shadama:

A parent of a citizen/PR doesn't need an authorisation letter, just has to travel with proof of the relationship amongst other required docs.
I think if a student then the letter is required.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/immediate-family.html

Thank you.

One less burden to worry about.

Hi folks,

For those whose parents recently got their visas, did you apply for letter of authorization?

Update:

We sent mumsy PP last week Friday to Lagos VFS.

It got there 2 days ago.

Today we got an email that it arrived at VFS Abuja and another email that it was being sent to IRCC. 1 hour later we got an email that the passport is with IRCC and under processing.

I guess, Lagos is backed up, hence the need for Abuja.

UpDate: I just checked gckey now, there is a document number and expiry date. I guess passport is stamped.

Regards

To quickly add here.

We sent my Mum’s passport to Lagos VFS. However, Lagos VFS sent it to Abuja. (She is a Visitor visa applicant, just giving you folks how it works sometimes).

Also congratulations to everyone that has received their PPRs; may this land favour you.

When you eventually get here, stay safe, stay focused and keep your eyes on the big picture ( una sabi the picture lol).

Know your professors before you take their classes (some of them head no Dey house), ask around about your courses and how grades are apportioned for each course ( Assignments, tests and exams or projects); this would help you plan.

It ain’t about studying hard alone, it is about studying smart.

Also, attend career fairs when they start again and network, network, network.

Finally, peace!

Maziude.

PS: If you are coming to ottawa, send a message when you land and need some advice on how things are done here. Na only talk I fit talk.

Hi folks,
We already applied for my mum’s TRV since March last year. They started reviewing her eligibility November last year, we will appreciate if someone can share that email address to contact IRCC for expedition.

Thank you.

Hello good morning everyone,

Please I was told US and Canada share same
Data base. Is that true ?

A friend of mine want to apply for Canadian visa and he has been refused visa at the US embassy before is it compulsory he talk about it in the Canadian visa application or no need.

All contributions are welcome.

Five year ban if he fails to disclose it in his application.

NB:

If you have ever been refused any visa of any kind from any country, please disclose it in your application. Visa officers cross check databases and they will see the denials.

Hey fam.

Looking for ideas or suggestions on couriers for shipping an item like a phone from Canada to Nigeria.

Thanks in advance.

The best bet you have is if someone is going to Nigeria, they might help you with such items like phones.

Using Couriers to send such items like phone is not economical. You would be better off buying said phone or item in Nigeria.

However if you are in the buying and selling business (bulk items), then you might want to consider exportation using exportation services.

Is she is a Nigerian?

If Yes, then she must come down to Nigeria (MoE and MoFA) for Authentication & Legalization.

If she is a Beninese, then she would have to do it at MoE and MoFA in Benin Republic.

Yep, she is Nigerian.

And she is home now though.

Thank you so much for your response.

So final landing...

Download all possible movies before you land... after u land, register for Netflix, go to the Cinema or collect movies with hard disk (with caution ooo)

The download option before landing sef bad.

I remember downloading a movie before landing.

One day, I received a warning notice about illegal acquisition of that same movie from bell.

The basic thing is as far as your pc is connected to the internet, and you downloaded via torrent before landing, somehow tracking has started.

How this works/happens is a long story...

Bottom line, avoid downloading.... Rather stream or subscribe to save yourself the hassles....

Hello People, I'm interested in migrating to Canada with my family.

I have a concern though: I don't have a degree, but I have 10+ years of experience in Web Development.

I need someone to guide me.

Boss, your request is too general to begin with. 'someone' does not exist without a specific line of question.

Which genre of web development do you belong to? Did you study to become one? Do you have any proof to support this, like a certificate or some diploma from some institution that can be verified? Information like this should be supplied for any reasonable input to be given.

What 'info' have you gathered so far?

Have you gone to cic.gc.ca? If not that should be your first stop.

They have every 'info' that partains to every situation. After reading (carefully) and you don't understand, then people here will be able to help you understand the confusing part.

Peace.

the reason i am asking is that the agent who my dad contact told my dad that it was a working permit visa but after i went for biometric i saw thst it was TRV that was on my receipt, so that is why i am asking if i can fine a way to get a work permit

Man,
you are confusing everyone here with your random statements.

I would suggest you lay it out as it is, so whoever will help you can give you suggestions.

But note, getting a job here on visitor visa is next to impossible. Please forget the issue of sponsorship with a visitor visa. Many companies here are not sponsoring even those that are here easily.

But if you have a tangible skill or talent the company needs then you might get lucky, but for now focus on other options- school or express entry.

Please, to avoid being banned from entering Canada, ensure all you are doing is legal.

Peace
