Some of us are happier being able to give.
Most times I give and you wouldn't know the depth of my debts, but nothing is as fulfilling as seeing someone smile because of you. God no go shame us. |

Thanks to all who have shown love and support, I'm very grateful.
I have nothing to day to little minds acting like I stole meat from their mamas' soup pot. Nonetheless, their attacks, though unnecessary is still welcome for it is helping prepare me for what may come in the nearest future from electorates, so keep it coming.
However, for the records, I have been nonpartisan and have, for the need to keep my sanity, avoided the Nairaland politics section.
Nigeria does not support independent candidacy and as such, all aspirant must align with a political party and I have chosen the APC and without any regrets whatsoever. It is worthy of note that individuals and not political parties determine their performance and Abia state in that regard, have had more than their fair share of bad government despite governed by the PDP since the return to democracy.
Thanks once again for your encouragements and otherwise. |

MusaChukwudi: So they are now rushing the Amala Party? Please don't be unfortunate here. APC has a lot of South Easterners as their founding fathers and you'd be shocked to note that it has been winning elections in my ward from house of assembly to the presidency in the past elections but for rigging. Not many of us buy into your politics of bitterness on social media. And it is very likely not many of you who bicker online visit the the polling booths on election days. |

#THE INTERNATIONAL WHITE CANE SAFETY DAY 2020!!! Coming from Chioma Precious' table AKA [The Golden Eyes] .
The 15th day of October 2020 is the 16th national and 56th international annual celebration of the white cane day. The use of white cane started in the early 1930s in the United States of America and became legally recognised on the 15th October 1964. It was first nationally celebrated by the then President "Lyndon B. Johnson' . The white cane is an aid to the blind or visually impaired persons to enable them navigate their way. The white cane is not magical in nature but it is the advanced form of the locally made guide stic which can either be in foldable or non foldable form. It is meant to assist a blind or visually impaired feel obstacles,on his or her way and many more. Today we celebrate achievements, equality and above all the independency of mobility from the colonialism of blindness. From my heart of Hearts i beckon on everyone 2 always give a helping hand to blind or visually impaired person that you come accross on your way in other to make mobility easier. To our government please consider our plight when constructing the roads. Please we are tired of falling into gutters. Build our roads. To institutions, please remember we are part of your population. To individuals, please do not neglect us when you see us at different bus stops trying to cross to the other side of the road. Do not neglect us when you see us managing our ways out of the streets. Do not neglect us when you see us trying to find our ways to our lecture rooms and offices. At beholding you, the the white cane SMILES in anticipation for your patriotism. Politics › Re: EndSARS protests: Police Assist Protesters With Their Vehicles by mcdokwe(m): 9:39pm On Oct 10, 2020 |
buygala: I don't stand with #EndSars..I stand with #ReformSars particularly and #ReformtheNigerianPoliceForce..
As e dey go now, the #EndSars protests have been hijacked by Yahoo boys, prostitutes protecting their Yahoo Boy Customers, and even armed Robbers, kidnappers and murderers
I detest SARS Officers for their high-handedness and abuse of power, but these SARS guys are a part of the Police force particularly dreaded by hardened criminals....this is because these criminals know these SARS guys are also hardened crooks themselves and are licensed to act swiftly and ruthlessly to curb crime
You don't cut off your head just because your nose is ailing SARS as presently constitited have abandoned their primary assignment of apprehending armed robbers..after all SARS means "Special Anti-Robbery Squad...they have now taken or upon themselves to do EFCC's Job of apprehending Yahoo boys abi na suspected Yahoo boys, and have extended that to harassing citezens who make the mistake of appearing fresh, young and have the guts to have laptops and phones on them
That nonsense must stop...but that does not mean SARS should be scrapped..They are an absolutely necesary evil
In the whole mad hysteria which is the #endsars protest, Nigerians forget that there are more deadly police departments like the SACS (Special anti cultism Squad) IGP X-Squad Special Anti-Kidnapping Squad .
All these Squads are very joyless and are fully licensed to be as brutal, if not more brutal than the SARS Everyone is shouting about.. If the Police want to be mischievous, they will disband SARS and move all its officers to these other deadly squads for them to continue 'the Lord's Work"
Shebi i have read of a case where Soldiers connived and kidnapped a young boy in Imo State, under the guise that he was being arrested on arrested on suspicion of being a Yahoo Boy.. After kidnapping the young boy and forcing him to pay more than 1million naira to them, they killed the boy, dumped his body in the bush, and made away with his Lexus Es350 car..This happened late last year abi na this year sef.. Because of that, why haven't we called for #EndNigerianArmy?
I still remember how some officers of the same Nigerian Army killed many policemen while aiding the escape of a fugitive kidnapper in Taraba State..
We didn't call for #EndNigerianArmy because of that..
Point is..the fact of the existence of some Renegades in an organisation does not make that organization totally useless or worth discarding..
If the #EndSars protesters are truly serious, let us also end Nigerian Army because of their atrocities as well I held similar view until I was let in on their horrendous acts by those who've had first hand encounters with them. The previous reforms yielded no positive fruits, so we need to #endsars and we need to #endsarsnow not later. |
