Someone pls help! The dashboard of my Opel Vectra suddenly started displaying vitesse 22km/hr. Vitesse is actually a french word meaning speed.what I don't understand is why it is displaying it.

the best advice to you is to go for proper diagnostic analysis using advanced scanners. you yourself will have to go to lab to determine what really is the problem. mechanics they themselves are not gods to know what the problem might be. they can only work properly when the diagnostic result is out. you will end up damaging your car and spending so much money yet not solving it. even the automaker cant certainly tell you the problem without first scanning to pull the error codes. just do it man and be free.

my Honda baby boy 2002 model vibrates/ shakes heavily, at times, in the morning while starting it and stabilizes after few seconds. It also happens if the car has not been driven for some hrs and while vibrating/shaking, RPM stays down. pls, help

I'm already vexed with today's Automobiles, automatic transmission everywhere, u can't see full option with manual transmission.

Guys pls I need a help. My camry 1999 steering remain hard to turn despite changing the steering rack and changing the steering pump twice. The last mechanic I went to said nothing was wrong with the steering, I angrily left because I drive the car when the steering was soft and he is telling me The steering is normal. My atf is not leaking anywhere. What do I do guys?

My golf 3 auto started having a gear issue after draining the water in the gearbox that entered thru the coolant.It was moving and selecting well when d water was still inside d gear box.
The drive couldn't engage neither d reverse after flushing it wt fresh ATF. The mechanic discovered that one of the IC in the ECU has burnt,I bought another ECU and it started engaging bt hard select from first to second and stalls from second to third bt move smoothly to other gears.
I scan it and it show these fault codes.

00518(throttle position sensor-sporadic signal outside tolerance.)
00638(engine/transmission electrical connection 2-sporadic - no signal)

Following the emergence of self driving cars, I am foreseeing a disturbing future (for me at least). Owing to the fact that I love driving not just as a necessity, but as a hobby. Fast forward 20 to 30 years from now, automobiles would have been totally automated taking away the driving from driver, I know it has its advantages... Ranging from reduced road accidents, to easy vehicle tracking etc... But then for peeps like me who just love driving, I really don't want to live in such a society... What do you think?

It is a 2001 v6 30valves engine model and consumes 10 litres for every 50 kilometres. Wasn't so before. What is responsible for this and can anyone proffer solutions? Pls help!

pls I ll like to know what can cause my honda baby boy not to start, d battery is ok, and when u turn on d ignition d fan belt roll very well but d engine is not starting. I notice dat yestaday wen returning from work it off by itself but start again wen I start it, only for not to start dis morning wen I start it

Benz experts Please advice me. I bought a 2003 clk 2 door Benz from a friend. He wanted to upgrade so I seized the opportunity. We worked in the same office so I knew that the car was okay cos he was always driving it to work. At the beginning the car was fine but after parking it for like 3 months ( although I warm the engine daily and drive it within the area) the car developed issues. When I try accelerating whether am in motion or at a spot the car sounds like it's struggling then the engine cuts off or it becomes so slow no matter how much the press down. Sometimes when I restart the car it acts fine for another 30 minutes then starts acting up again. To cut the long story short after 3 mechanics one of which was the mechanic working with the car from day one, three filter and pump changes, change of plugs (4 plug engine), ejector cleaning etc the problem persists. The annoying thing is the car will perform okay for about 2 weeks then the problem starts again. The fuel Gauge has issues as it does not give a correct reading but I don't think this is the cause. Anyone with experience please help. Am already thinking of selling it again less than 6 months after purchase.

I had the catalyst checked and was told it has blocked. I was adviced to remove it and be using the vehicle that way pending when I have the money to replace it. are there any negetive effects of usinh the vehicle without the catalyst?

Evenin...A friend of mine bought a used Volvo car and we got it scanned..we got the codes...
P0733-gear 3 incorrect ratio
P0734-gear 4 incorrect ratio
P0735-gear 5 incorect ratio
P1618-wiring fault between AW-TCM and ECM...

What do they mean please...Learnt the 5th gear and reverse were nt selecting before so he had a mechanic work on it...Posible solutions pleas..

I hv a golf3 that rises in voice or accerating sound without me pressing d acceration pedal and when it does so the accerating meter on d speedomer don't return to normal until after some time. the last time a mechanic touched the caburator it got worsen-it was consuming fuel nd d smoke wz black.I waz forced to buy anoda caburator and same thing is happeng again. pls advice my auto experts
