Sincere apologies but the car is already giving out white smoke. What is he to test again? Engine rebuild is not a forte of kazeems so next bet is a swap.

It sounds similar to an accident victim with a chopped off leg being rushed to the hospital and the doctor is recommending an x ray to determine if the leg is still there.

I will advice you to run for your dear life from that kazeem before he inflict your car with more issue as what he is interested is to dig more holes in your pocket ,though i no blame kazeem sha , e self go do xmas too o

yes the car is starting with this key n d key open the door n boot of d car but manually without d remote. That security light always flashes wen I lock d door manually too

If the light on the remote still flashes when you press any of the buttons. Then its either the remote fob is bad or it needs to be realinged with the immobiliser unit. A scan tool is used to do this. But run a scan first on the immobiliser control unit and see if you get a fault error. If you need solution and you are in lagos. Call 08156087872 or 08165520837.

Yes went to the mainland to greet my parents when it happened. The fan was connected directly so I can use it cos it was getting late. Theyt said the fan relay has spoilt ,but I noticed that the fan just keeps blowing once you on the ignition even if you didn't start the car

Finding it difficult to locate your servo. Perhaps the way you snapped the pix. Definitely you should have your Abs light on. Run a scan first

the failed one in the car has made it impossible to fill the tank (can only put in 20 liters max.)

Its just spread across the windscreen to protect heavy sunlight ray. Can't be used while driving so as not to block your vision

Redressing that dash board is the only way out. There might be other opinions which I maybe farfetched from. A very skilled pperson who is competent knows how best to go about it. Same thing I experience on RX330. Just bought a sunlight protector for now. A client of might recently fixed his same Rx330 and the job was beautifully done.

I bought it as Nigerian used, but I have all the custom papers and the car was shipped in from belgium I guess that's the reason for the VIN check error. Also I doubt if it was converted, the driver side wiper is bigger, the gear is in normal position as 1 and 2 are on the driver side, also the key hole is on the driver side and the NATS (security) indicator light is on the drivers side and blinking, also the fuel cover release.

I have a feeling the service engine soon light as been blinded from displaying by our so-called terrible dealers,. The only way to confirm this is to get out that instrument cluster and check was is going down there. Is there any time you see your cluster act funny

That's what am telling you mayor, this car is different from the sienna, it only shows 4 error lights handbrake, airbag, oil and battery and they switch off in 3secs as soon as the car starts. I have not seen any other light than this 4 and no funny spanner, MIL or check engine light since I have been using it.

I also see the Full light indicator when they are on and the traffic indicator lights/hazard. Also all this lights are scattered in different parts of the dash board so I doubt if it's an issue of dead led

Where and how did you buy this car. Did you import it yourself or you bought it from a car dealer here in Nigeria or you bought it as a Nigerian used car

No sir, the alternator charge the battery very well, those rewire checked it yesterday. I thing it has to do with the inbuilt security or code, I don't even know what to do.

Run a scan then. I hope they don't mess things up with the car

Pls I need the service of an engineer. My car security system shut down the car engine yesterday at our village. Local engineers and rewire said that there's nothing is wrong with the car after several brain works. What really happened was that the alarm system ran the battery down 2days ago. I called my neighbor who is a battery charger to help me get one battery to start the car. The man came with a battery and 2 wires and he just did the connection without disconnecting the one there, I on the ignition and the car started, I traveled with it for about 3hrs to our village. I noticed that the car system isn't in order as the horn, and glass wining were not working properly but they started working again. I later started hearing some sounds in front. All of the sudden, the car just stop on its own. 2003 mitsubishi outlander.

This sounds like a charging system problem.
Is your alternator charging your battery well?
Is your power source good (battery)? 12.6v
Does your battery goes low on voltage when the car is parked overnight. If yes then this is a parasitic drain. Meaning there is a device draining the battery's voltage. A parasitic drian test can he used to determine this

The obd connects but doesn't connect to ECU, as that was the error it was giving by torque pro. I still used the scanner on toyota sienna it scanned but it refused to connect to the nissan engine ECU. But I don't have check engine light on infact I have not seen the check engine or what ever engine light problem it uses, whether the ignition is left at start, ON or whatever.

I have used fuel economy to guage whether the engine has problem but I couldn't deduce it because I was getting the calculated mpg by the manufacturer.

The only lights on the dash that load and switch off are Airbags, handbrake, battery and engine oil.

Does the service engine soon light comes up on when you turn the key to first ignition

Good day, all, please as much as you would like to crucify me for my negligence, also remember that if we correct a child with the left hand we should also use the right hand to draw him/her close.

I was able to move the car away from zaria, the mechanic fixed the bad piston and ringed the engine, it wasn't smoking but this are the symptoms I noticed
1. At high speed in gear 5, if I disengage the gear with the clutch depressed, the engine switches off but it never happens in gear 3 downwards, am not sure of 4 since I seldom stay long there.

2. After buying fuel I encountered some issues, though the reserve light was on but fuel never finished the issue is erratic RPM like the car wanna die and then the fuel gauge started misbehaving like I never bought fuel then it will increase again, if I switch off and start, it will go to reserve again.

3. The car will refuse to start unless it was pushed to start

4. Then the car started over heating (note the mechanic that worked the engine said he would need to change the gasket) I had to just manage it to kano after parking and refilling the radiator with water the car lights come on but it never for once cranked, lights just show on the dash board. One kazeem said it's the kick starter.
We pushed it to start but the car only sputters, it never came alive

Please well meaning gurus, what I need now is Advice from you on what to do two heads are better than one please I need help on how to fix the car before I make an un redeemable mistake.

Why are scanners not connecting to your car. Go to your ipdm (intelligence power distribution module) aka fuse box and check the fuse diagrams for obd2 to check if the fuse is cut. Check other fuse as well

Hmmm. Your Ecu was made with a voltage protection device reason why it didn't affect the ecu. You wouldn't wana try it with a Siemens ecu.

I was in a serious fix this evening... rushing to get back home, thinking about pending deals I thought will close tz wk.end, in the middle of this, I gave out my battery so someone can start his car on placing it back, I interchanged d terminals all I heard was a spark( dts when my sense was restored to factory settings), I corrected my self bt twas too late.... nothing would lit even ignition. Immediately I thought about 'Brain Box'. Nd trust me u don't want any Abj electrician tellin u any price about dt Brain box. I called GAZZUZZ... Immediately, he directed me what to check nd fix, I did it... nd Zooom Zoooom my BABY drove me home.. washed it now and am ready for Church!! ALL Hail GAZZUZZ!!!! Thanks Man!!

older models use servo and the weight difference is not much. i really want a permanent solution to this headache.
actually the difference is that the abs uses a pump to distribute the brake oil and this pump works once u step on the brakes until there is full pressure while the servo uses pressure applied on the pedals with a booster (servo) to distribute the oil.
the abs system of my model is complicated that mere corrosion of the abs terminals can cause complications which might make one change the whole abs.
also i strongly suspect that the master cylinder of my abs has a faulty seal (considering what i read on forms like ih8mud.com and also the hissing sound when i step on the brake pedal).
hence i will love to have a brake expert examine my master cylinder very well and see if there is a bad seal which can be replaced instead of changing the whole unit.
a member of ih8mud .com changed his whole abs unit before he discovered that his terminals were corroded and when he cleaned them the unit worked fine.
anothe user also wrote that stiff and unresponsive brake pedal is a result of a faulty master cylinder while a collapsed brake pedal is due to a failed brake pump.

Pls I need help urgently from a professional.
I am experiencing frequent engine oil shortage and my radiator coolant goes down every day, in fact I have top it up daily before driving while I top the oil twice weekly.
The engine doesn't smoke while driving but I recently noticed it smoking (dark smoke) when I Rev it and it try to Jerk and stutter when I am on speed or idle run.
When I took it to the mechanic we discovered one of the injector nozzle wasn't working he tried to swab it and found out that the nozzle that wasn't working worked in another position so he checked the plug and discovered that the plugs were soaked with carbon we changed the 4 plugs and the engine ran normal but one week later the new plugs were completely covered with carbon again thus causing the same problem of engine Jerking and misfiring.
The mechanic told me that the Rings are gone and I need to re-ring the engine but I am skeptical about ringing it as I am not sure how long it will last me before smoking again.
I am considering buying a tokumbo/belgium engine but the fund is not readily available.
Please advice me on the best option to go.

dear friends,
i recently purchased a 2000 landcruiser from a friend and soon after i noticed that when im in traffic for about 10 minutes the abs and vsc and traction control lights come on with an alarm. this lasts for about 20 seconds and stop when the traffic moves.
if the traffic is really bad then the alarm and light become permanent and the brake pedal becomes stiff and the brakes dont respond again. until i get a mechanic to bleed the brakes or disconnect and reconnect the abs from the battery.
i also noticed that when driving normaly there is a hiss like air escaping when i step on the brakes.
i have done some research on the net and i discovered that it is a common problem with the 00-04 landcruiser, 03/04 4runner limited, tundra,sequoia and some lexus lx470 and gx470 as they share the same brake system.
i have consulted some good mechanics who have concluded that the abs is bad and some advised me to change it to the older and simpler landcruiser brake system which uses a salvo instead of the abs brake pump.
changing the abs is very expensive (abt 350k) and will not guarantee a permanent solution.
please has anyone experienced this and if so how did you sort it out.
i want to change the brake system only as a last resort.

From your story your mechanics could be very correct. But run a scan on your Abs system. Conversion from ABS to servo. kazeems don come again. If you check your ride well. Only the Abs system was built in there. A servo alone would not work perfectly well with that ride considering the body weight of the car. Any one who advises you to convert to servo is an enemy.
