a Nigerian man before marriage. After tasting the pains and expenses and trouble of marriage, the man is not scared of letting go. He also get to lose anything legally on divorce. And there are many willing girls and exes who will fill ur space the next day!

Our women are at receiving end. Laws need to be put in place to protect women and wives

U r wrong...... Sometimes in life you need to monitor the type of people you meet. People are different, everyone can't have similar characters. It will be my decision whether to come back to the house next time or not.

If the OP helps his girlfriend to do the washing, dat will be nice of him.
It will be quite strange for any mother in law to start packing clothes out for her son new girlfriend without the son objecting. This is most probably a test. I support your action to offer to do it if you really love the boy.

Again only a fairy tales mom would put her daughter in law through this can of test just to bless her beyond riches.

If it neither of the two and she still continue to ask for such favour without you insistence, then your MIL is a psyco and need psychiatrist!

Lastly, it is hand washed clothes or with laundry machines. Laundry machines are really cheap. You can even get for 12K. I get angry how people still suffer themselves to wash with hands especially nursing mothers!
