My bad, apologies. Perhaps they have adjusted it now, I remember when I wrote the cambridge tutor said there is penalty for using lower case all through for nouns e.g Albert not albert, Manchester not manchester, Lion not lion Thanks for sharing the adjusted understanding. Cheers henrinco: One is not marked wrong for not using capital letters in IELTS (listening). I attended several IDP organized master class this koro period. |

Yes it is, especially for nouns(name, animal, place etc). One way to negate being penalised for case sensitive error is to use upper case(Capital Letters) all through from 1 to 40 Or try & be cautious/attention to the grammatical details Teemez: Thanks so much, please what do you mean by as it should be, I am talking about Listening, not reading. Are you saying listening is case sentisive? |

You normally should wait to see dir response as they will direct u appropriately. No, u dont need to send a new transcript, they can move the digital file from US to Canada easily. U will have to pay some money though for a new evaluation to Canadian equivalency. Someone that experienced same answered this question with more details recently, so u can search "converting/transferring WES USA to WES Canada" in the nairaland search box to see his/her response. Cheers OliveWalls: Hello,
Do you know if one can get WES Canada and WES US to exchange transcripts and certificates for evaluation purpose?
An older friend got her credentials evaluated by WES US for academic purpose in 2017. She has initiated her request through WES Canada's contact us form, quoting her WES US reference number.
Should we be doing anything else to further this?
Is it best to just apply for transcripts from UNILAG jeje?
Thank you. |

Nothing concern IRCC with nigerian banks rates....try what ednut said or alternatively use international approved conversation conversion rates on oanda or xe converter. Both still btw 280 and 285 ShowYoung: For me, I'll rather add more fund if I see that market rate would make my POF incomplete. I'll add, print new statement and submit. |

Find IRCC requirements attached. If u can get a letter stating all details required then u sudnt lose any sleep over it. MamaHeaven: Lol. Please I have just a few more questions: 1. Is it necessary to attach the statement of account for the mutual funds or will just the mutual fund reference letter suffice? 2. Does the time the mutual fund was opened matter?

Hi, If the spouse is not the PA, you don't need to declare his/her financial obligation I think. As clearly stated on their website only the principal applicant need to supply proof of funds. You dont plan to use his business account for the PoF I imagine. If the PoF was a gift, then get the requisite gift deed as credence. Only PA need to go to bank and get a reference letter in IRCC format. Don't complicate ur application, if a spouse(Not PA) has a loan to settle, he should settle it before u get PR visa with non-PoF money as u may be asked to show the said PoF at the port of entry. Cheers MamaHeaven: Hello Guys, please I have a question. For Couples in this process, is it a problem if your spouse has a financial obligation(loan) he's settling while running his business? Will this in anyway affect chances of getting PR? Is there anywhere during the application that you'll be asked to declare any financial obligation of your spouse? Thanks |

Nacho4: Tipping and bribing are two different things. Call a spade a spade. The waiter at the restaurant or the delivery guy will do their duties regardless, so long as they are being paid by their employers. Tipping is some form of show of gratitude after service is rendered.
If the pizza store doesnt work on saturdays and you pay the delivery guy to find a way of getting into the store and getting pizza delivered to you, it's bribery.
I don bribe tire for this country, no be say i be saint. but make we call wetin something be as e be. |

I agree with your clear explanation of the difference Josh. Thanks sir But ur optimism bothers on fantasy and ignorance Josh as the evidences suggests otherwise. EnglishWithJosh: Gain accrued to bypass a protocol is bribe, while a monetary value awarded after a service has been rendered is tip.
On the contrary, we give more tip in Nigeria than "the western world," and most of us won't call it a bribe while we present it.
Therefore, this has nothing to do with Nigerians' ignoramus nature, illiteracy or mindset.
We share nothing but one view; we are definitely not the most corrupt nationals, and one day, our dearest country will be void of cloud. |

Hi, I know for a certainty that UI PG school still processes transcript during this pandemic, but partime/underground. If them no tell u...u no go know. I wont be surprised the UG work underground too perhaps 2 times a week. If u can u sud go to the school urself, or ask more carefully around. As much as we dont want to encourage bribery, you'd be surprised how more helpful University staffs are with some incentive/tips in this pandemic. Cheers sinorte: Thank you for your detailed response.
I would be evaluating my B.Sc. I am actually running an MBA programme at the moment. It would have been my last semester now, but Covid-19 pandemic has stalled the progress. I'm not even sure yet when the programme would now be completed.
My wife would be evaluating her credentials too. But that one has also been stalled by NASU/ASUU strike and the pandemic. She has two degrees, though. However, her IELTS score was not as good as mine. So I'm not sure if she'd still be good as the PA.
You mentioned that we should "get other aspects ready" while we wait for UI to resume. Please what are these other aspects? I'm a near-novice in this journey. The insights and enlightenment you provide will come handy.
Thank you for your time again, and God bless! |

Which one is myEquals pls? 4k is sweet ooo. Faithyyyyy: Dear,
I think the general idea is to encourage everyone to follow through the process as best as they humanly can. Be it adding another language, rewriting IELTS exams, or an additional certification.
The lady said they were still working on applications submitted in March. This was mid june oooh.thankfully she advised me to use myEquals to share my transcript which i did and got my eca. Basically i wasted 12k on Courier from my school to wes which is still lying in a pile somewhere. online cost me like 4k only. So imagine the thousands of people waiting for ECA from wes that wes cannot attend to yet.
If anyone had told CEC candidates that scores will drop to 431 they would never have believed. CEC started at 467 oooh then plummeted down to 431. Imagine a 36 point drop. So why won't you believe same can happen for FSW? Last year's draw had 438 and there was no COVID-19 then.
I definitely see the scores dropping to 450 and slightly below sef. 6 draws of 3900 each will clear out the pool of stagnant fsw candidates that have been there since 4 months ago before more candidates come in at the end of the year |

I'm sure the next invite in the next fortnight will be lower than 478 considering the way the pool is populated. And you will get then, u can start gathering your documents. Cheers mate Diavolo: I'm. 1. Anytime you decide to do the gift deed before you accept ITA is fine, it can predate ITA if you like. 2. Again, this is absolutely ur choice. If you decide to fix it you should have a fixed deposit/Treasury Bill's certificate. 3& 4. U r on point I think 5. It is not a requirement, a carefully prepared gift deed negates a need for an affidavit. To help some peeps sleep well at night though, they add an affidavit or notarize the gift deed. Cheers OliveWalls: Hello gurus in the house,
First post alert
1. Kindly share your thought on getting a gift deed done for POF pre-ITA. I have a portion of my POF as gift from my mum and the rest from my savings (in a separate USD account). She will be collating savings from her different accounts into her main account, from where she would then transfer to me. What do you think about about getting this done ASAP? I have will be taking the IELTS this month and ECA is already in the works.
2. Will it be best to fix the money after it has been sent to me (PRE/POST ITA) or should I just leave it my account.
3. For my POF, I intend to present the gift deed, bank statement highlighting when she transferred the POF, six months bank statement for both banks (USD and NGR) and the required letter from my banks.
4. Am I missing anything?
5. Does my mum need to swear an affidavit alongside the gift deed?
Thank you so much for you help. I promise to pay it forward. |
