Please help clarify. CRA refunded all your daycare fees? And for how long?
They don’t refund; you only claim up to a certain amount towards your refund. That was granted by Ontario government.

So, check to see if Alberta has the same thing.

Make she sha hold money… daycare no cheap.

Hi.
Probably not an active thread but thought to ask my questions here to help someone I know who's in a fix.

My question is for a mum who has received study permit, coming With 2 kids of daycare age. Anyone on here with similar situation? How are you doing for childcare and how much is it, etc?

Asking because daycare is expensive and we are yet to figure out what this mum would qualify for in terms of aby deductions. We would like to know if there are any deductions possible (Alberta), or the existence of other childcare options when a mum is here alone with 2kids. Any ideas would help. Thanks

You should asking the agency in charge of daycare in Alberta as they would be the best to give you answers.

In Ontario, only PR and citizens qualify for day care subsidies (we were told that when we tried to apply) and the subsidy amount is income based.

So your friend should factor in daycare cost to her cost of living as they can get expensive. She could be able to claim it under childcare expenses credit (we did that for Ontario) while filing her taxes.

In summary, your friend should have money ready for daycare expenses or look for someone to watch the kids when she goes to school.

My wife put to bed 2 weeks ago.

My mother usually takes care of her but her aunty decided to come this time.

I usually have sex with my wife 2 weeks after she puts to bed. It pains her a little but I am very gentle with her. She knows I am not a cheating husband that is why.

Last night as I tried to make love to her, she was crying as usual. Before you know it, her aunty started banging the door and was shouting that I want to kill my wife.

I felt so embarrassed and went tried to explain to her that it’s not so. She said if I try it again she will carry my wife and children back to the village and will return her bride price.

She asked me to wait for at least 4 months before I touch my wife again which I promised her I will as I did not want her to report to my wife’s family.

What can I do? I don’t want to cheat on my wife and I don’t want to disrespect my Inlaw by sending her away. She is a nice woman but she is making me uncomfortable in my own home.

Family / Re: How Do I Tell My Unmarried Elder Sister That She Is Getting Too Old? by maziude: 1:32pm On Oct 16, 2022
IntelChief:
My elder sister is around 32 years and still not serious with marriage. Her only focus is on making money and she had been very successful in that aspect. She has a well paying job and is not only comfortable but also supports me financially sometimes.

But I just can't imagine why she is not disturbed about the fact that she is still single at her age. A lot of guys I know had been approaching her but she never accepts even a relationship offer from them, talk more of marriage. (And am very sure that she is not a lesbian or any of that).

As a church guy, I have seen a lot of women stock in this not being married thing and jumping from one church to the other seeking for husbands. Some of them, out of desperation, fall victims in the hands of fake pastors and sharp guys. I really don't want my sister to go through such.

Initially, I wasn't disturbed, but right now, this issue is burning not only me but also my aging mother. My mother had even stylishly urged my sister to go get married on several occasions. But she won't.

What really got me mad was when I was discussing with my sister some days back about her future plans. She told me stuffs like planning on travelling abroad for greener pastures, bla bla bla, but made no mention of marriage.

Honestly guys, I am tired. And as a man in the family, I am thinking of changing it for my sister. Am planning on threatening her that if she doesn't take the issue of marriage serious, I will go physical with her and teach her some lessons. But the issue is that she is my elder sister and I have some respect for her. And my action might end up affecting the bond in the family.

That’s how you folks push people to their early deaths all in the name of ‘they must marry’.

This myopic and archaic behaviour needs to stop and change.

Leave people and let them live their life as they deem fit.

Hi everyone, please I need an answer concerning this issue. My friend was given admission into the University Entrance Option that’s a one year program if been passed she can enter into her major program. The visa took time to come out, she had to defer her admission and she’s to resume by September 2023. Her visa have been approved now and it’s a one year visa which is suppose to expire by November 2023. I want to know if it’s not going to affect her when she’s to go in by August next year at the port of entry to get her study permit base on her visa is suppose to expire 2 months after her resumption. Below is a screenshot of what I mean. Thank you.

The Visa is only for travel.
She will be issued her study permit when she gets to Canada.

As long she comes in before the expiration date of the visa, she is good.

Note that, if she has plans to travel outside Canada during her studies, she would need to renew her visa.

Romance / Re: Should I Forget About My Standard And Take The Risk? by maziude: 9:34pm On Oct 08, 2022
Ebenman:
I meant a lady 3 months ago. After we talked, she began to show interest in me, but she wasn't my standard, so I wasn't feeling the same way.

My standards are:
1. At least she must be a graduate
2. She should be self-sufficient (earning something reasonable)
3. At most 5-6 age difference between us
4. Looking calm and understandable
5. She must be an average-height lady

This lady, in particular, is an NCE holder, working as a teacher, earning little because of her level of education. She is just in her early 20s, and I am almost 8 yrs older than her. She is from a poor background and has 2 other younger siblings. She is also not tall and looks like an average girl.

She is very decent (a virgin) and loyal to me. I have told her severally that she is not my standard and I wasn't interested in her, but she refused to listen and began to feel very insecure. Maybe because I earn well and she knows I will soon get married.

She now comes to my house almost every weekend because I am very accommodating. Recently she has been telling me to delete the pictures of other females friends, in which I asked her on what grounds I should do that.

Note: I don't want to invest in a lady that is not my wife, and I am afraid her family will see me as a rich guy from which her other siblings can benefit if I proceed with her.

Should I block every contact with her, or should I forget about standards and risk and look at the good side?

Please advice

Maybe go back to sleep and ask God to create your own specific lady from your ribs.

Hello everyone, please I need help and advice on how to go about my children’s application. I'm a little bit confused about their status here now.
We just moved to Canada as a family. My wife came here as a student (Study Permit) and I was given a Spouse Open Work Permit based on my wife’s status (student). We moved to Canada with our children who were issued study permit based on their mother’s status as a student. They are now in a public elementary school.
My wife just got her Post Graduate Work Permit approved and she is working now, I got my spouse open work permit too, but my children’s study permit will expire in a few months’ time.
There is no information on what to do for my children status, when their study permits expire.
What do I do next for my children?

Hello fellow Canadians,My family and I will be moving to Canada by year end, using Ethiopian Airline, we are confused of whether there is a maximum traveling bags you can travel with cus we actually planning to get the biggest size travelling bags but not sure if is allowed, I need advice on whether there is a standard for travelling bags.

And Also documents to be presented at the airports as a PR , is Covid vaccine update still required at Nigeria airport since Canada already removed ban for Covid at the point of entry.
Thank you

1. Every airline has a maximum weight for bags. It doesn’t matter the size of the bag, all that matters is the weight.

2. Check with the airline you are using. They will be the best to inform you.

I went to visit my brother yesterday, was surprised while we were seated in the parlour... the wife told her husband to go check if the woman selling provision is back.

This wasn't the first time, my brother stood up and went.. I was looking at her the whole time, she was looking at me. The anger was so deep but there is nothing I can do.

They are different instances I can give but no need for that...All I just want to say it's not good to be that calm type of guy.

This is not about being the bread winner of the house, my elder brother is doing very well for himself so is his wife.

As a man, it's just not good to be quite always or be quiet all the time.. gentlemanly. I just don't know how to say it.

Who should show the POF? Him or me?

Thank you.

You should apply for a spousal work permit directly.

Why you wan complicate things?
