This is disheartening to say the least! |
Confused977:Don't go to the polytechnic again. OND is as good as HND. Companies would even prefer to take OND graduates to HND graduates. If you have to go to school, it really have to be good school like Lagos Business School where you would be assigned internship but I know you can't afford their bachelor program tuition. Nigeria is so difficult, I cannot guarantee you business would keep growing. The economic is bad. But one thing to do is to diversify. Keep saving and keep expanding your business in many directions. You would likely make it if you know how to expand business and turn it to standard brand like House of Tara took her makeup from scratch. That means you need to be present on social media and attending events. Making a special brand name probably from China. That is why school is important if not you would still remain a small fry in your business. 200k per month profit may not even help you as time goes on. Ask family that earn 250k per month. the money don't last till month end! But you seem intelligent enough to know how to build a global brand Lastly, if you must go oversea, make it US or Canada. if you did very well in SAT exam, you can get a scholarship to study in US for free. But you are not a baby, it is hard to find husband abroad. Men here find it hard to marry for reason I can really grapple with. Anyway I know why sha. So these are the issues. If you do marry a green card older in US, u will be free to work. these work are not easy. But the easiest work is braiding hair. You can get up to $250 just to braid anyone's hair. So you may wanna start learning such craft. In Nigeria, you will feel at home plus many uncertainty. If you work hard abroad, you would most likely make it and your Nigeria husband will respect you. But a woman without money suffer so much in the hands of men in Nigeria. Think! |
Very humorous but deep and sorrowful. This is the sad truth of parentage. I have said it, children can never appreciate and tolerate their moms as they did to their children. |
soberdrunk:This is not true. PhD is highly revered everywhere. Very few Americans have PhD degree. In fact, Nigerians has the highest fraction of PhD degrees in America compared to other nationalities ahead of Chinese and Indians. |
Oildichotomy:You can say that again. You even need to pay N5,000 to get recruitment foam. lol |
GloriaNinja:hehehe. Snakes kill tigers and swallow them even let alone small dog. Lol Check anaconda on youtube. |
So this is it! NDDC won't pay PhD scholar tuition. There is now backlog of two-year tuition since Nsima Ekere too charge of NDDC office. |
Nostradamu:You can form a partnership with a Niger deltans or add him to be one of the directors in your company |
Shebi una wan kill this guy with una mouth. my hand nor dey o |
rentAcock:But at least you now know oak pension exist. Do you know anything about Fug Pension? Fug pension is in Nigeria too. lol. Sometimes these companies do not have choice than to pay celebrities to build awareness and brand for themselves. So don't consider it as stupid strategy bro |
rossyc:So how are they celebrities if they keep everything privateh? lol. Sometimes, people just photograph you and everything is out. Can anyone hide pregnancy? |
McQueen95:Yes o. Dangote now has a construction firm called AG-DANGOTE Construction Company Limited. He uses concrete cement to make road. Haven't read about it? |
mrvitalis:Dangote is interested in the road because his numerous trucks take the road. The Bonny bridge would aid accessibility to NLNG. The companies you listed must have a personal reason to invest in project in order to get a tax break |
Why then did she tone her skin with camera filter. She is clearly looking fair |
LagosismyHome:LOL |
agongajoseph:I am in US. Like you, nddc now owes 2nd and 3rd tuition. I do not wanna talk about the sufferings and humiliations. How nddc expect anyone to live outside Nigeria without finance, I don't know. |
adakoleagbenu:Yes. Someone mentioned that earlier in the thread |
Amajerry83:You are not different from a rascist! |
McSterling:Geosciences has better chance to secure multinational work than petroleum engineering discipline right now |
INTERMAN:Electric cars can now be charged at home |
AuroraB:They only blocked where they work which is fair enough! lol. but what is there to like in a job where you haven't be paid for 11 months |
This is really frustrating. What kind of wickedness do the management in nddc buried their heart into. Tuition for 2015 PhD has not been paid. This is one year gone. How on earth do they think services are rendered oversea? Or do they think tuition is paid just once for PhD. One has to think of a way to get this money out of them. They CEO doesn't even know we exist |
oviejnr:Lol. Crescent University is a Nigerian University bro. |
philips1:That means you have won the scholarship. Congratulations. Or you don't have IELTS? |
Evaberry:That gal has no single ugliness in her! |
KunkAcid:She isn't ugly. She can actually be transformed into a model. U need to take a second look at her carved face and physique. That is what modelling is about |
agongajoseph:This is very true. Some of us had made several contacts including travelling to Nigeria to meet nddc official. Till now, nothing have been done on tuitions and upkeep. No one should be left to suffer like this |
jsleekysleeky:You seem to misquote Dmainman out of order. I am the last person to be bigoted. I acknowledge all tribes got intelligence. I have been classmate with genius northerners. He was a crazy mathematician. But as regards PRESSID scholarship, the examination was only written by first class students in all universities in Nigeria. The exam was conducted by National University Commission (NUC) and candidates selected by NUC to produce the next generation scientific genius who can only attend the first 20 global universities in the world. Now, this is the only examination that has nothing to do with Federal Character Commission. The Jonathan Government only wanted the most qualified candidates by way of exam regardless of wherever state of federation they were coming from. I think for 3 years in the conduct of the examination, less than 5 percent where coming out from the Northern extraction and that angered many northern leaders and group including northern law makers who pushed for the cancellation of PRESSID when Buhari got in so much so that the last winners were never sponsored. Now there is an explanation to the few number of Northerners in the list: I noticed in there are relatively fewer applications from the north in this type of scholarship examinations. If there are 2000 applications from the south for instant, there would be 200 applications from the north. Maybe because northern like to stay and work in Nigeria or general lack of awareness. So it shouldn't be any surprise if 200 people are eventually selected, only 10 comes from north. They aren't dull but the probability is low because of the number of applicants in the North. But Federal Character seeks to equalise this. They make it compulsory that equal number must come from each state or region. Such that if 100 is selected from the South with 2000 applications, 100 must be selected from the north with 200 applications! However there are merits and demerits in this thinking. Though it may limits merit, but there is happiness all over and spread of wealth amongst states forming a whole. iN FACT, a PhD thesis can be written on this rationality and philosophical thoughts behind the approach. I noticed when I was shortlisted for PTDF MSc scholarship some 8-9 years ago, while there were many of us from the southern state like 300 names per state, states like Zamfara had only 5 names! and PTDF was to select 9 scholars from Zamfara. They eventually have to source for other four interested students to accept the scholarship. Lastly, we know we are all intelligent but don't also forget Nigerians states have been classed into education and education less developed states. While Bayelsa, Cross rivers, Rivers and Akwa Ibom have been classed as educationally-less developed states in the South, almost all of the states in the North are classed as educationally less developed state by Nigeria education committee and up till now no northern group has disputed it because it creates some kind of favourable consideration in gaining admission through JAMB. |
I am surprised no one here mentioned the most important news from the article, that is, the lifting of ban on post UME which will now make Universities conduct additional entrance examination. The last two years method of admission was really subjective and marked with fraud. It looks like many nairalanders don't complete reading article before commenting ![]() |
orjikuramo:I tire Na. I thought he would mention a couple of lad from James Hardley Chase book especially Garland. |
DrFreedom:DrFreedom, how's your end. Have you heard anything from nddc? This is so frustrating |
