Engine and gear is loading. Cause of white smoke could be the following

1) blown head gasket
2) cracked cylinder head
3) cracked cylinder wall

Carry out a visual inspection. Start the car in the morning open the radiator filler cap and inspect water or coolant. Are there bubbles forming right inside?

Also carry out a cylinder compression test

As for your gear run a scan on it. Am afraid you might need to change your gear box although depending on scan result

Good day all. My Toyota Camry 2003 2AZ FE automatic transmission is kinda having issues. Very early in the morning if I start d car and put it on reverse it goes in smoothly but when I put it on drive it does not engage quickly. From my little observation it happens when car is cold or left for some time. Check transmission fluid and its up to required mark. Transmission is still bright red to pink in colour and no traves of dirt or metal on clean white surface. . It normally happens when th car is cool. Happened again this afternoon. Had to put it on drive and rev the car before it picked but reverse is excellent. I scanned car and got no DTC at all. Wanna do a transmission flush with Atf type T IV and see if they will be an improvement. Also will see if I can replace the filter. Guys pls I need suggestions . thanks all. God bless

Does the car shift through all gears (1-5)?
What type of scan tool was used?
Was a actual values used to monitor transmission performance?
When last did you do your transmission service?

Using type IV transmission fluid at this junction might make no difference.

My car has been performing well since morning but just as I tried cranking it up this evening on my way home, it refused to crank up. After some minutes of unsuccessful attempts I jump started the car and it started. But as I was approaching home suddenly it started misbehaving again;

1. The headlamp light was getting dim.
2. The horn stopped working.
3. The power windows stopped working.
4. The ABS light (which has never been up) came up.

From my personal experience on the engineering field, no doubt the ford escape 2005 and 2006, 6 cylinder 3.0L engine is a ride worth dying for. But I can confirm with you that there would be issue(s) when this sweet ford of yours begins to set in with a mileage of 80000miles upward. From all write ups there seem to be no recall made by ford concerning these issues. Below are the problems encountered with these ride. So if you are a car owner and your ford escape 2005 or 2006 begins to clock a mileage of 80000 miles and above, haveall these stated below at the back of your mind

1) car suddenly stalls while in motion (igntion failure)
2) car starts to idle rough
3) your air conditioning system stops working
4) a misfire sets in

As for number 1 its actually dangerous and can cause a serious accident when on a high way. But not to panic there is a solution to all problems mentioned above.

Solution:

When all these sets in, first thing is to run a diagnosis on the car using a diagnostic tester. Did you see the dreaded "p0351( ignition coil A circuit malfunction )- p0356 (ignition coil F circuit malfunction) not to worry this is the problem I have been discussing all long.

The ford escape igntion system which is a coil on plug was designed such that its earth signal is recieved directly from the Power control module. Once this ground fails all four probelms set in. This same ground signal is responsible for operation of the compressor so if ground is bad your air conditioning system stops operation. Its very important to tackle this problem professionally unless many more complications sets in and I wouldn't blame a kazeem for this

my Toyota 1998 is giving headache. it all started last week, I tried starting the car but no way so I guess it was security until a rewire came to check it alas the car started working after just checking the plug. I asked the guy but he told me that the car is perfect same that I should not worry. but the same thing happened four days after and I did what he did and the car worked but the second day the same thing happened again but this time no way. after two days of not touching the car went to do the same thing and the car start working again....plz what is happening to my ride? for some time now I have been observing that the way the car starts is not good enough because it slows but I don't care about it until now that it became issue

By the time that rewire of yours rewire the head of that car you would know that your car is 0bd2 complaint and can be scanned to safe all this hassles of coming to play with your spark plugs every day. By the way what toyota are we talking about here?
